I guess I'll jump in and start this thread! Rochester Bus Stalking ReportWe saw some SERIOUSLY beautiful people today and Jason is at the top of the list! If you are even remotely thinking about the bus stalking, YOU MUST GO. I will tell you right now that pictures and youtubes do not do any of the idols justice. First, I must thank Jasonized and Someday59 for meeting up with me today and making it a really fun time. Our bus stalking actually took place in the nice air conditioned lobby of the Blue Cross Arena. There were only about 150 - 200 people tops when we first were let into the lobby and about 2 deep in a big arc behind a rope-type barrier. There must have been at least 20 beefy (and I mean BEEFY) security guys surrounding us. I didn't think they'd appreciate me taking a picture of them. There was a smallish group of Dreadheads and us three, but not alot of overtly obvious Castro fans. Let me say up front that I did not get anyone's autograph (not even Jason's - could have though) and did not take any photos of anyone except Jason. <<<<<<<<Very loyal. I really can't find the right words to say just how beautiful Jason was today. I'm not making this up -- I mean really! He got to us pretty quick and signed shirts and took pictures (I caved and took a pic w/him but I'm srsly considering shopping me out!). So we step away from the tape and continue to follow him the rest of the way around the arc. I just kept holding up my camera trying to get clear shots of him. When he's right in front of you or one person away you want to stare at him, but he's always looking up at people so you feel rude for staring. It was a lot of fun just following behind the 2 or 3 deep and getting as many shots as you could. I knew my seat wasn't the greatest so I took the bulk of my photos here in the lobby. Jason was out for an entire hour. So the stalking commenced at about 2 PM and lasted till almost 4 PM. Apparently, we have no news in Upstate New York because all 10 idols came out today. Below are photos of my trip around the arc with Jason. i527.photobucket.com/albums/cc357/realmccoy_photos/ROCHESTER%20-%207-27-08/realmccoyROC08.jpg[/img] Rochester Concert ReportI have never been to an American Idol concert before, so I didn't really know what to expect. Just what I've read lately. The one thing that surprised me the most was the age of the concert goers. Old like me - haha! But also quite a few young families. Also, from hanging around in the afternoon, it takes a lot of effort and a lot of people to pull off one of these concerts! I'm pretty impressed. The merchandise was over-the-top expensive. Bottled water and cotton candy $3!!! I didn't dare look in the beer booth! I didn't buy a thing and was very thirsty by the time I got home. I have no way to judge how loud our crowd was as compared to say Utah. I brought earplugs but decided not to use them -- it wasn't that bad. The Rochester crowd seemed to cheer the loudest for Cookie but the longest for Archie. I would have to say that Jason probably was third in terms of cheering. <<<<<<<<<Note: last concert attended in the 70's (I think we were pretty mellow - I think). I will not post my thoughts on the other performers here. Intermission - Went by faster than I thought it would. Guitar Hero commercial is cute. Jason on drums = love! Jason - Lots of cheering! I was really struck by how loud he sounded. I was expecting to not be able to hear him very well (why would I think that?), but that was totally not the case. He sounds so much better live -- I cannot stress this enough! He didn't chatter that much between songs and whatever he did say, I don't remember. Everyone was singing along to his set (mostly OTR). I'm a little bit biased, I know, but he sounds fabulous live in concert. I WANT MORE JASON!I think from here on out there should be a movement at each concert when Jason finishes "Daydream" for an encore before he leaves the stage. He could sing anything - something silly even - just something! Here's several pics zooming as close as I could zoom (which wasn't very close):

Copied and pasted from DDB without edits, in order to capture excitement of the day!
Okay, fellow Dreadheads…here’s the story of my very own Jason Day… (But first…a little background info—feel free to skip it and jump right into the events of the day, in the next section. If you’re interested in the details of my personal day of magic, though, I’m happy to share! Looong story a little shorter…my daughter ‘Amasetta’ and I both totally fell for Jason, which was a complete first for both of us. She lives in Sacramento; I live in Rochester, NY… She went to the concerts in both Fresno and Sacramento… Her birthday fell on the day of the Fresno concert, and as a gift, I sent her a Cordoba ukulele just like the one Jason plays, which she received the day she returned from Fresno… (She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education and her Master’s Degree in Choral Conducting…so it was definitely given for the purpose of being played…but ended up being SO MUCH MORE!!) I sent some sheet music, too…including Iz’s version of SOTR. Within half an hour of opening the gift, she was playing it really well and singing along… So…here she is with the beautiful new ukulele and another concert coming up in a few days… I’d dreamed that she could somehow get Jason to sign it, but thought that might be just too perfect to come true… Thanks to her Sacramento Dreadhead friends who encouraged her to bring it to the pre-concert *fingers crossed* signing, she not only accomplished the signing of the uke, but saw him play it and got some awesome pictures with him afterwards. As if that all wasn’t amazing enough, the whole experience was videoed by several random idol fans and posted on You Tube…as well as many great photos of Jason playing and signing the ukulele that people posted on DDB. Needless to say, both Amasetta and I were on cloud nine… You’ve got to understand that we are completely and utterly taken with Jason, and Jason alone! None of this crossing over our affections to a David or an MJ when they walk our way, or falling for other idols in past or future seasons of AI…it’s ALLLL about Jasonnn...and will be forever, as far as we’re concerned!! Okay…flash forward to my concert day in Rochester… I wanted to try to do something special to kind of link the part that I had played in Amasetta’s Sacramento experience, that magical day itself, and my time with Jason in Rochester…so I took the two nicest photos of Emily, Jason and the uke…added some text relevant to the day….and had them put onto two cups—one for me and one for Amasetta. I left a large blank area between the photos, hoping that—after explaining the whole thing to him—I’d be able have Jason sign them both. * sigh * Lofty expectations for someone as reserved as myself, given the crazy atmosphere of those signings… So, there I was on Sunday morning, with my cups carefully placed in two easy-access nests of bubble wrap within my tote bag, my baby blue Sharpie tucked within easy reach, and my convoluted tale of Amasetta and the Jasonized ukulele bouncing around in my mind, trying to imagine how I’d actually get close enough to Jason for long enough to unscramble my rambling account to the point where I could ask him to put his chicken scratch on my ‘unusual’ items….) Phew! If you waded through all that…well, I don’t quite know what to say…thanks? I got to the Blue Cross Arena a little after noon and parked right next to the buses, thanks to a tip from my brother who knew they’d be in that particular parking lot… And, thanks to Mrs. S.’s amazing banner, I saw my group of Dreadheads right away! There was tennyson613, daydreamingurl84, Mrs. S. and her friend Gail, and tennyson’s adorable little daughter (with the cutest name, that I guess I shouldn’t say…). And talk about a well-behaved, patient child—wow, she takes the cake! We later met Hallelujah4Jason and a bunch of other Jason fans. Everyone was great, and so excited about seeing our guy! After waiting outside for at least an hour, we were told to go inside the atrium lobby, where the idols would come out, one every 15 minutes or so… We all ran around the corner and inside, where we found barriers already in place. Unfortunately, because our little group had been the farthest from the corner, we didn’t get into the lobby until the barrier was completely full, at least three deep. I scoped out what looked like the least crowded spot and jumped right in… After at least another hour, MJ came out… Then Chikezie, followed by KLC, and then David A… Oh…one kind of funny aside… Before any of them appeared, all the idol fans were so desperate to see someone that when David’s dad, Jeff, walked by overhead, he got an enormous cheer. Yeah…we wanted our idols! (Well, the only one I wanted was Jason, but….you all know that by now.) As more of the idols came out and made there way down the line, it became apparent to me that—despite everyone’s best intentions and promises—those at the front, near the barriers, were not going to budge even after the idol they’d come to see had already passed them and was far down the line. By this time, I’d more or less reconciled myself to the fact that there was no way in the world I’d be able to push to the barricade