Well I don't know if it counts but i loved I shot the sheriff. Don't know what the judges were thinking but i am glad jason was thinking bob marley that night. Wish he would have made a studio version of that. I would love to hear him sing it all the way through. Also I love the song Somewhere over the rainbow. That is what made me a fan.

My fav was the Hallelujia that Jason sang in the AI Finale. When he stood up from the stool and his hands were shaking and he delivered the lyrics with such raw emotion. I sat in stunned silence when the song was over. I've never seen a performance by anyone, anywhere, anytime, that touched me like that did.

I absolutely love Hallelujia and Daydream, but Fragile and Memory are right up there with them as my top favorites. I think that both of these songs were under-appreciated. #smileyCAS#

Okay I just replied in the other thread. Do you mean pre-idol, idol live / studio, tour??? Pre-idol would have to be Song about Stars & Someday Idol live would be Hallelujah (finale), Travelin Thru, SOTR Idol studio would be FIBJ, IDWC, If I Fell Tour is definitely CRAZY!!!
(I also love Only One, is that pre-idol??)

It would be Daydream... story follows... this is my first post other than the street team entry so I hope I do this right!!! hahaha... housecleaning today and found "notes". yes, i take notes when watching AI... call it OCD if you like. ) 2/19/2008 60's Night There are stars by David Archuleta, Michael Johns and Jason Castro... imagine that! The full Jason Castro entry with the star appears as: 866-436-5711 Jason Castro (20) TX Daydream R+P+S+ (Randy Paula Simon) He will win this thing!! There was a star by the Jason Castro entry every idol night... yes folks even I Shot the Sheriff... I LOVED IT!!! The others... well, those stars moved around from week to week. The last time an Idol contestant had stars all the way through my Idol journal it was Chris Daughtry. I just confessed to the Castro crazies didn't I... yes, and proud of it!!

There are so many good ones to choose from, but my favorite is Hallelujah. The finale version gave me chills all over.

I already posted my favorites earlier in this thread but I want to agree with the poster that loved I Shot The Sheriff. It went over "Idol's" head but not ours, Jason.

Although I agree with just about everyone that ALL his songs are awesome, my favorites would have to be "Travelin Thru" (that Sweet Jesus part gets me every time) and "Mr Tamborine Man" I LOVE his vocals in this one!

There is no way I could pick one! I loved Hallelujah and Memory, but also loved SOTR and IDWTC. Then there is If I Fell. In concert I loved Crazy! Love them all because I love his voice!

From the originals... So Fast. Just because it seemed so raw, and the lyrics were positively brilliant. After hearing him say he wrote it in one night and just sat down and recorded it, I was like, 'Ok, I like this kid.' It was a combination of Daydream, the video on youtube of Crazy @ the Prophet Bar, and hearing that song that made me pay attention. Really close.
