it's my favorite song, so deep, so sad... I hope it will be on the first album (to break a little bit the lovey songs...) can't wait to hear a studio recording...

I can't listen to this song - if i do i cry. I have a bi-polar child and it reminds me of him so much..

Of all of Jason's original songs this is my favorite. The lyrics are in a totally differant league than the others. Its not that I don't like the other songs its that this one is written from a life experience. There is more emotion to it. It comes from his heart and soul and he tells a story with his words that speaks to my heart.

I love this song too. It's filled with passion, which is what drew me to Jason to begin with.

This is my favorite Jason original. The lyrics and the whistling make it sad and haunting, but the guitar makes it not so sad - if you know what I mean. The poster who said that this song is in a different league, compared to his others - I agree, everything just flows.

When I first heard this song I wondered where within Jason it came from as it is so haunting and different from the other songs Jason has written.
Then when I heard the story that inspired its birth and the fact that it was written in one night... it just validated for me Jason's emotional depth, expressive talent and ability to translate feelings into music of the soul. He has such a gift.
"So Fast" makes me cry.

I can't listen to this song - if i do i cry. I have a bi-polar child and it reminds me of him so much.. There is so much emotion in the lyrics and music of So Fast and when you couple that with personal experience it can be too much. Makes me cry too Maggie! I'm so amazed at how well he captured the helplessness of the people left behind when someone dies too soon. Makes me cry BUT still want a studio version! And the whistling is amazing!

I guess I'm a little out of the loop on this one, I didn't hear the story behind this song. Can someone either explain it or post the link to where it is? I agree about the music and whistling being haunting and sobering!

I do love it, but it's hard to listen to. It accomplishes it's goal in making you think about things that are painful, but .... it's painful. Painfully beautiful though.

My favorite song of his....I can relate to it big time.
Having someone close to you commit suicide is the hardest thing anyone could ever have to deal with.

Unfortunately, I do know the feeling from experience.
The first time I heard So Fast, it gave me chills. Shortly followed by tears, Jason really puts a lot of real, true, raw emotion into the song and its felt big time.
