I think/hope this thread is open for anyone to post...cause here is the shirt I made for Jason and gave to him in Detroit. Of course! We want to see all the great gifts people gave to or made for Jason. There are just multiple posts from me because my original post (which was a thread brought over from DDB) was too big and freezing up the thread, so I broke it up into smaller posts right after one another. How did you make that shirt? It's amazing!

It took me a while to get it so I could put it all on here but here's what I made for Jason from the SW Florida Dreadheads and the story behind it. The Sandy Seashell Margarita Just after finishing it waiting to give it to him at the concert the album had 20 pages with pics of the beaches the bag it was in with the album and the towel and the story that went with it... The Story of the Sandy Seashell Margarita Jason, It all started when I either read or heard that you loved the beaches of Florida. I got to thinking that there needed to be some way that we could give you a piece of the beaches of Florida. At least those beaches on the Gulf coast. I kept thinking about it and it hit me, why not go to as many as I can in a day and take pictures of them. That way you would have different beaches you could look at whenever you wanted to. Then I thought more and decided, why not get a seashell at each one to give to you. That would give you a piece of each beach to actually hold. I thought that I would make a shadow box with the seashells in them. So I set out with my youngest daughter (Sue) and the two youngest grandkids to hit all of the beaches we could. We had to stop first and pick up a few items for school for the kids at a mall. I discovered the huge margarita glass while there. As I stared at the glass, it hit me. Why not put the sand and seashells in that. So I got that. Of course, I would have to figure out how to make them stay in it. We then started out to the beaches. We hit the one with the whitest beach at Siesta Key in Sarasota first, and we also got the sand there as it is the nicest. We took pictures there and also one of a seashell that went into the collection. Then we went to Nokomis Beach and did the same. On to the next beach¡KVenice beach, then Caspersen beach, then Manasota beach, then Blind Pass beach, then Englewood beach and then Boca Grande which has the lighthouse. We ended at Gilchrest Park getting the final picture of our Charlotte Harbor at sunset. We took you on a tour of the southwest coast of the Florida beaches, eight of them and our harbor. Just a piece of Florida beaches for you. I then had to figure how to seal the margarita. I scoured the local craft stores and came across Liquid water. That is what you have on top. It will always look like water with your Florida seashells and sand in the glass. I went on line to make a neat little memento scrap book with the pictures of the beaches, seashells and the beautiful Florida skies and sunset. In the end, you have a Sandy seashell margarita from Florida with a little picture book showing where they came from. All of it wrapped in a Florida beach towel. All of this is in hopes you will always remember your Florida Dreadheads who love you dearly and are always going to be your support and there for you! The full story of the Sandy Seashell Margarita for you to enjoy when you have time to read it. Bonnie Roach, DH 2619 & the Florida Dreadheads August 21st, 2008 Sure hope it liked it. It was a lot of work but well worth the effort for him... #smileyCAS#

Wow, you guys are very creative. That's awesome! I wonder how much of this stuff Jason's been able to really look at. He's probably overwhelmed by the gifts!
I will point out, though, that my drawing up there was something his family could have, so it was for Jason but mostly for his family since I had found out that his mom liked it.
