Aww Sher. Sorry about that. This song does the same thing to me everytime and for some reason I don't mind. It's very cathartic to me.

Considering how young and very Un-angst filled Jason is I am really impressed at how introspective he is on "So Fast". He was able to put into words the depth and feeling of what those people in the song are going thru, losing their loved one by suicide. Jason really conveys the REGRET the people in the song feels, how if they would have "held their tongue" or been nicer, maybe that person wouldn't have shot themselves. And the lyrics are so longingly final. Nothing can be done to turn back time and make things all better.

Thanks Floridamom, I am at peace with it all now, but that person and experience is still very much in my heart and I find the song strangely comforting.
Kqqky, I agree wtih you, I find the depth of Jason's words and his ability to express such depth so beautifully in words astounding. He was truly given an incredible gift.

His lyrics are amazing. I love how it makes you feel for every person involved in the situation and gives you a sense of hope on the other side of the grief.
It's a beautiful song with an intense meaning and deep message.

you know at first I liked the original better too, but the more I listen to the new one I really, really love the new one. I like the non-acoustic sound. It just took me a minute to get used to it because I was so used to the original. I still like the original, but I think the new version gets my vote. It makes me sad to say it now, but the original acoustic version just didn't grab me when I initially heard it, so I just sort of passed on it and never even listened to it properly ~ The very first connection I make with any song comes from the sound/music, so if I don't connect to the sound immediately, I can dismiss it and then miss out on appreciation of the lyrics altogether. ~ For me, it was only after reading what this song was about and going back to listen again, knowing the lyrics and it's meaning, that I appreciated how the music fitted the song so well, that I began liking it a lot. The version with The Heavy Steadies on the other hand, grabbed me right away, I loved it instantly musically speaking, particularly the electric guitar and drum beats. After the Tulsa gig, I found myself playing this song over and over and really falling head over heels in love with it. ~ Due to my new found obsession with the song, I then went back again to listen to the original acoustic version and found that I liked and appreciated it even more then, than I had previously. I fully understand why some people feel that the original is more inkeeping with the song's meaning/vibe. I do think that the heavier full band version still has a very haunting feel, but equally there are parts of the original acoustic version that have been mentioned by people that are missing from the heavier version too. So, it seems that there are those people who are attracted by the acoustic version, those who are grabbed more by the heavier version; and those who love both ~ so, maybe it doesn't have to be an either/or choice ~ I feel it could benefit all round, from having the two versions recorded/made available ~ please
