Oh Yayee Sunshine I'm so glad you started this thread we need to chat about AI9!
I thought Boston had some talent and Atlanta was more like the Gong Show. But as always I love when this show is on!
So far my favorite is Tyler Brady from Boston ... the drummer who fell out of the tree.
Must agree we will be seeing and hearing from The General again!

"Pants on the Ground, pants on the ground...Lookin' like a fool with your pants on the ground!" LOL, classic! I think I have a new favorite song.
Tyler (the tree guy) was really cool and I loved that little blonde country girl and Maddy Curtis (the girl who sang Halleujah in Boston...she's so cute!) I totally think she needs to hook up with Archie, haha.

She's a sweetheart. I hope she is on the show for a while. Country music usually isn't my thing, but there seems to be something special about her. She's charming.

Do you guys mean the country girl who jumps from bridges? She's my fav so far, along with the guy who fell out of the tree. I don't think anyone will come close to the pants on the ground guy for pure entertainment though.

Hey Deborah, yes...we're talking about the country girl who jumps bridges. She's great. I really like Maddy Curtis and Tyler the tree guy too. Also, Jermaine, (the church singer) is pretty good. But, I totally agree with you. No one (from this season anyway) can top the "Pants On the Ground" guy...but maybe the "I Am Your Brother...Your Best Friend Forever" dude from Season 7 could try :-)

I've found a link online so that I can watch the day after the show, so I can totally be in sync this year! At least this far... And I agree with you; tree guy and bridge girl are outstanding for me at the moment. There were also some others, but since I really can't remember them, I guess they didn't impress me that much anyway. My fav moment was when Mary J got "upset"... I laughed 'til I cried at that.

Yeah, and could someone please fill me in on why Mary J. got upset? I saw the show, but at that time I was talking to someone and I didn't hear what was going on. Her reaction really confused me and I know I missed something.
I also have to ask...what was up with that Andrew guy in the big glasses? He was such a jerk! And, he looked a bit nuts to me too...like he was going to come back with a shot gun and blow everyone away. And, to add insult to injury, he didn't even understand why the judges were so offended. Not only is he nasty, but it would appear he's stupid too.

Here are links where it seems you can see entire AI episodes americanidol.edogo.com/www.sidereel.com/American_IdolBorntorun probably has a better site but, you can check these out. Mary J was laughing hysterically at a bad audition. I can't remember which one it was though. And the guy with the humongous glasses was very scary. IMO, anyone who gets that upset about having to wait for an AI audition, where he has got to know there will be thousands of people, has problems. I think he needs some anger management treatment and fast.

Oh, it was a bad audition. Okay, because I couldn't really tell if she was laughing or crying, (thought maybe she was moved by his back story or something.) Thanks for filling me in.
And yeah, angry glasses dude needs to channel that negative energy and quickly before he ends up climbing to the top of a tall building and shooting at people...yikes! In a way, I thought it was kind of a shame because he actually wasn't a bad singer, it's not like he made me do back flips or anything, but he had talent. Still, I really think he was waaay too emotionally unstable to be in that competition. He totally creeped me out.

I love this thread!
I just read through the posts and I am cracking up. I love these names " tree guy" and "bridge girl " it's so funny! and we all like the same people. Bridge girl really tugged at my heart strings. Why can't I remember her name? I do hope we get to see more of her.
Looking forward to tonight in Chicago with guest judge Shaina Twain. I haven't been too impressed with the guest judges so far. Hope Shaina can do a better job.

I rarely remember the contestants' names this early in the season. But, I do know who I like and who I don't.
I'm looking forward to tonight's Chicago auditions too. But, I'm really, really looking forward to Dallas. Go, Go, Michael!!!

Here I was bragging about me watching online day after the show... well, that didn't last long! Two first episodes were up right away, but third took some time. There is one link up now for it Chicago auditions, haven't had time to try it yet though. Here's the link for those who want to check if it's working: www.yidio.com/show/american-idol

Personally, I wasn't really impressed with the Chicago auditions last night. I think Idol was pumping a dry well in that city this time around. The only person who really stood out for me was John Park (the asian guy with the good "bottom end"). Other than that, eh...I'd be very surprised if this years' American Idol comes from Chicago. Hopefully, Orlando will have better talent.

I finally watched both nights that I had on my DVR. Overall, not too impressed. I loved Shania Twain and really wish she could have the job permanently...Oh well. The only two I liked from Chicago (and I mean liked..no one blew me away) were John Park and Keith he sang a Brian Adam's song. On to Orlando....Seth and Matt were the only two memorable ones. I'm looking forward to Dallas and seeing MCas!

Yeah, Chicago didn't really impress me either, (except for John Park.)
With Orlando, I really enjoyed the guy with the autistic son and the guy who spent time in prison (they might have been Seth & Matt, but their names are escaping me right now.) The sisters were okay, decent. Either of them blew me away, though, and I doubt either will survive Hollywood week. And, even though he got the short end of the stick (generally) from the judges, I really enjoyed the beat boxing drummer guy. He could actually sing and I have to admit, I was annoyed that the judges were so on the fence about him, but yet they let that ridiculous pants splitting guy through without a second thought.
That dude was hilarious, I'll give him that. I laughed my head off. But, he barely sung anything and he didn't even get the name of the song right, (It's "Proud Mary" not "Rolling", moron.) ::sigh:: Sometimes I wonder about these judges.
I can't wait for the Dallas auditions either. We love you, Michael!
