A lot of people seem to think it wasn't his best but I loved "Memory". Maybe I'm just biased toward that one because I love the song so much As far as his before-idol songs go...I can't choose! I like them all!

WOW!! This one's a tough question, erinavery...my favorite has changed at different times along this crazy journey of Jason's...I agree with the poster who loved "Memory"...Jason's voice in the studio version of this one reaches into my soul...love it (and I really wasn't a fan of the song before that). I also can't get enough of "Someday", "Travelin' Thru", and "I Don't Wanna Cry". But I never skip any of Jason's songs on my iPod playlist or CD in the car...I find all of them incredible for different reasons.

it's soo hard to choose, but i think i'd have to go with memory because the studio version left me speechless, it's so heartfelt and wonderful.
i also adore someday and i don't wanna cry! and the rest of his songs. hahah.

I don't know how you choose a "favorite!" I really do love them all.
No one ever mentions the studio version of Fragile, which I thought was gorgeous. But those mentioning the VERY underrated FIBJ and Memory are correct! BOOO SIMON!

Hallelujah would probably win overall favorite though - full version Jason, PLEASE?

I too find it so hard to pick a favorite, my first thought is If I fell, then Forever in Blue Jeans, but oh wait there's Daydream and of course Hallelujah and then oh............I don't know I love them all.

To choose one I would say "I Don't Wanna Cry" I love the emotion in this song and the way Jason really connects... pulling the heartstrings...his phrasing, tenderness and range just put it a bit ahead of the others (which I love as well)

I really like Clumsy too...of his earlier days...lol (what about 2 years ago???) Very sweet and so believable. Actually I think it was one year ago because he says, "been practising for 20 years..."

Anddddd...I do luv all that he has written. He definitely has a knack for finding a way to say what we might all feel in a new and fresh way...the Jason Castro way...what a gift! (Calmly and patiently awaiting his cd...just like ya'll)
