Basically, they'd be CRAZYYY (pun not intended, hehe) to not release it on a soundtrack/itunes.
I mean when he first sang the song on AI it got Jeff Buckley's version onto the top song list - AND in the top ten if I'm not mistaken. So imagine what kind of stir there would be to make Jason's version available for sale.

I can see it now: the soundtrack for this movie will shoot to #1, meanwhile the movie studio executives will be scratching their heads, wondering how come the soundtrack is so popular when no one's watching the movie! I would elbow my grandma in the face to get a copy of him singing this song. [not really, but you see my point] #rofl1# SWL--you crack me up! Full length Hallelujah would be huge in the launch of Jasons solo career! Those of us who are already fans would snap it up, but new fans would be blown away..... This is so true! I like Buckley's version, but Jason's voice is so much better imo. |

Itunes would be crazy not to offer the full-length version of Hallelujia. Look at how well the short version did during the AI season, not to mention what exposurwe by Jason singing Hallelujia did for sales of other versions. The bottom line for Itunes is how much money they can make, so I'm sure they would want to release it there.

Jason's Hallelujah gives me chills. #faint# I can't wait for more songs to be available.
My computer crashed at the end of June and I lost all my music. #comp26# I can re load my CDs into my new laptop (not gifted by anybody - lol) but the iTunes of Jason's songs are no more. That's right - I hadn't yet made a CD of them. So just a word of caution, make a copy of his songs if you haven't done so yet... #thdoh-1#

If the version he did for the movie is their property how much would Jason get from the sales and since he was still under AI contract are they in on the profits too. Just want to make sure Jason gets his fair share.

When I first saw this title of the thread I got so excited! I thought there was a version out there NOW.
Then I realized it's for the movie. haha. Anyway, I am hoping his version does hit Itunes, but it is up to the movie people, not Itunes I believe. I also wonder if he recorded it in English? My guess is its Spanish, I am pretty sure the whole movie is in Spanish.
Even a Spanish version though would be beautiful, and I would still buy it!!

Hi Dani! My guess is thar will be in English. Many Mexican films include songs in English, so I think this will be the case too.
