Hi Saintkaye, yep I did see AI on Friday (in fact I watched it again today on repeat as well - haha). It was great seeing Jason on TV again and Michael has a great voice. I hope that he does go far in the competition. Have you visited his myspace page and heard him sing?
I hope we get to hear about the International Street Teaming duties soon as well. I think it will be fun and exciting to promote Jason here.
Anyway, pretty late so I best try to get some sleep. Take care

Hi Everyone - Hope you are all well
Janlizette - From your pictures I would have said you were about 14. haha
Saintkaye - Yep Michael has had a music myspace for a while now I think? I am not entirely sure what the exact duties would be for the International Street Team, but it would be about promoting Jason here in the UK. It sounds like lots of fun and would be a good way of getting more people listening to Jasons music, which is always a good thing. Then fingers crossed when Jason tours he may come over here too.

Just having a quick fly-by ;D ~ Sorry I've not posted in here in a while, I can barely manage to keep up with the reading, watching videos and so on, let alone the posting these days ~ I feel a bit out of it, but I'm still out here anyway Saintkaye, many congratulations on winning that competition & trophy! & lots of luck for your upcoming set at Ryans ;D Yes, I did download White Christmas shygirl, I love it! ~ Did the radio stations you heard from play it do you know? ~ it can be like getting blood from a stone getting airplay here (unless it's by organisation of course ) .... which stations/DJ's was it that gave you the good feedback?

Hi Everyone - hope you are all well!
Saintkaye - Sorry I did not reply to your message sooner. Unfortunately Michael isn't in the competition anymore, which is a real shame, because I think he did a good job. Congratulations on getting to play your own set. You must be really excited, but don't get too nervous - I'm sure you will be fine. Good Luck for that - let us know how you get on.
Hiya Moonlight!! It's soo nice to hear from you! Glad you're ok. Unfortunately I don't think the radio stations played White Christmas no, but at least it brought Jason to their attention. I got feedback from Radio 2 (didn't even try radio 1 - that's just impossible). I also got feedback from smooth fm. I used to listen to Smooth FM driving into Uni and I remember the DJ in the morning talking about him and his wife watching American Idol every week, so i emailed him as well and got a lovely email back, but unfortunately no air play.
Anyway - will have to keep this short as I am at work.
Take Care everyone

Thanks Shygirl, I can't do as much online as I used to just now, but I still read as much as I can and try my best to keep up with what's what ~ got the email with the recent news about Love Uncompromised which was a wonderful surprise! ;D I listen to 2 occasionally, never listened to Smooth before though, 'tell 'em next time you know it will increase their listeners if they play it Maybe there will be more chance next Christmas for airplay for White Christmas, with a bit of a longer pre-Christmas run up time and Jason will be more well known for his own material too by then hopefully. Though I am acutely aware of the radio airplay restrictions and issues, in all cases I've not given up hope of hearing Jason on radio one too! ~ I feel he lends himself to finding recognition for his genuine artistry and surmounting the obstacles ~ I still see him at those summer festivals and in that live lounge one day ;D ~ besides they have a celebrity idol entrant as their breakfast show host afterall lol! ;D

Hi Moonlight,
I know I was soo excited when I got the email about Love Uncompromised and the performance on Idol - which would have been on tonight, but oh well - not to worry I'm sure everything will be worth the wait.
I was quite surprised that we could download Brooke's song on the uk iTunes - so I am keeping my fingers crossed that we can download Jason's songs as well.
It would be amazing to hear Jason doing the Live Lounge set and a great way to get his music heard.
Have you been watching the new season of Idol? I have but it's not really the same this year - the magic doesn't seem to be there. I quite like Kris but I guess it's still early days. No-one will be able to compare to Jason this year for me.