for a face-to-face encounter with Jason, much less have the time to explain my strange request…and I was getting more and more nervous about whether I’d even get that one special moment of recognition with him. You know the one I’m talking about…where he’s looking just at you, and for that brief second in the span of eternal time, you’ve entered his realm of consciousness…like, * he's aware that I exist in this world with him.... * And, of course, you’re trying to convey every nuance of feeling you have for him in that one long glance… Yes, I so wanted my moment with Jason…! Finally, the screams begin again, and this time we could see the top of a dreaded head above the crowd!! It’s JASONNNNN!! I think we all screamed at the top of our lungs…I know it was loud, and there was screaming in my head. We were near the end of the crescent-shaped line, still about three people deep from the barrier. The closer he got, the more excited and anxious I was… Would I get to speak to him…? Would I get to touch him…? Would I be able to get his picture looking just at me…? Could he sign something else, since the whole idea of whipping out my ‘unusual’ objects was seemingly impossible…? I was snapping away with my camera…got several pictures of him with other people—not Dreadheads, per say, unfortunately. That’s the thing…EVERYONE wants their picture taken with him, despite how they may have ranked him in their order of idol preference before that moment. There's something about him that draws everyone to want to be near him... But here’s the wonderful thing…. Despite the fact that I am not the least bit pushy by nature, and wasn’t very close to the front line, I had two invaluable assets going for me…I was wearing my official Jason Castro shirt in a crowd with relatively few of them, and I had my whole heart’s desire right there, within reach of my arm. And it turned out that my heart took right over when it counted most. The rest is a bit of a blur to me…all I know is that somehow I was suddenly standing right in front of Jason, with nothing between us but a thin ribbon of fabric…and his full attention was on me. It was as if, in the midst of all the chaos, the pushing, the vying for his attention, a little bubble of calm had been created around just the two of us… I don’t remember exactly what I said, but I know that I asked him if he remembered Emily, from Sacramento, who’d had the Cordoba ukulele that he signed….he said something like, ‘of course I do…’ (with that low, undulating Jason intonation). I asked him if he’d mind signing ‘something kind of unusual’…he said something cute like, ‘sure…how unusual…?’ Somewhere along the way I told him that Emily was my daughter…that I’d made the cups as a keepsake of her day with him… Somehow, I managed to be completely calm as I reached into my bag and took them out, one at a time, along with the blue Sharpie, and watched him sign them. Like I said, it’s all a bit of a blur, but I remember him handing the pen back to me, and feeling confused by the fact that he was giving it to me. Then I realized it was because I’d just given it to him, and he was returning it (duh)…then it took me another split second to realize that the reason he didn’t also hand back the cap was because it was still in my other hand. I also remember telling him how incredibly happy he’d made Emily that day…but I forgot to explain that a big part of the ‘link’ between her day and mine, as represented by the cups, was the fact that it had been I who gave her the uke and suggested she take it to her concert in the first place. It was all just amazing, though….beyond amazing. After my encounter, he kept glancing at me…I think he may have been wondering why I didn’t ask for a picture with him… It was so cute, though. Maybe I was imagining things, but it sure seemed as though there were several puzzled glances cast my way before he moved on. Oh, and then Daydreamingurl and tennison asked him if he’d pose for a picture with the banner…which is easier said than done, given the wide area that needed to be cleared to accommodate all of us… He softly said (with head bowed, while signing something for someone…yes, he is a great multitasker, which makes that special place he carves out just for you all the more amazing), ‘let’s do it…’ And, we did! Aw, Jasonnnn… So, that was the first highlight of my day…. The concert was great…but, to be honest, the only part I really enjoyed was Jason’s set, and then seeing him during the last number. My seat was very close to the stage, but right under the enormous bank of speakers, and everything was so loud it sounded more like distorted noise than music. Thank goodness Jason’s songs weren’t the power-blasters that most of the others were… Like most before me, I found that his time on stage seemed to go by in a heartbeat… One great moment was seeing Mrs. S., with her banner, dancing right up to the stage during Daydream! Way to represent, Nat! Oh…along those same lines, I gave out at least ten of the Jason/Dreadhead business cards to people, all of whom were very grateful to receive them. That was a great idea, and it truly is effective. I encountered many concertgoers who were uncommitted to any particular idol, and curious about my adoration of Jason. By the time I’d expanded their consciousness about him a bit, they were eager to learn even more—hence, the cards. The one thing that I wished I’d done during my first meeting with Jason was to physically touch him in some way…like, just shake his hand. So, after the concert I found the group of people waiting for the idols and took my place…again, at the far end, and at least three people back from the barrier. Long wait….first KLC, then Chikezie, David A. and Jeff, Carly…then the dreads come into view again!!! People go crazy….and he runs down to our end to start signing!!! Well, when he got to my area there were zillions of people shoving things at him to sign, but again, I think my shirt helped me out, ‘cause he seemed to give me such one-on-one attention… I politely asked him if I could shake his hand...and instead, he grasped it the way you would if you were helping someone down from a cliff or something…like, with a full commitment to the moment, which lasted at least two seconds. It was amazing, and I’ll never forget it as long as I live. Okay…that’s my story. If any of you have actually made it through…wow! I commend you! Thanks for reading! Oh…one last thing… I did say a few words on the live cast, but probably didn’t come across as nearly as excited as I was feeling… And, Amasetta…so sorry I didn’t give you a personal shout-out… My head was still in the clouds from so much Jason, and I was completely lost in my for-real daydream….quietly basking in the after-glow

Originally posted on Castrocopia-Hi All - I'm not sure what I can add to the concert recaps. Jasonized & Co. did an awesome job! I pretty much agree with everything they said about everyone's performance, so, I'll get right to my stalking Idol Concert adventures: Thanks to Jasonized, my friend and I were able to find the buses quite easily. We arrived around 11:00am and there was already a small crowd. The buses were parked on one side of the street and the Arena was on the other, where some fans who had been there since 9:00am were already waiting, in the sun. We stayed across the street, in the shade. About noon we moved to the other, hot and sunny side because the security guards told us they would be coming out around that time. After about another 1/2 hour-45 minute wait, they told us that there was a change in plans, signings were going to take place in the lobby inside! Everyone made a beeline around the corner for the doors. I was laughing and running the whole time. What fun! The crowd wasn't that large, so we were able to get right up front. (As time when on, it filled up more and more) I was with Jasonized and RM at this time. As we were standing there, we see movement down the hall - it was the Dreads! Screaming ensued, Jason stopped in his tracks doing the cute hand flailing thing he does, waves and scoots back into a doorway. Adorable! Then they put up a portable screen so we couldn't see down the hall anymore. The first one out was - RAY! I got excited and took his picture. He looked grumpy. Next was MJ, then Archie, then JASON. We picked the right spot, because he started at our end of the line. He was as patience and attentive as all of the previous reports. I asked him if he got to see much of Toronto and he replied "Not enough." Then we had our picture taken and he signed my shirt. Everyone wanted their picture with Jason and they asked me to take it for them, which I was more than happy to do. Then I looked at Jasonized and RM and said "I'm going to follow him." And they said "us too" and we followed and watched in blissful happiness as he worked the crowd. Fast forward to intermission and we're standing there talking to a security guard we befriended. I turn and look to see Ray walking past us. I yelled "Ray!" he turned and I said "Will you take a picture with me?" He said "No, you don't want my picture." I said "Yes, I do! You're famous on our boards (or maybe I said blog or forum or something)" His face brightened up and we posed for our picture. He looked happy when he walked away.

