I completely forgot to watch today's episode on Soap Net...hopefully, I can catch it at 11, haha.
I can't blame Stephanie for that, no. But, Nathan might!!! Come on, Nathan...teach Stephanie to swim :-)
I know, right? I don't think I've ever once agreed with Victor. Or, if I have, it's been so long I can't remember.
I will brace myself for the sad "Days" ahead, although it'll be hard to top the sadness of baby Grace's death.

Philip and Nathan got into a fist fight outside the Brady Pub after Philip told Nathan that he and Melanie were going to elope to Vagas. They both got arrested and thrown in jail, and Stephanie and Melanie went down to the police station to bail them out. Philip was released first and, while Nathan's paperwork is being processed, Philip told Stephanie that he believes Nathan is using her in an attempt to get over his feelings for Melanie, and that's why he got so upset when Philip said they were getting married, (it seems like an accurate assessment, btw.) Then the policeman comes in with Nathan's paperwork, says Nathan is free to go and all Stephanie had to do was sign on the dotted line. Stephanie says "You know what? His grandmother can bail him out." and leaves Nathan to spend the night in jail. I haven't agreed with much of what Stephanie has said and done lately, but THAT, I have to applaud. Good for her!
FYI: Today's episode was a cliffhanger. Nicole is about to be sentenced. I will be happy to fill you in. :-)

Sunshine...on today's episode, Anna answered her front door with Sydney in her arms and E.J. was standing on her porch with that classic p.o.ed look on his face...that's how the show ended today, so stay tuned for further updates.
Nicole was also sentenced today. The prosecution wanted the maximum sentence of 70 years. But, after hearing testimony from Nicole and Brady, the judge said he had never seen a defendant so remorseful in his career, so he decided to show some mercy and sentenced her to 20 years in jail with time already served. (lame) Both Chloe and Brady came to say good-bye to her and Nicole told Brady not to write or to come see her because it would just be too hard. Meanwhile, Ari is upset because Brady continues to bend over backwards to defend Nicole and she is convinced he's still in love with her.
Meanwhile, Rafe has been reinstated with the F.B.I. and is annoyed with Sami and E.J. at the moment because he suspects they know something about Sydney's kidnapping that they're not telling him, (which is true. Anna sent them a ransom note demanding $5,000,000 and has instructed Sami and E.J. not to tell anyone. Of course, now that it would appear E.J. has located Anna, that might just blow up in her face.)
Maggie is preparing to leave on a South American cruise with Mickey, has left her volunteer position at the hospital, and gone home only to start crying at the kitchen table...no idea what that's about yet.
Last, but not least, there must be something in Salem's water supply that is turning all the women into nasty, snotty backstabbers because Mia took Gaby, (Rafe and Ari's younger sister, who has just started Salem High and has recently started seeing Chad) to Nicole's sentencing where she got filled in on Mia and Chad's past. Then, Mia tells Gaby that she believes Chad is her soulmate, but proceeds to go back to Maggie's house for a hot and heavy make-out session with Will. Who is writing this stuff? It seems very out of character for her.
The Bo/Carly/Hope/Justin story wasn't covered today. But recently, Hope caught Carly and Bo kissing and told Bo she thinks their marriage is over. (I'm not sure if you know this) Also recently, Justin was kicked out of Victor's mansion for kissing Hope on New Years Eve. Officially, they kissed because they were trying to cover their butts. On New Years Eve, Justin and Hope started snooping around Vivien's bedroom looking for some clues as to what "Carly's secret" might be, but before they could find anything, Vivien and Victor came home so Justin and Hope started kissing so Vivien and Victor wouldn't find out what they were really up to. But, unofficially, there are some feelings developing there. It's obvious. And, Vivien has now told Bo, so he knows about it and is very upset. Meanwhile, Carly had a flashback of a romantic New Years with Bo. So, it looks like some partner swapping might be in the works.

haha, aww shucks! Thanks guys...and I'll be happy to recap for you as often as I can.
Today on Days:
Mickey died of what I assume was a heart attack while he was upstairs packing for his and Maggie's cruise...that's what Maggie was crying about. Hope came over and called 911 for Maggie because she was too upset to do it herself. And now, Hope has gone over to Alice's to break the news to her.
Justin told Bo that he was always the one who tried to convince Hope to give Bo a second chance, but that he is done with trying to be "the good guy" where Hope is concerned because he says Bo has no right pointing fingers at him for busting up his marriage while he is getting involved with Carly, (Amen brother!) So, the gloves are off there. Carly was in an elevator with Vivien at the hospital, and admitted to Vivien that she did kill Lawrence because he was a "violent, psychopathic monster" and if she had it to do over again, she would. Vivien admits to Carly that she regrets ever having buried her alive and that she wishes she would've buried her dead. Then, the elevator reaches Vivien's floor, and Vivien left and Carly got stuck in the elevator for a few minutes, (been there, done that btw. It's not fun.) and Carly starts freaking out because being trapped there is reminding her of being stuck in that casket. Then, of course, it's Bo to the rescue, he calms her down, and they start making out.
Will decides that he can no longer trust Mia and breaks up with her. Good for him!
And, as it turns out, E.J. somehow arranged Sydney's kidnapping with Anna and is paying her to keep Sydney with her until "the plan" is carried out. So, E.J. was in on the kidnapping the whole time and stay tuned to find out what this plan is, haha.