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. It's me shygirl - just changed my username.
Congratulations saintkaye on your gig at Ryans and great news that they have invited you back- well done. I admire your confidence. What kind of music is it that you sing? Is it pop, r&b, soul? Why don't you try out for x factor?
Did anyone manage to get tickets to see Michael Jackson? I believe that all 50 dates are now sold out! That will be soo tiring for him but hopefully a great concert for the lucky ones with tickets.
Take care everyone - hope you all have a good weekend. X

Hi saintkaye I like my newname better than my old one.
That's soo cool how you already have a number of original songs - wow you're extremeley talented! Not only do you win competitions and get great receptions at your shows but you write your own material too - way to go! I understand your apprehension about trying out for x factor with Simon being a judge, but you should still do it, you could win him over! At least you could say you gave it a go and you never know what might happen. Go for it Angel K!!
I wanted to go to the michael Jackson concert too but tickets sold out way to quickly. How excited will those people be who were lucky enough to get front row tickets.
It's gone very quickly this week- I think the lovely sunshine may have something to do with that though. Anyways I hope everyone is well and l hope you all have a great weekend!
Take care x

Well Hello BeckyBoo! ~ thought I'd been ignoring someone's posts in this folder at first for a minute then, then realised it was you! ;D Live Lounge ~ I was thinking more about after Jason is know for his own music over here, radio one or not, I feel Jason would be a good fit for a live lounge type session, since he's both a good live act and has the knack of covering various styles/other songs so well. I think White Christmas put that back in my mind again & at the time I posted, I was of the mind things were about to take off with the possibility of that imminent UK release and I was probably getting a little ahead of myself, imagining him already well known out here having done all the summer festivals and singing White Christmas in the live loung by next Christmas lol! ~ darn these delays! I had it all mapped out lol! ~ I read somewhere on youtube that Brooke has had radio airplay for her self-released track over here, don't know on what stations though, has anyone else heard it? Michael Jackson ~ No, I'm not going to his concert(s) I do hope it goes well for him and that it won't be his last as he stated. American Idol, both the changed format and the atrocious ITV2 scheduling, have meant that I'd not really seen enough of anyone to be sure whether I really like them or not. I did wonder if I might end up liking Jamar Rodgers in it, as I liked his tones on the bit I heard him do in Hollywood, but up until yesterday, I thought most were ok, but nothing had really grabbed me, I think I might have fallen into the ring of fire now though ;D Saintkaye, Simon Cowell is a pussycat really, most of it's a big act for TV ~ otherwise, he's generally honest, but it's just his opinion ;D But yeah, you'll need a thick skin for the music/entertainment industry generally anyway though. From what you've said, your confidence will grow the more you sing live in front of an audience, so it's probably a good idea to get some more experience of that under your belt and I'll look forward to seeing you on the X-Factor then ;D ~ If you can get someone to record you well, you could do a youtube channel; and put yourself on myspace or some place like that, especially if you're writing songs too, it's a good way to get public feedback first without putting yourself on national TV, if you're not ready for that yet ~ good luck with it all anyway

hi guyes.
MOONLIGHT~american idol ~the man who sang the ring of fire was atrocious and deppressing.
the girl who had a cold WHAT WAS SHE WEARING and the song i diddent like it.
but kris i love his voice and the one who sang wild angels i cried because im a belever of angels and i beleve they are looking out for us bless them all.
SIMON COWELL~ill never forget wat he said 2 brook white IT WAS LIKE HAVING THE BURGER WITHOUT THE BUN brooke cried when he said that and jason after he sang september morn IT WAS FORGETTABLE i hope he dont get paid for saying that stuff but then again he wouldent be there if he wasent.
i love the fact that u told me about u tube but do u know how to post on u tube can u tell me i might give it a go ive got a camcorder but it liturally eats my battries so ill have to get stronger ones in it at the moment the battries i have is uniross 800 and 2700 they are rechargables but i think ill have to change them to energizer or duracell which one do you think is best.
anyway see u next time round. angel blessings to all.