copy and pasted from DDB:
Alrighty heres my story.....
So it all strated with me going alone... sad i know but im a VERY friendly person and this did not bother me.... i knew i would meet some awesome dreadheads to hang out with!! So the day sarted with mme meeting up with Tenny and her beautiful lil girl at their hotel, we made signs and talked about how excited we were. At about noon time we walked over the the arena where we met up with Mrs. S (and her beautiful banner) her friend Gail and Amasette. We were crankin the Jasonnn tunes and having a good time standing right next to the busses!! Which i knewww the Idols were in but the security told us that they were already inside!! lol we all know how that goes! Well a lil while later the brought out the barracades and set it up so that there was like no space for anyone.... and we ended up being like 3 rows from it when we went over... bummer i was very sad and wondering howww were we gonna pull this off?? A little later the big guy in charge said that we should all go inside the the lobby in the venue and that was were we would meet the idols... bc of saftey and space issues outside... This ended up to be a GOOD thing! we got in and of course itwas packed already so we stood looking for a good spot to try to get in. The awesome security guard told us to go over to the left side so we went over and ended up meeting some REALLY nice ppl. Even though they were JASONNN fans this worked out for our benifit! We talked and they said when he came over they would let all of us up front!! yayyy! So first MJ came out and he was super cool! and even sang to our "lil dreadhead" lol then it was chekeze ( idk how to spell it right) then came Kristy who had to go back for some reason then David A, we were happy to see all of them and Chekeze is VERRRY nice! awesome personality!! He like bear huged me and then took a great pic with me!! anywho... THENNN IT WAS TIME FOR JASONNNN! we all got super excited... like a lil kiddy... it was nuts! he started on the side away from us so we all ran over there and i for snap happy and took like 30 pics... then i saw tenny and her daughter getting a pic and was like hmmm mabe i can get in there! so i got right in and asked for him to sign my spirt towel (which Mrs.S gave me!!! Thank you again girl!!!) and he touched the top of hand as i held it and signed it! ::sigh:: lol then i asked for a hug and he smiled and said sure... omg the eyse are AMAZINNG they like go right though u! and he had a lil scrff goin on which was verrry cute! touched the dreads and they are also very corse... lol. Then I got a pic with him... he looks BEAUTIFUL!!! lol aafter that i ran back to the other side alll fluttered and was talking to our new friends and they all were laughing at me bc i was soo giddy! lol then he finally got back over to us and we stood there and gave him our gifts and just talked to him...it was amazing. and I actually had the guts to ask him if he had any passes for the aftershow party, and he goes "yea maybe y?" with his cute lil grin.. the ni asked "do u think u could hook me up with some?" lol and he said "sure write ur name down on a list and ill take care of it" OMG I WAS SHAKING SO HARD I COULD NOT WRITE!!! then we took a group pic with him and our huge banner!!! I was right next to him and cuddled right into his sholder!!! (im the blonde on the right!) lol so we made our list and gave it to him when he walked back by, at this point i was on cloud 9!!! After this we went to eat with all our new friends and had an awesome time at lunch talking about the idols! lol the guys sitting next to us looked at us and snikkered vertime we said something! After lunch we went back to the parking lot and hung out then it was time to go into the show!!! We went to go see if our passes where there and no luck.... big time bummer!.... we kept checking for like 45mins still nothing.... at this point i was like WHAT HAPPENED!!!?? We all know Jasonnn forgets things... but i was very saddened. So we went to find our seats, I was all alone bc i had bought my ticket alone and was kinda sad i would have to enjoy all the jasonness alone.... as i sat ther e i looked on the floor for my new friends...and i spotted 2 allllll the way up front so i went down just to say hi before the show started. and the WHOLE row they were in was EMPTY 10mins before the show! so what else whould i do?? I HADDD TO STAY! lol i called Tenny and told her to grap her daughter and get down here!! so yes there we sat FOR THE WHOLE SHOW!!! 4 seats from the tip of the stage!!! everyone was great chekeze was sooo cute!! and the girls were good too...they are all gotten SOOOOO skinny! THENNNNN it was time for JASONNNN!!! i called Kali for the live feed and hoped all would go well!!!! he was amaxinngg and i got awesome pic veryyyyyyy close like 2 yards from his feet!! lol i was dying inside!!! after everyone rocked the house we went to so see if we could get to the aftershow but no luck so we went outside to what was a MOB!!!! and noone came out for like an hour!! finally KLC the MJ the Chekeze... THEN JASONNNN lol This is when i called Kali and was gonna try to get a shoutout for my ppl! i finally got to Jasonn or at least and arms leanth... and asked him for a shoutout and he did it!!! YAYYYY!!! then i went to chekeze and he talked for a while... i couldnt hear him but he deff said a lot! lol then my bf called when he had my phone and he said "ut oh the husband is calling" lol oh dear forget him talk to the dreadheadsss!! lol then he put syshea on.. then i found MJ and told him to say hi and he says "HI DREADHEADS, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY?" lol omg thanx MJ... but dont forget we are DREADHEADSSS! not Aussies!! lol then that was all... All in all even though we didnt get back to the afterparty... IT WAS AMAZINGGG! Jason is a beautiful person and i soooo cant wait till he has a solo tour!! I met AWESOME ppl who btw the other ppl we met the non jasonn fans (which we turned into jasonn fans) lol thought Tenny and i knew eachother for years!!! lol which it does feel like! THANK YOU TO ALL THE DREADHEADS I MET FOR MAKING IT AN AWESOMEEEE DAY!!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!! AND THANKS TO KALI FOR BEING THERE ON THE PHONE FOR ME WHEN EVER I CALLED!!

