So is this membership a one-time fee? Or is it kinda like we pay a year?? I feel like it should be a one-time fee? But the card in the pic only said 2008-2009 so it might be an annual thing? IDK, I haven't been in a fan club since I was about 10 years old, so that's been awhile and I don't remember. If it was annual back then, I was only in for one year as there is no way my parents would have paid annual dues on something like that! LOL |

LOL I don't know about this fan club, but usually you pay the initial fee and then you renew every year. The renewal fee is generally not the same amount as you pay initially though. This is just my experience from other fan clubs. I have no information about this one. |

Just wanted ya'll to keep in mind that since the store was put online before it was ready, there may have been a lot of things you've seen that have caused questions -- fan club membership terms, renewals, etc., that will be clear when the store is REALLY open.
Yesterday may have just been a blessing in disguise because with all the things you guys have noticed and mentioned, there may have been something in there that will be helpful to the person managing that area of the site, something that may have not been on their 'to-do' list, so thanks for all your input. It's appreciated very much.

I joined the fanclub yesterday but on PayPal it says cancelled.
Does anyone know if it has to be reordered and when the store
will be back up?

I ordered yesterday also and my paypal just says unclaimed not canceled. Which just means they will charge me when they ship most likely. In any case another thread said the store would be back up and running in a few days..... so no worries. |

I have a question. Can anyone help? Can i use my credit card or do I have to open a pay pal account? I started to order and all that came up was pay pal. Not sure what to do so I just didn't finish. The only choice that was listed was paypal. Kimi, I don't believe you have to have a paypal account to pay via paypal, as long as you are using a credit card. You mainly would need the paypal account if you were receiving money, or if you were wanting to pay out of your bank account. Someone correct me if I'm wrong! |

VanCanDance -- I'm responding as just another poster on the board, not in an official capacity. I don't have any information on what process went into creating the fan club membership kit. I understand your point but I disagree with it. Fan club membership fees cover a lot of expenses, like administrating the fan club (printing supplies, mailing costs, etc.) the costs of web domains, advertising your site, etc. etc. That stuff can be a huge expense and can be a hardship on artists who aren't multi-platinum sellers. If a fan is paying a membership fee that helps cover those costs, I think they deserve some exclusive perks that aren't available to fans who don't join. Oh I know all this. And I agree. I'm just a poor University student that needs to spend all money on tuition and books right now.... that's when it gets kind of frustrating when you're missing out on exclusive things for things that are beyond your control! |

It's a good thing that the site is not working right now. I would much rather order and sign up for a membership when they work out all the kinks. I have not even seen any of the merchandise or was able to sign up for the fan club yet anyways. I would like to request that you order/make some cute girls shirts like fitted T's or tank tops would be nice. Jackie needs to work on that part!! Something young and hip! (Even though I'm not that young) Haha. Not everybody wears guys t-shirts.

Is it possible to give someone a gift membership? If yes, do you need their complete name and address or is an email address sufficient and then they could contact the person informing them they've been given a gift membership??  |
