Since I've had the great luck to have won the Soundtrack to Amir A Morir (thank you, Mariana #thanx# ) I can say that this far I've listened to Hallelujah like a zillion times! #105#
And soon I'm gonna listen to the other songs too!

Hi OTRainbow! You won't be disappointed! I'm so glad it was easier this time! Hi Mariana...thanks I know I won't. I just can't wait to hear it. Would you say it's recorded close to the way Jason sang it on Idol? Jason's voice in this song is heaven sent. When I'm stressed I put this song on and everything just melts away. borntorun- I'm sure i will be catching up to you real soon on the play count. I'll let ya'll know. ;D

*Sigh* I haven't been able to get on here for a while (WAY TOO LONG), and THIS was exactly what I needed. Man, talk about missing someone. Now, I've got some majorly nice goosebumps. *Sigh* I was never able to order the CD, 'cause I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to fill out the order form there. LOL! So, this is lovely....*More sighing* Iye, me...

I find myself playing the Hallelujah that Jason sang with the Steadies at TAMU, over and over. The build up and the pure unbridled emotion overtakes me every time. There is also a gasp or Ohhh, recorded during the song and it fits how I am feeling right at that point. Was just thinking about it so wanted to post.
Love all the versions and am thinking now that the TAMU version is my current favorite!

I'll have to play them all in a row to compare, Linda! Purely for research purposes of course...*ahem*

I had Jason on shuffle today while I was walking and all three Hallelujahs played!
(AI, TAMU and Amir A Morir) I'd be hard pressed to pick a favorite...each one is amazing!

MM - you've given me an idea to create a few playlists on my iTunes of different versions of single songs. I just love how his songs can be done acoustically or with the band. Each time he sings something, it's a little bit different -- I love that!

I'll have to play them all in a row to compare, Linda! Purely for research purposes of course...*ahem* Ha Ha...Kendra you are priceless! Really, as many of you have said, it is so hard to pick a favorite Hallelujah. I think that each one shows Jason at a certain point in his metamorphisis (?) as an artist as well as takes the specific audience into consideration. I will always love the very first performance on Idol that shows Jason raising his hand in praise as he sings Hallelujah and the very precious last note and his sweet grin! The Soundtrack version takes my breath away too...for different reasons. Well the TAMU Hallelujah was with the Steadies and I consider it the Rock Hallelujah. Hmmmmm....more research needed, just like you Kendra!! Ha ha! #thsmiley_peace#