The next step is to meet up with our fellow dh's and go to the afternoon greet YAYYYY!!!!!!! Did you make that shirt! How adorable! How do you do that? It looks like something Jason would've done. When Jackie was around 8 or 10 all the jeans with the paint drippings were so in style but she was so petite we could not find any "cool" jeans in he size, so he took a pair of her old jeans and a couple of different spray paints and made her a custom pair of paint dripped jeans!!! #####################Title: Re: Getting Ready for Tonighttt........(with pics) Post by: Jason4EverMyIdol on July 27, 2008, 08:31:19 AM Quote from: Jasons mom on July 27, 2008, 08:19:51 AM Quote from: tennyson613 on July 27, 2008, 06:35:59 AM Here are some pics of what my daughter and I are doing to show Jason our support.... You're killing me here! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Amasette on July 28, 2008, 08:53:40 AM Okay, fellow Dreadheads…here’s the story of my very own Jason Day… (But first…a little background info—feel free to skip it and jump right into the events of the day, in the next section. (Thank you, Connelly and sister!!!) As if that all wasn’t amazing enough, the whole experience was videoed by several random idol fans and posted on You Tube…as well as many great photos of Jason playing and signing the ukulele that people posted on DDB. Oh…one last thing… I did say a few words on the live cast, but probably didn’t come across as nearly as excited as I was feeling… And, Amasetta…so sorry I didn’t give you a personal shout-out… My head was still in the clouds from so much Jason, and I was completely lost in my for-real daydream….quietly basking in the after-glow #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: kali on July 28, 2008, 09:08:42 AM I made it all the way through and hardy *CLAPS* go to you...I pray each and every dreadhead feels the happyness you experienced yesterday! Aw, Jasonnnn… The one thing that I wished I’d done during my first meeting with Jason was to physically touch him in some way…like, just shake his hand. Well, when he got to my area there were zillions of people shoving things at him to sign, but again, I think my shirt helped me out, ‘cause he seemed to give me such one-on-one attention… I politely asked him if I could shake his hand...and instead, he grasped it the way you would if you were helping someone down from a cliff or something…like, with a full commitment to the moment, which lasted at least two seconds. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D i can understand the blur effect jason created on fans. thanks! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: HannaB2 on July 28, 2008, 10:33:17 AM Wow, Amasette! What a great story. I enjoyed every word of it! I'm so happy you had your Jason encounter and got your cups signed!! As for the blur of events, I remembered very little of my encounter with Jason, even right after it happened, so was thrilled to see video of it to remind me of how great it was! #####################Title: Re: Getting Ready for Tonighttt........(with pics) Post by: etihwwons on July 28, 2008, 10:41:04 AM Quote from: tennyson613 on July 27, 2008, 06:35:59 AM Here are some pics of what my daughter and I are doing to show Jason our support.... I made this shirt for my little girl following apocolypsemeow's directions... thanks!!! The top sign is mine, bottom my daughter's. We are so excited, and have had a really fun mom/daughter time already. We got to Rochester yesterday and walked around downtown (stalked the venue ) We went to a nice dinner, then made our signs and got dessert from room service... The next step is to meet up with our fellow dh's and go to the afternoon greet YAYYYY!!!!!!! So, I only got through the first page of this, and when I saw this, I had to reply.....I SAW YOU GUYS!!!!! I thought that shirt that your daughter had on was absolutely ADORABLE!!!! And it looks like you guys got to meet him!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!! I haven't got my concert "explosion" written up yet. I always write REALLY LONG DETAILED concert experiences, and this is going to be no different. I have a lot to type. ;D It'll be more like a story, than a concert experience. I'll be starting to write it up a little later today. And I won't even say beforehand whether I got to meet Jason, or whether I got to give my gift to him. You won't find out unless you read. ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 28, 2008, 11:37:55 AM I figure I'll also post my shirt picture, and also my sign picture, and my buttons, and link to the thread in the main forum that has pictures of all my gifts. Here's the shirt picture: The sign picture (It was glow in the dark, hehehe): I also had one for David Archuleta. I LOVE him! He's my second favorite. My sign for David focused on one song, When You Say You Love Me, which is a Josh Groban song, and I am a HUGE Grobanite, and have been so for over 5 and a half years. The Archie sign said: "Archie + WYSYLM = 1 Grobanite". Hehehe. Here are the buttons I did for the concert: And finally, the link to the thread wtih my gift pictures in it: www.daydreamingboy.com/forum/index.php?topic=7963.0 (http://www.daydreamingboy.com/forum/index.php?topic=7963.0)

How wonderful for you! Jason just seems so sweet, and gracious - it warms my heart, everytime I read a story like this. Ethiwwons(sp?) I LOVE those buttons you made! So cute. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Amasette on July 28, 2008, 01:32:41 PM Quote from: suprgirl3142 on July 28, 2008, 09:10:54 AM Thats so awesome Amsettas mom! I actually talked to you on the phone in Fresno, CA. When you were telling me about Emily. Thats awesome that you got to meet him. Did ya get me pictures? Hey, Supergrl! I posted a few on the Eye Candy thread... Nothing to brag about, I'm afraid...but, in the case of Jason, I'm sure that anything is more than welcome. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: sadie! on July 28, 2008, 01:37:35 PM Amasette, thanks for telling us your Jason story! Great story! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: neesygurl1625 on July 28, 2008, 01:40:53 PM Wow Amasette! I read the whole thing. And like somebody said earlier, it does make you relive your own experience with jason. And i totally know what you are talking about when you were saying how he looks into your eyes, and only for those few seconds all he is doing is focusing on you! I was at the sac and San Jose shows, and at the Sac show i was standing right in front of him, and I he was definielty looking into my eyes for a good 10 seconds during his performance of daydream!!! The was he sang "Bundle of joy" to me...OMG!!! i could just think about that forever .Then meeting him... i was literally lost for words. I almost forgot to take a pic with him the first time I met him! He is so gorgeous in person! But great story! Boy was it long, but well worth it! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 28, 2008, 01:42:59 PM Hanna, Tybar, thanks! Don't worry about spelling out my SN, just call me Snow. Or you can call me Elyse. Whichever you prefer. Most people go with Snow (online anyway). Okay, I'm gonna start on my explosive explosion write-up now. ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: daydreaminboutjc on July 28, 2008, 02:20:05 PM So I was there yesterday too! We found an awesome spot to stand, right by the door where they came out behind only 2 little girls! We were actually in a different spot behind about 4 rows of people,So when MJ and Archie came out we were really far back, but my mom rocks and found us a better spot, so because of where MJ started, we were the last people he saw, and he had a conversation with us. Now when Jason came out, I got so excited! but I didn't cry, I didn't faint, and I didn't say anything stupid. I went to get my pic with him and my mom couldn't get a pic at first, because she was shaking so bad. So he kind of walked away and was signing other people's things, and then I asked him "Jason can we try again" and he was such a sweetheart and said "SURE!" So that's my avi! I got a lot of pic but I really like this one. He's concentrating so hard haha i269.photobucket.com/albums/jj80/swill155/jasondreads.jpg?t=1217279996)#####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Mrs. S. on July 28, 2008, 02:29:33 PM Hi Dreadheads! I have some great pics to share with you around 6:30 PM EST when my dtr comes home and shows me how to upload them to photobucket and send you guys the link!! I was with Amesette, Tennyson613 and her darling dtr (Li'l Dreadhead), DayDreamingGurl84 and also met Hallelujah4Jason, DayDreaminboutjc and a few others in Rochester. You'll see them all, and others, in the group photo with my banner -- and YES, WITH JASONNN! What an absolute doll! ...and oh, what a day. Tell ya more later. Amesette's story pretty much captured the day -- an experience none of us will soon forget! Hang in there -- pics are coming. I promise! (Feel free to copy whatever you'd like.) Mrs. S. (Natalie) #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 28, 2008, 02:57:43 PM When you say "banner", do you mean that HUGE banner that was on two big.....sticks (LOL, badly put, sorry)? And during Jason's performance you walked down the aisle with it, toward the stage? I saw you during the intermission, and during Jason's bit. Hehehe! I waved my sign at you. If that was indeed you. Okay, I've got part 1 of the story written up. So here it is. Now keep in mind, my longest concert explosion ever was 30 pages long. So if each section to come of this explosion is as long as the first part, it'll only be TWELVE pages long, which is SHORT. LOL! ;D ;D ;D Okay, let me start by saying that my whole concert experience includes some really great ups, and some really depressing downs. LOL! Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to leave our house until about 1:30, and the venue is a GOOD 45-50 minutes away. And after we left, we realized that we’d forgotten sunscreen, which is important to have when you’re planning on standing outside in the sun for hours, and your skin is so fare that you go from pasty white to lobster in 0.68 seconds. So we had to stop and get some sunscreen. While we were there, I looked for a Rochester postcard to put into the gift bag I had. Hadn’t had a chance to get one yet. But they didn’t have it. Then, on the thruway, we stopped at one of the rest stops, because, well….we didn’t want to have to use the bathroom 5 minutes after we got to the venue, and be totally stranded. I got a postcard in the gift shop there, although they didn’t have ANY Rochester postcards. They had Albany ones, but no Rochester, which didn’t make any sense at all. So I just picked up a generic, but pretty, New York State postcard. I wrote on it: “Rochester, NY, July 27th 2008. You were here and I so was I. This gift is just a little something to say thanks for the music.” So, we got to the venue at about A little before 2:30, I think, and were VERY surprised to see NO ONE at the barrier outside. So we asked the security guard what was going on, and they said everyone was in the lobby. So after having a moment of confusion over the strangeness of the situation, we went inside. There were a lot of people in side, forming a U shaped line, and we had no idea where to go. We saw some people taking pictures to the left, so we went over. I think the first person I saw was Syesha. After a second, one of my friends who was with me said: “Okay, you want to stand right here!” She practically pushed me into position, and there was JASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had a fairly big freak out. I started shaking, and when I saw him, I gasped, nearly yelled: “HOHMIGOSH!!!!!” Then froze. LOL! The line was probably 5 or 6 people deep, and I just got as close up there as I could. But man, I was dumbfounded. Absolutely dumbfounded by how insanely gorgeous he was. He was sporting some stubble on his chin, which I kinda liked. And I got to see all his bracelets, up close and personal. He had a pair of dog tags on a chain wrapped around his wrist too. He was being really sweet with the fans, and then I saw him hug someone, and had to pinch myself so that I didn’t charge through the crowd and attack him. Archie was out at the same time, practically right next to Jason, which was way too overwhelming, since I love Archie too. (He’s got an absolutely STUNNING voice, and he’s adorable. The Idol powers that be might have been pimping him, but they pimped David Cook too.) I was only standing there for what seemed like only a minute though when security told them they had to leave!!!!!!!!! I was like: “WHAT!!!!!!! LEAVE!!!!!! ? WHAT? ??!!!!!!! NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” Now, if I had been thinking straight, I would have made an attempt to simply hurl my gift bag at his head, over the crowd. But, dude……I was standing only a few feet away from JASONNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! Thinking straight at that point was not an option. So alas, they left. We were thinking that they would come back out though, so it wasn’t a big deal. We got a spot in line right at the barrier, and waited. They had press to do, which is why they had to leave, but we figured, fo sho, they’d be back out. I mean…..that couldn’t be the end of my encounter, could it? I still have this gift bag that I worked on completing for, probably, months, and it was expensive, and no autograph, no NOTHING! I put those thoughts right outta my head as we waited, and tried to keep all my crap straight. I had the gift bag, 2 programs (which HannaB2 had so nicely sent to me), which were pretty darn big, a huge 40 oz water bottle (I get thirsty a lot, and have to have TONS of water), an Archie headshot (again, thanks to HannaB2), my printed out 5x7 picture for Jason to sign (BASICALLY the same design as is on the shirt, only clean edges, more lyrics, etc), and the GOOD version of my shirt. Ya see, I had two different versions of it. The first one I had printed did NOT come out well. You couldn’t even see his face. So I had to do a second version. I wore the first one before the concert, and the second one out so that he could sign it, and then I was gonna put it on for the concert. I also had my terribly annoying purse, which has a very short strap to it, and kept falling off my shoulder. So standing in line trying to juggle all this stuff was real interesting. LOL! The first person to come back out after the press and stuff was Ramiele I think. She started on the side of the U (an upside down U, so I guess it was more of a Horse show? WHATEVER! It doesn’t matter) on the other end from where we were, and started working her way down, taking her time as she went. I’m 5’10”, and I couldn’t even see her over the people!!! She was so tiny! LOL! She got to us, and one of the friends who was with me got her picture taken with her. And she signed both of my programs (one of them was for my brother). I THINK it was after Ramiele had either completely finished up, or almost totally finished up, Carly came out, and started working her way down the same way as Ramiele. And then Brooke came out. And since Carly was starting on the other end, she came down to OUR end, and started with our side, just a few people away from where we were, which was really cool. Brooke is my favorite girl, and my brother’s favorite girl too! Brooke took a REALLY long time with the people. She was FOREVER with the people on the end. So long, in fact, that Carly got to us before she did. My friend got a picture with Carly too. I asked her if she would mind signing both programs for me, and, like, before I’d even finished the whole sentence, she was like: “Yeah sure, no problem!” And she signed both of them. And then my other friend (the one who had so wonderfully pushed me into Jason land when we’d first went in) said to her: “Yeah, her brother would kill her if she didn’t get him an autograph.” And Carly laughed, and said: “Uh-oh! Don’t want that. We don’t want any drop-kicking!” LOL! It was really funny. She got down to the end, where Brooke still was, and the two of them talked, and talked with the fans, and looked at the little top 10 book things that those people from Idol Forums had made for the top 10 (which Brooke actually mentioned DURING her part of the concert). They read off a few of the things about the different people, and Jason had been voted most photogenic, and Brooke and Carly were like: “Oh yeah, that’s definitely true!” I was like: “Hehehe! They’re talking about Jason! HEHEHE! I JUST SAW HIM!!!! HEHEHEHEHEHEHE!” Finally, Brooke got to us, and she was just a doll. Really really nice. She signed both of my programs too, and I wanted to explain why I wanted her to sign a second one, and maybe give her a little boost, by letting her know that a GUY actually voted for her, so I just said: “My brother loves you,” as she was signing the second one, and she said: “Suuure…” It was kinda funny. It was kind of a funny response, and I didn’t know whether her response meant: “Why are you telling me your BROTHER loves me, and not you?” Or if it was more, she got that the second program was for my brother, and sure, she would sign it. I donno….whatever the case, she was really sweet. And then David Cook came out. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: BabyBlue21 on July 28, 2008, 03:12:47 PM I am so jealous!! And it turned out that my heart took right over when it counted most. The rest is a bit of a blur to me…all I know is that somehow I was suddenly standing right in front of Jason, with nothing between us but a thin ribbon of fabric…and his full attention was on me. If this had been me, this is what would have been blurred out. . ."Knowing this was my last chance, I went into crazy stalker mode from four rows back. With one stroke, I elbowed two screaming Archie fans to the ground while 'clotheslining' an unsuspecting Cook fan to the side, stepped on a puppy to gain a height advantage, and used a row of three 9-yr-old generic Idol groupies as a launching pad to land in the front row." #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Mrs. S. on July 28, 2008, 03:43:58 PM La Pics, girls! Or did you do it yourself? #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 28, 2008, 04:21:56 PM Alrighty, here's part 2! ;D Okay then! Looking at the pics, it looks like David C was the FIRST one to come out, before any of the girls….but that’s not how I remember it. HAHA! Jason must have REALLY scrambled my brain!!! LOL! That’s okay though, I’ll just tell the Cookie part at this point. It’s fine. My friend who’d shown me Jason is as crazy for David as I am for Jason, so she was REALLY excited when David came out. He started at our end first. He said he only had 10 minutes, and apologized for not having