Excellent!! *hands clapping*
I was very surprised to find out EJ was behind Sydney's kidnapping. Did not see that coming.
Mickey's death is the spoiler that I was referring to regarding needing Kleenex. Sunshine - they are using John Clarke's pictures in the scenes and not faux Mickey from recent months.
This show is so good!

Thank you sooooooo much!!!
Hmmm, EJ behind the kidnapping? Payback for Sami lying about Sydney in the first place, maybe? Or...a way to get Nicole into more hot water?

You're very welcome. Us Days fans need to help each other out :-)
Yeah, E.J. being behind the kidnapping might just be revenge. He's never forgiven Sami for keeping that from him and it definitely sounds like something he would do. I like this theory...I like it a lot!

Could be the reason behind EJ planning Sydney's kidnapping...interesting..
Well, Bo & Carly have gotten much closer, if you know what I mean. Yuck! Don't want them together!! Hope suspected and confronted Bo with it and he did not deny it. She knows.
Yesterday was filled with people finding out about Mickey's death. Great scenes with Maggie, Lucas, Melanie, Nathan, Doug.

I love when Doug and Julie are on. They'll knock sense into Bo and Hope. They always do.

I have to respectfully disagree with you there, Sunshine. I like Doug okay enough, but Julie gets on my nerves...she's such a busy body...not a good trait.
On the whole Bo/Carly/Hope thing: (Kind of off topic, but...) Is it just me, or is Carly built really strangely? ::shrugs:: There's something very unnatural to me about the way she looks. Plastic surgery maybe?

Hey D.O.O.L. Fans...I bring you sad news today. Frances Reid, (Alice Horton) has passed away at the age of 95. You can read the article here: www.popeater.com/2010/02/04/frances-reid-dead-at-95/?icid=mainSo...it's been a while since this thread has been updated. Has anyone been watching? Does anyone need a recap? I've been really bad about my updates, but have kept pretty good track of the show. So, if anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

I'm going to go ahead and post an update because I was/am so excited about today's episode. (My sappy side is about to erupt, fair warning.)
Philip and Melanie were married today and she looked absolutely beautiful. (I had my doubts about her wedding gown. I thought it was pretty at first sight, but not really fancy enough for the occasion. Once I saw the finished product, though, I changed my mind. She was stunning. And, Philip looked so handsome. I love weddings!) I am sad to say she didn't marry Philip without doubt. She wrote a letter to Nathan saying that if he still had any feelings left for her that she wouldn't go through with the wedding, (she nearly backed out of the ceremony a few times) but he refused to read it. When he didn't respond, she decided to walk down the aisle. I'm glad, though because she and Nathan are good together, but I think her and Philip are much better suited. Anyway...
Vivien's plan to kill Melanie to get revenge on Carly didn't go quite as planned. It was revealed a few weeks ago that Melanie, not Mia, is Carly's daughter and Vivien nearly decided not to go through with her plan because she had grown to like Melanie. Victor had also forbidden her to go through with it for Philip's sake. But Vivien decided revenge was more important than Victor's orders or her affection for her future "daughter in-law". She had given Melanie a decorative comb to wear in her hair as a wedding gift, which had untraceable poison in the teeth. Gus, (Vivien's henchman) kidnapped Carly and brought her to this basement of an old building, so she could watch Melanie die on her wedding day via the Internet. Carly knocks Gus out and tricks Vivien into meeting her in the basement, (by sending a text on Gus's cell phone.) and when Vivien comes, she tells Carly that she's too late to save Melanie because the comb was already in place and she would be dead within a half hour. Carly went postal and started chocking Vivien. Then, Hope rushed in, informed Carly that Victor switched the combs without Vivien's knowledge, and puts Vivien in handcuffs. Gus came to at that point, knocked a bunch of large cargo boxes on top of Carly and Hope, un-cuffs Vivien and the two of them leave. Carly came to, managed to free herself from the boxes, calls 911 for Hope, (who is knocked out), then steals Hope's gun to go after Vivien. Vivien is planning to get Melanie alone at the reception so she can try to kill her again.
In other Days news: E.J. is planning to take Johnny and Sydney to live with him on some unnamed far away Island where Sami will never track them down. He was very upset to learn today that Refe and Sami have made up. I guess he doesn't want Refe sticking his nose in and figures he's less likely to do that if he and Sami are apart, (and obviously he wants Sami to be as miserable as possible.) And...
Chloe is pregnant with Daniel's baby. She and Daniel plan to keep it secret for the time being, the only other person who knows besides them right now is Ari, and she only knows because she ran into Chloe as she was walking home with the pregnancy test. So, that's my latest report. Bye for now :-)
