Hey y'all. Just wanted to jump in for a second. I wanted to say that I really enjoyed Michael's version of "This Boy." He is very talented, and I can definitely hear a little Jason in his voice. Do any of you hear it as well? Just wondering.
I am hoping Michael makes it so that I have another Castro to root for!
BTW, make sure you stop by the street team threads if you are interested in promoting Jason this year. It should be a lot of fun!

Dan, yes I hear it too. His voice is different than Jason's but I hear a little of the Castro magic too, as I'm sure others do... It's no secret I will be rooting my hiney off for Michael. Both of those songs are hard to get outta my head after hearing them...
Top 36 for MCas, we can all vote beginning Feb 11. Woohoo!
I also think it is awesome that you are a Regional Leader for Street Teams. WTG!

I just listened to the music on Michael's myspace and he is AMAZING. Jason said that Michael sings better than him but I didn't believe it...now I'm not sure. They are both so unique and wonderful that one could never choose. I almost cried a little listening to Michael's voice...it's truly breathtaking.
P.S. Did anyone else get super excited when the two of them were on the screen for the briefest of moments tonight? OMgoodness I sure did...screamed a little, danced a little, giggled a little, then danced a little more. I can't wait until tomorrow and after that voting time!

I have to say, I really like his voice, its very soulful, with a great tone to it! He reminded me of Bob Dylan a little bit when I was listening to "This Boy"
Can't wait for tonite!

Hey keagirl- you do sound like Rereader and that's a good thing we need all the cheerleaders we can get!
I'm still trying to get used to Michael's voice. It's gonna take some time for me to get used to. IDK- Jason's voice fits his look, but Michael.... not so much. I like his voice very much and I think he did a super job on Wed. night but I need to hear him sing a few more times to put it all together.

Ok this is what I think well I did see michael's audition and i think he did ok. To me he could have picked a different song or something .im not gonna lie .the boy can sing but im not gonna lie .I think he sung a bit too fast and seems like he wanted to prove he can sing and get out quick . I don't know maybe its just me but yeah jasons voice is so much better. There's no comparison.
I wish micheal good luck on american idol.hope he goes as far as he can.!!!

I am really impressed by all these people going into an audition like this, standing there singing a capella (which is NOT easy) in front of people that they've never met before, just waiting to get judged.
How they can perform so well under that pressure impresses me everytime. I think Michael did good in his performance, and hope that he will get a lot further, cause I think he has potential, and with proper help and guidance it will be good.
I'm not the one to judge who's voice is better, I'm not good enough for that, how they perform technically is not the most important thing for me. What they express, emotionally, when they sing is what makes me like what I hear.