been able to get out earlier. Hugs and pictures were out, because of the short amount of time he had. My friend got his autograph first, and she touched his arm too. Accidentally, but still, she was REALLY happy. LOL! I was next. I didn’t even BOTHER having him sign my brother’s program. Cook was all mine. LOL! So, I got his autograph, and I don’t know what else….I honestly CANNOT remember much about it. I don’t even remember if I said thank you, or anything. I remember he looked gorgeous, and his speaking voice was REALLY nice. But other than that, not a clue. Again, I must have still been scrambled from seeing Jason. We were there for about an hour and a half, and then they had to clear the lobby, which meant we had to leave. We decided to go back to the barrier by the buses, and before long quite a crowd had gathered. We got out there at, like, 4:00. Venue security told us a few times that they weren’t going to come out. However, we chose not to believe them. LOL! However, after about 45 minutes, the security guys actually took the barriers down, and said they needed to clear the sidewalk, so at that point, we believed them. And I was depressed. Yes, there was always AFTER the show, but DUDE!!!!!! Unless we totally opted out on most of Cook’s set, to go out early, there would be no way of getting to the front of the line. And even if we did get to the front, HAH! Being in the front of the line in Rochester is an ABSOLUTE nightmare. It’s so stressful, and you actually fear for your life every time someone comes out, because all the people behind you surge forward, and the barrier nearly gives way on you, and you almost get crushed. So, I had a dilemma. Put my whole family, and my friends out, so that I could go after and give him my gift and meet him, or wait, and try to get tickets to Wilkes-Barre, to see if we would have a better time of it. Meanwhile, after we got kicked off the sidewalk, we went to the car, ate a little something, got all our stuff together, and waited for the doors to open. At about 5:30, we happened to notice that a crowd had once again formed at the barriers by the buses. So, we went back, hoping that the situation had changed. We were there for like 15 minutes, when another security dude came out, and told us to leave. LOL! He said the doors were already open, and that we could go in, but it was a lie to make us go away. Hahaha! So, we got in line to go into the venue. Now, let me back up here a little, for a second. When we first went into the venue, and I saw Jason, and was standing in line, along with what I mentioned before, there was something else I noticed. Now, I’ve seen lots of pictures of him, lots of close-ups of his hands on the show, and in pics, however, when I saw him in person, the very first thing I noticed, other than the dreads, were his hands. He has absolutely beautiful hands! Wow….that’s why I noticed all the bracelets, and the dog tags on his wrist, it’s ‘cause I was just staring at his hands, because they were lovely. He has nice, long fingers, and just…gorgeous hands. LOL! Yeah…..REALLY nice!!!!!!!! Okay, going back to going into the venue…. We had pretty darn good seats! Section 104, row G. The section on the side right next to the stage, only 7 rows up. Really great seats. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Mrs. S. on July 28, 2008, 04:23:08 PM Quote from: dare2dream on July 28, 2008, 04:11:49 PM Love the pix! It all began with some mother/daughter togetherness. My little 7 yo darling and I set off from our home in the Central New York countryside to the “big city” of Rochester on Sat. about 2:30pm. We jammed to Jason in the car (of course) and shared a milkshake and some fries as we talked about the fun we were going to have. Upon our arrival, we checked into the Hyatt Regency * (I’ll tell ya why this is ironic later) and hung out in the room for a few minutes- child watching Hannah Montana, Mom on DDB; naturally! We decided to go for a walk downtown, presumably to see the sights, but we both knew our real destination was the Blue Cross Arena… some intense “scoping out” was in order. I was concerned about the lack of space where buses would be able to pull up and accommodate us dreadheads in desperate need of some face time After our walk, we dined in the hotel restaurant and talked some more about what tomorrow would bring. Then it was time for a serious sign making party, more Hannah Montana and DDB, and dessert ala room service. Is this a dream girl’s getaway or what??? In the morning, we ate breakfast from room service *(more irony here) and got ready to meet daydreamingurl84 (ddg84). Although we just met and are more years apart in age than I’d like to admit, we clicked immediately, and I knew we were in for a really great day. The three of us walked to the parking lot across from the venue on a tip from a ddb’er, and soon saw those buses with the red, yellow, and green tags on the front. Ddg84 and I gripped each other’s arms in “OMG” excitement, and soon saw Mrs.S and her friend with a fabulous banner dedicated to our dear JC. We soon met amasette, and our little group proceeded to wait in the sun. I can’t tell you how awesome everyone was- Mrs. S was so stinkin sweet to my daughter and I, and her friend was a total trouper. Amasette was so excited to complete her and her daughter’s Jason story- a real inspiration. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: HannaB2 on July 28, 2008, 05:38:00 PM I'm loving all these stories and photos. I'm a detail person because it makes me feel like I'm in the moment with all of you, so keep them coming and don't worry about writing too much! Thanks for the heads-up, Snow...I'm anxiously waiting to see what happens to your awesome Jason gift! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: daydreamingurl84 on July 28, 2008, 05:41:20 PM Alrighty heres my story..... We talked and they said when he came over they would let all of us up front!! yayyy! ;D So first MJ came out and he was super cool! and even sang to our "lil dreadhead" lol then it was chekeze ( idk how to spell it right) then came Kristy who had to go back for some reason then David A, we were happy to see all of them and Chekeze is VERRRY nice! awesome personality!! He like bear huged me and then took a great pic with me!! anywho... THENNN IT WAS TIME FOR JASONNNN! ;D we all got super excited... like a lil kiddy... it was nuts! he started on the side away from us so we all ran over there and i for snap happy and took like 30 pics... then i saw tenny and her daughter getting a pic and was like hmmm mabe i can get in there! so i got right in and asked for him to sign my spirt towel (which Mrs.S gave me!!! THENNNNN it was time for JASONNNN!!! i called Kali for the live feed and hoped all would go well!!!! he was amaxinngg and i got awesome pic veryyyyyyy close like 2 yards from his feet!! lol i was dying inside!!! after everyone rocked the house we went to so see if we could get to the aftershow but no luck :-\ so we went outside to what was a MOB!!!! and noone came out for like an hour!! finally KLC the MJ the Chekeze... Ill add pics later when i can get them all up on my photobucket!!! and yess i got pics of the PANTZZZ!!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: tennyson613 on July 28, 2008, 05:46:25 PM Part Two The security guards eventually send us inside, telling us the idols will be coming out there- we all were unsure whether to believe them (notorious fibbers!), but we went anyway. You could see that it wasn’t a ruse when we got to the lobby- a large horseshoe had been roped off. We waited for about 30 min, when the crowd began to squeal- MJ was coming out. I got a pic of myself and my daughter with him for my mom- she loves his guts! He was really sweet, and sang a song to my daughter with her name in it! ;D Now- I have to talk about what fabulous people we met- Jason, Archie, Carly, Cook fans alike. They were great and so accommodating- if they were in front and had their time with the idols, they grabbed us and pushed us to the front (<3 ya Anthony & sis, Luke, Hanna!) * It is here that I find out from another fan that not only did the idols stay at the same hotel as I did Saturday night, but that if I had gone DOWNSTAIRS for breakfast, I had a chance of a Jason sighting :-\ So- I’m going to skip to the good stuff…Each time a new idol came out, I squealed (just a little, right Mrs. S.?) and frantically tried to see who it was. This huge, intimidating-looking security guard looked at me and said- “Who are you looking for” and I told him Jason. After about the 4th crowd flip out he looked at me and said “It’s Jason!” All of us dreadheads went over with Mrs. S.’s banner to show him our support and he looked right at Mrs. S and said “Nice banner. I like it.” We almost peed! Then my security guard friend tapped me on the shoulder and said, “come here.” He literally shoved some people aside and escorted my little one and I to the front of the barrier! When Jason got to us I THINK I said “Hi- we love you. See my daughter’s shirt? She’s a little dreadhead!” What may have come out is “ um…….hi……….see?” All I know is that he said “that’s really cool- dreadheads? I like it!” Uhhhhhh drooling! We got a picture with him- can’t for the life of me remember who took it, maybe ddg84? My daughter said “Mom- his present!” and I told Jason “we have a gift for you. We’ll give it to you at the other side (we left it there in our excitement).” He said “Oooh, a gift? All right!” We walked back over to where our stuff was, and got some pics with Chikezie (I LOVE him now- he was so sweet!), Archie (sweet), and Syesha (she was NOT genuine- she turned me off completely) When Jason came around to us again, my daughter was escorted to the front again, this time by the darling people around us- to give Jason his gift. He looked in and said “what do we have here?” I said “strawberry jam- your mom told me you would like some- we made it together (pointing to my daughter).” He was so cute- he got that cute crooked “oooh” face, then looked shocked- “wait- you MADE this???” I said “yep!