Hi Moonlight , how have you been - great to hear from you #thyahoo# I have heard Brookes song and even downloaded it from iTunes. She was soo lovely when I met her last year. I haven't heard the song on the radio though, but that's great news if she is getting airplay over here. Hopefully things will go a similar way when Jason releases his own material.
It would be great if your plans for Jason came true #fingerscrossed# I guess we need to be patient though and see what the plans are in America first before anything can done Internationally.
I was also a Jamar fan in the audition rounds and was quite disappointed that he didn't make it into the Top 36. He was definately one of the best singers.
I don't know what is happening with ITV2 at the minute and don't understand why they split the 2 hour performance show of AI to fit around the Paris Hilton show. It was very strange, but I think that has finished now, so it should all be back to normal.
I must admit that I am not a big Adam Lambert fan. I think that he can sing but it's not really my cup of tea. I have respect for him though how he made "Ring of Fire" his own. Even though saintkaye would probably disagree, you have to give the guy credit for staying with the type of music he does best. Adam seems to have more of Musical Theatre voice to me, so whatever happens in the show I'm sure he will have a career.
I really like Danny's voice though as I'm more of an R&B/Soul kinda girl. I also really like Kris and the quirkness of Megan.
I'm sure Saintkaye will be hitting her head on her keyboard right now, but I think that she looked really pretty in the brown dress she wore for her performance and she sounded really good. She gave the song like a bluesey tone, which sounded very effective.
Although I am watching the show, I still don't have the same excitment as I did last year watching every week. The magic definately isn't there, but there are some good singers this year. I think it is Motown week this week so that would be interesting to see what Adam does.
Anyway, I guess I will have to get back to work.
Take Care everyone x

;D lol! Are you after Simon's job by any chance saintkaye? haha only kidding ;D The Burger without the Bun type comment has been used before, but surely the filling is the best part anyway Anyway, Simon sort of stole/respun Foxy's Doughnut without the Jam comment from PopIdol ~ or maybe they still have the same script writer lol! Seriously though, far worse was said to/about Jason & Adam (& to many other contestants too) than burgars & buns ~ some do seem to get upset, whilst others take it in their stride. I think some of the negative feedback is genuinely felt/given and then it's helpful for the contestants so they can improve if they feel it's appropriate for them, but some things are said purely for effect, to create drama and manipulate the public/viewers etc... so if you ever did enter one of these things, you'd need to be prepared for all that kind of thing and not let it upset you. Re: Your camcorder, I don't really know because, mine has it's own rechargeable battery, but also runs off a mains lead. If yours runs off normal type batteries alone, then probably the stronger/dedicated to camcorder ones would last longer, the batteries I've seen tend to have pictures of the type of equiptment they are suited to on the packets. Maybe you could ask in a camera shop which ones would be best for yours. You Tube ~ I've never uploaded a video, so again I don't know really myself, but there is a help section on there which takes you through everything step by step I think. ~ You've got me a bit worried about the youtube suggestion now though saintkaye, because if you think Simon Cowell's words are harsh and would really be upset by that, they are nothing in comparison to some of the public comments I've read on YouTube If you're going to put yourself out there, anywhere, I think you'd need to be prepared for and able to deal ok, with both the negative and postive things that come along with it. Angels Blessings to you too! Hi BeckyBoo, Oh yes! I'd forgotten you went over there and met them. Awe, Brooke wasn't really my thing vocally/musically on the show itself, but I did get the impression she was a really nice person though. I love her artistic nature and I'm very impressed with her web presence too. I liked her new song and the duet she has done with Michael John's that's on her myspace too. (I hope we one day get to hear the one that she and Jason were working on together too). Things seem to be progressing nicely for Brooke, I'm pleased for her ~ she seems really sweet Kelly Clarkson did a live lounge in Jan or Feb? this year as part of her promo for her new album, I don't recall if she's ever been on there before, she may have, but she's definitely had to earn her way onto there over time, it's mainly down to the success she's had with record sales over here, so I need to be a bit more patient for Jason's turn to come around, I know ;D I think Danny is a good singer too, I like his voice, I'm just not taking to him for some reason, not sure what it is ~ This Adam (Devil) v Danny (Angel) thing they created ~ I sense them to be the opposite way around myself ;D Actually, I found the mentor, Randy? & his lady's reaction to Adam & his ring of fire, the freakiest and funniest thing of all ~ it sort of put me in mind of the initial reaction to the Elvis wiggle lol! ;D Adam's voice didn't grab me particularly, until he sang Ring of Fire, so it might be I just love his particular interpretation of that song, but that made me look into other stuff that he's done on youtube. I don't mind the theatrical at all ~ I love theatre (some anyway), but Adam often stays too much in his higher range for my general ear to be liking much of. I've now got a greater appreciation of his deeper tones and like the broader range he has. I think he's streets ahead of everyone else in the comp technically speaking, but of course can appreciate that he'll not be everyone's cup of tea as a performer/singer though, no one ever is, but the polarisation over Adam is more so than for most. ~ I've even enjoyed that aspect of it, it's meant the show has become something I'm looking forward to watching again now. I like Megan too ~ I don't rate her as a good singer, though I loved her take on Walking After Midnight. I like her quirkyness and think she's veeerrry attractive I think Allison is a good singer, I like her vocal tones. They are all ok the rest, Kris, Matt, Anoop have pleasant voices to my ear, but not really the X-Factor and for me. It's just that I feel none of them are as good, as other people already around who are similar genres to them. So it has to be Danny (Devil) versus Adam (Angel) doing battle over Allison & Megan for me lol! ~ I keep thinking there seems to be a trend for India doing well in things at the moment though, so maybe Anoop could be a dark horse, or maybe he just representing ~ not sure on that yet though. Oh no! ~ I must stop this, I promised myself I'd leave it well alone this time lol! ;D Take care everyone

