Just wanted to mention another book that I downloaded for my Dad for Father's Day and I am halfway through: God is Closer Than You Think, by John Ortberg. It is excellent and my Dad is really loving it! I think it's been used for a bible study.

I just finished the first 3 books in the Twilight saga, continuous reading all through the 3. Am waiting for my 13 year old to finish Breaking dawn, so that I can start on that.
We couldn't wait for one of the Swedish copies at the library to be free (14 people in front of me!) so we borrowed an English copy. And that is quite a big book for my son to read, even if the language isn't that complicated, it is great practice for him (and me too for that part).

I just finished reading Twilight. I really enjoyed the book very much. I had made the assumption it would be kiddish. But I was wrong. It is well written, suspenseful and really a page turner.

Finished Breaking Dawn the other day, and is now thinkin' of what book to start reading next. I see that a lot of you are talking about My Sister's Keeper, maybe I'll try to find that. (Can't wait to see New Moon btw ;D In my mind, I am so totally teenage! )

I started on Stephenie Meyer's other book, The Host, and I'm finding it interesting so far. I haven't seen My Sister's Keeper yet -- I wonder if I should see the movie first or read the book first.

i did finish my sister's keeper a while back, and it was good. it's not really my type of book but i did enjoy it. i would say read it before seeing the movie. the movie has a completely different ending, and i prefer the book.

Hidyho! Just popped back in after a long time, no see.
I'm reading Tempted - a House of Night book. Also, re-reading New Moon. Have The Undertaking and Dracula.
So, what's up?

Not many books keep me up at night turning pages as much as the Twilight series did, so I thought I'd report what did keep me reading... Shade and Powers by John B. Olson.
What is everyone reading in 2010 (since this thread hasn't been active in a while)?

The Lovely Bones is a great book. Different but very well written and interesting "perspective." I recommend it to people all the time.

The Lovely Bones has been on my bedside table for eight years....I think I'm ready to finally re-start it.
Just finished Kafka On The Shore by Haruki Murakami ...interesting characters and story. My son gave it to me for Christmas.