- there are also some gag gifts in there for you to get back MJ and David Cook!” He said “Good, I got some people I’m needing to get back at!” Then ddg84 and I asked if he would do a big pic with all the dreads and the banner, and as you can see above this post, he was totally into it! Here's the pic of my daughter and I with him- soon to be my new avi #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 28, 2008, 05:51:50 PM Awwwwww! They'll soon find out won't they...and they will at last be converted!! HA! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: tennyson613 on July 28, 2008, 06:22:41 PM The Final Installment... After all of our personal Jason experience- I didn't think it could get any better.... Then it did! After a great lunch with wonderful people at the Dinosaur, we went into the venue as soon as we could to see if Jason had left us backstage passes for after the concert. (ddg84 had asked him for some, and he told us to put our names on a list and he would try) They weren't there but I didn't get too disappointed, cause we had already had so many wonderful things happen. My daughter and I went to our "nosebleed" seats, when I got a text from ddg84. I called her back, and she told me to follow her directions down toward the stage. At this point, I thought she just wanted me to give her the glowsticks I had, but when we got down there I saw she was sitting right NEXT TO the stage with some people we had met and had lunch with (yay Hanna and Luke!). The entire rest of the row was empty, so we sat!!!!!!!!!! It was a wonderful performance, and Jason was just unbelievable. My daughter and I left as soon as we could after, and still didn't get home until 12:30, but I was flying high! Oh- here's what I saw from those fabulous seats.... a little gift from me to my darling Dreadheads. Everyone I have met has been amazing, and I truly hope to meet more of you in the future!!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: daydreamingurl84 on July 28, 2008, 06:29:26 PM AHHHH TENNNY AMAZINGGGGG!! Rochester NY tour thread from DDB part three: ===========================
#####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Hallelujah4Jason on July 28, 2008, 07:00:15 PM Soooo THis concert hands down was one of the best times of my life me and my two friends got there at 1:30 and there was only like 20 people standing around tour buses because the security gaurds sent everyone to the lobby. So when Jason came out I was the only one to say hi to him and he waved right back at me and I acted completely normal! Then we went to the lobby and met Michael first and he is freaking hilarious my friend asked him for a picture and he said "how dare you" and let me tell you he is very hot in person. AND THEN JASON CAME OUT. Us dreadheads got together and did a Jason chant and went over to him. I asked him to sign my batman wallet and he told me how much he loved batman and I told him how much I loved Batman too. We then took a picture together which i then sent to every single person I knew. AND once again I acted completly normal. I then talked to David Archuleta a little and me and my friends told him to look out for us cause we each had 42 glo sticks...Did any of you see us we danced the WHOLE concert...and he laughed a lot. Then we talked to syesha a little and then brooke, and then we talked to Ramiele for a really long time and she kept apologizing for sounding like a man!!! And all in all the meet and greet was freaking amazing Then to the concert during Jasons part i never danced and screamed so hard in my life, i wanted to be the best fan in the world. And at one point someone said I love you Jason really loud and I was immediatly filled with Jealousy so I screamed I love you Jason more! And all the idols totally saw our glo sticks After there was way to many people outside to talk to the idols and I was pretty upset cause I pictured me and Jason talking about mission work since I was going to tell him how I'm going to serve the homeless next week in the inner city of Chicago...but it didnt happen And today me and my friends sat around acting all depressed because the concert was over. To all the Dreadheads I met I had so much fun with you all!!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: rosequeen49 on July 28, 2008, 07:24:39 PM Quote from: calgal on July 28, 2008, 03:41:54 PM Quote from: Amasette on July 28, 2008, 08:53:40 AM Despite the fact that I am not the least bit pushy by nature, and wasn’t very close to the front line, I had two invaluable assets going for me…I was wearing my official Jason Castro shirt in a crowd with relatively few of them, and I had my whole heart’s desire right there, within reach of my arm. With one stroke, I elbowed two screaming Archie fans to the ground while 'clotheslining' an unsuspecting Cook fan to the side, stepped on a puppy to gain a height advantage, and used a row of three 9-yr-old generic Idol groupies as a launching pad to land in the front row." and she ain't lyin! let me tell you! *lol* #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: fognurse on July 28, 2008, 07:35:58 PM Quote from: elel on July 28, 2008, 05:07:40 PM thanks everyone for sharing, i enjoy reading them! mrs.S great pictures, my fave it this! yay dreadheads! I saw a whole bunch of the blue shirts! ;D ;D ;D Did any one of you have little slits on the sides of your blue shirt? And did you go back to the parking lot after meeting Jason, and before going in for the concert? If so, I saw you. I was in the car right in front of you. A blue Outback. If not, then okay. ;D I'm trying to get the concert bit of the explosion written up. I got a bit distracted, 'cause we watched this past Friday's episode of Stargate Atlantis. One of the characters (his name is Jason Momoa) has dreads, and the episode focused on him. After seeing Jason last night, I like this guy even more. ;D ;D ;D If you don't know who he is, do yourself a favor, and google pictures of him. LOL! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 28, 2008, 08:39:29 PM Okay, here's more of it. I hope you guys are enjoying. The best parts will be coming tomorrow. So if you haven't been reading up to now, you might want to start tomorrow. So, onto the concert. I have to say, usually when we do concerts, I am so excited as we’re sitting there waiting for it to start, that I begin to shake. But, my excitement level was far lower than usual. First of all, I didn’t get to meet Jason, and my chances of meeting him afterward were MINIMAL. And also, I felt terrible. LOL! I was in so much pain for the whole weekend, and on top of that, suffering from really bad panic attacks, and both continued on right through the concert. Being on my feet beforehand, waiting for the Idols took my mind off the pain, and got me excited. But just SITTING, and just…sitting, it was easy to get stressed out. So, again, I say, my excitement levels were dwindling a little. LOL! To put it mildly, I was a bit grumpy. LOL! The venue was PACKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My mom said she thought she heard Carly say, before the concert, that Rochester was sold out. There WERE some empty seats way in the back on the venue, but other than that, it looked really full!!!!! Before the concert, the mildly strange host got out in the middle of the audience, and started pimping the poptart mascots, and he had this dude with him who was shooting t-shirts into the audience with this crazy looking gun thing. When I finally saw it, it was rather alarming looking. I thought someone was going to lose an eye or something! LOL! The concert finally started though, and the crowd went absolutely BERZERK!!!!!!!!!! It was really awesome!!!! And then they had that Idol bit at the beginning, with the AI theme, and you have that, and the screaming, and DUDE!!!! It was just electric! I was surprised by how good Chikeze was. At least for the faster songs anyway. He hit some pretty sour notes on his slow song, but overall, I think he was pretty darn good! While he sang pretty good, I have to say his set seemed to take FOREVER!!!!!! It seemed to drag. But it was cool. And our seats REALLY were awesome. Whenever the Idols would walk on the side catwalk, over to our section, they faced us, and were pretty much eye level with us, and we were only a few seats from that end, so when they came on our side of the catwalk, we were REALLY close!!!! Which came in handy for the guys. Ramiele was cute, and she wasn’t bad at all. She wasn’t the strongest, but she wasn’t bad. The audience didn’t seem quite so excited for her, and she was trying to get them going, but it wasn’t working too well. She looked depressed. I mean, the audience wasn’t bad with her, they just weren’t quite as enthusiastic as they could have been. Next was