Hi Moonlight and saintkaye! Hope you are both well. I think we are the only 3 who visit this thread now.
Did you see Jason on idol last night? It would gave been nice if he would have been able to say something, but at least he was sat somewhere where we could see. Hopefully that might jog a few peoples memories about how good he was on the show and create even more interest.
I have to admit the last 2 weeks I have been very impressed with Adam. I really liked his song choice during Motown week, when he kept everything simple. It was very nice to able to hear that side of his voice. I'm loving Kris too. He seems to be getting better each week. He's a very goodlooking guy too - is it just me or does he have a teenytiny look of Enrique Iglesias? He has a thing he does with his mouth when he sings, which reminds me of Jason with his cute little faces he pulls sometimes.
I think Megan didn't make good decisions these last 2weeks. There are a number of songs she could have chosen that she would have sounded great singing, but unfortunately she got sent home. I don't really understand what the bird reference thing was about when she was told she was in the bottom 3?.
Anyway, did anyone play or have an Aprils fools joke played on them?
Moonlight - I was thinking, have you thought about putting yourself forward for the country leader for the UK StreetTeam? You have some really good ideas of things Jason could do.
Take care x

Botheration! I just replied to you Beckyboo, submitted it and pooof! it was all gone! ~ timed out! haha ;D ~ which in part answers this: Moonlight - I was thinking, have you thought about putting yourself forward for the country leader for the UK StreetTeam? You have some really good ideas of things Jason could do. No, I couldn't do a job like that justice & wouldn't want to let anyone down generally speaking in regard to street teaming. I remember chatting about joining the street team some time ago with some of the IDF folks, I can't find my previous post just now, but anyway, same thing still applies. Although I may have ideas, spirit/heart etc... For health & family reasons, I don't have the combination of time/energy/skills/level of commitment available to me just now, that I feel is needed and deserved. I was thinking that would be your job by now anyway! ;D ~ I'll chime in as & when; and help you whenever in whatever way I can do though I'll chat Idol and other stuff another time ~ save to say, that I'm not sure I'd have noticed Jason, if I hadn't known beforehand he was there and where to look for him. I am still holding on to the hope that he's going to be on there proper ~ with a performance & a simultaneous download available for sale though! ;D Hope everyone is well/ok.
