[...] P.S. Did anyone else get super excited when the two of them were on the screen for the briefest of moments tonight? OMgoodness I sure did...screamed a little, danced a little, giggled a little, then danced a little more. I can't wait until tomorrow and after that voting time![...] Yes, I was super excited too, haha !!! :-D In fact, it was a very nice surprise as I didn't knew his brother would go to auditions. Wow !! And I was super glad to see he did well !! I think this guy has nice vocals, a lot of potential. Can't wait to see what will happen... :-P Good luck, Michael !!!!! |

THANK YOU SO MUCHHH! i missed the actual airing and was so upset. my sister was like...oh you missed jason's brother and i almost cried haha. nbkldnbfd! <3 was that all of it...or did they jason again? ;D & i love how kara was like 'he's a little cocky that guy aye?' he kinda was like 'yeah i can do this.' hahah.  |

i'm a pretty big fan of Michael since I seen him on idol, that boy can sing, i just love the Castro boys, period.

I like Michael's voice. I agree with most that it is distinctly diff from Jason's. Jason and Michael seem to have diff personalities as well, just from the little I know about Michael. I am certainly rooting for Michael if he gets into the top 36. I wish him all the best if this is what he wants to do. I see he has gained many younger female fans too. Not that Jason doesnt have those, but it seems that Michael is attracting the appropriate demographic for his age. Talent def runs in the Castro family starting with papa and trickling down to his children.

I hope Michael continues to persue music even if he doesn't make it past hollywood. I really think he's got a good voice w/ lots of potential. I don't know that he'd make it as big as Jason but he could have himself a nice following at some small venues and sell some EPs independently. To me he sounds most like Jason in his cover of Feeling Good, the first "it's a new dawn" right when he sings 'dawn' he sounds JUST like Jason.

This may be a bit early and Betsy can confirm it, but this info came to me through a Google alert for Phil Stacey. Michael, along with Jamar Rogers, and Phil, are supposed to take part in the Well Done Awards. I have not heard of this, or the lady in this blog and her site, before until this Google alert. Stars of the hot Disney show "iCarly," Nathan Kress and Noah Munck will be working the red carpet (in tuxedos), interviewing arriving guests. This year's headliner is 2007 American Idol finalist (and former church music minister) Phil Stacey. Also singing will be 2009 American Idol contestant Michael Castro (brother of 2008 American Idol fourth place contestant Jason Castro).
American Idol "warm up artist" Cory Almeida, to warm up their own audience. Almeida will hand out T-shirts, interview people in the audience and otherwise get the crowd fired up, just like he does with the Idol audience before the TV cameras roll.