Michael, who is my third favorite from this season. Ooooohhhhhhh! HE’S GOOD!!!!!!!!!! LOL! He nice. He looked good. He had on this amazing outfit, with this really cool scarf, and he just looked good! And he sounded good! And he looked good! LOL! Man, he was good. And he came onto our side of the catwalk, which was really nice. Hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe! YEAH! I loved his set. The songs he did were just GREAT! And he got a big reaction from the crowd too. It was great! Definitely a highlight for me!!!!! Now, I really liked all three of the girls who came out after, and they did really, really good. However, I’m not about to go through all three of them. LOL! (Skip a bit, brother.) I had to use the bathroom so badly from all the water I’d been ingesting that day, and I didn’t want to risk missing any of Jason’s part by waiting for the intermission, so I skipped on the medley to go. I got to HEAR it, just didn’t see it. But, it was worth it, because there wasn’t a single person in the bathroom, and I didn’t have to wait in line for one second. Got back out to my seat just as intermission was starting. Oh! And I forgot!!!! I got a couple of comments on my Jason sign, and one of my buttons! While we were waiting in line, a LOT of people were staring at my shirt, and my buttons, and I was like: “Stare away people, go ahead and just STARE at my chest, ‘cause right now, it’s good Jason publicity!” LOL! One couple looked at my buttons, and the wife said: “Eventy billion times, huh?” And I started nodding my head emphatically, and said: “YES!!!” And they were like: “You must have had a really big phone bill!” And I smiled, and said: “It’s free.” LOL! And then after we’d gotten seated, there was a couple who came into our row, and had to pass us to get their seats. I was holding my signs folded up, and the wife was in front of me, and she said: “Ooh! What do your signs say?” And she opened them ‘cause I couldn’t, and the Jason one was in front, and she read it, and looked at me, and went: “Awwwww!” Her husband sat down right next to my friend, and he asked her who she thought was the best, and the wife said: “She thinks Jason is the best!” Referring to me. It was cute, and I felt like a proud Dreadhead!!!! ;D Anyway, the intermission is a blur. I couldn’t wait for it to be over so I could FINALLY SEE THE MAN I’D BEEN WAITING TO SEE FOR MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS AND WHO I HADN’T EVEN BEEN ABLE TO MEET YET!!!!!!!!!!!!! *Heh-um* Anyways. The Guitar Hero stuff was interesting. The commercial was great, only problem was that we were so close to the jumbo-tron, it was really hard to look at, and we couldn’t see what was on the screen very well. But it was still cool, and when Jason was drumming in the commercial, I heard a few screams, which was awesome!!!!! Hehehehehehehehehehehehehe! Finally, the host dude got through with the Guitar Hero stuff, and finally told us that the show was about to start back up!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Dreadhead#2126 on July 28, 2008, 08:59:25 PM Quote from: fognurse on July 28, 2008, 07:35:58 PM Quote from: elel on July 28, 2008, 05:07:40 PM thanks everyone for sharing, i enjoy reading them! mrs.S great pictures, my fave it this! yay dreadheads! Yeah, that pretty much captured it. I had my iPod player set for blasting "ONE LOVE" but was nixed by a big bad security guard in serious mode. (SHOW ME YOUR BADGE, BAD BOY!) LOL That would have made the encounter complete and I know Jason would have really enjoyed it. It was great that he spotted us DH's as soon as he looked up and saw the banner waiving high and a group of blue T's approaching. "Nice sign!" said he. "Thank you", it's for you! (I think I peed a little). If I remember correctly, one of the girls mentioned Sooner's name to get the group pic, and when Jason moved down the line to the spot Pat was holding, the "nice" guard from that area was a doll and helped clear a space for us. Rochester NY tour thread from DDB part four: ===========================#####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Amasette on July 29, 2008, 11:22:55 AM Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere or not, but for those of us with our heads still in the clouds over our Jason Day in Rochester, this might be of interest... I'm sure you've probably seen the video of the interview done with Jason (amazing, as always), but check out the very end of Ramiele's. It makes me so happy to see him in such a playful mood! This must have been done before one of the signing times--either the one before the concert, or the one after (Ramiele comments that Archie must have just come out to greet his fans after a huge group scream is heard, but he came out first both times...) You can also hear Jason laughing a lot in the background of this while he's giving one of his own interviews. Oh, my gosh! I have it running while I'm writing, and in the middle of it, the interviewer asks her who has the most groupies...and she answers, 'Castro'!!! Yeah!!!!!!!! Gee...I wish I could hear the interview he's giving during this one... I'm assuming this woman interviewing Ramiele is the same person who did the videod interview with him--same questions, anyway--so he must be doing a different one during this.... www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PIqrmZsbvs#####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 29, 2008, 12:17:28 PM Amasette, that's really really awesome!!!!!! Thanks for sharing! And all this bra talk is HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! ;D ;D ;D Okay, here's a little more of my experience. So, the lights dim, the crowd’s screaming, I’ve made sure to activate all my glow things (my star, my pen, my fiber optic cool thing), and put them all on blue. I got my sign ready (it was glow in the dark, and my mom and I had been charging it up with a black light during intermission), and I had my towel. And then, coming onstage from our side was this person. For the first couple of seconds it was difficult to tell if it was him, or some dude going out to get his stuff ready. But then it became apparent that it was him because of the way he walked (it was dark, couldn’t see much else, LOL), and so I started screaming like a banshee, and holding out my sign. He sat down on the stool, got himself positioned with the uke, the lights came up on the stage, and everyone started screaming louder. I was actually fairly amazed when he started singing. I thought he sounded good on TV and CD, but live? Oh my goodness….he sounds so gorgeous! The tone of his voice is sooooooooooooo rich and textured, and it has this amazingly beautiful quality to it that seems to come through only live. He sounded so good, and hit every note perfectly. When he did the falsetto, quite a few people screamed for him, including me. It was a great performance, and it really seemed like he had the audience wrapped around his little finger. I stood up when he finished the song and held up my sign, I was like the only person in my section who stood up (boring section, but at least no one told me to sit down). He introduced Crazy in this really cute way. He was like: “This next song I’m doing is Crazy…yeah….it’s called Crazy.” Something along those lines, it was really funny. And it was SO cute! He said “Hello Rochester”, and then he said: “It took me a while to figure out how to pronounce that, but I finally got it.” LOL! Yesterday my mom and I were musing that maybe he was confused, because Worcester Mass is pronounced Wooster. So maybe he thought Rochester was pronounced Rooster. LOL! It was a really funny comment that left me giggling because it was just such a Jason thing to say. Okay, side note here, the Weather Channel’s on, and they just went to a video of some dude who got struck by lightning, and his name is Rene Castro. LOL! Back to story here! He did an awesome job on Crazy. Again, pitch perfect. And I really couldn’t believe I was there seeing Jason perform Crazy live. It was great. Of course, I held my sign up real high, and made it dance. LOL! Watching him play the guitar was almost electrifying. It was just cool! “Now he’s a superstar, slammin’ on his guitar!!!!!!” Once he finished Crazy, I think he said something like: “I can’t see you guys too good from back here,” ‘cause he was on the main part of the stage. So he walked out onto the catwalk, and got set up. Then he said: “I wish I could I meet everyone here, but it’s just not possible. So instead, I’ll sing you a song.” And he went into Daydream. Again, it was great. Better than it was the first time he did it on the show. His voice has really matured since he started out. All this practice has done wonders for his voice. He sounds so good now it’s CRAZY!!!!! LOL! Basically the only thing he said after he finished Daydream was “thank you”, and ”I hope you enjoy the rest of the show.” It was cute how little he said overall. I gave him standing o’s after all 3 of his songs, even though no one else was standing, and I made sure to hold my sign up high. He didn’t see it during his set, but that was okay. I was thrilled as it was. Syesha was next. (Once again, I say, skip a bit brother.) And then Archie. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 29, 2008, 01:00:09 PM Okay, here's some more of the experience. I know you guys aren't used to these things, they're pretty crazy long. LOL! I was gonna make a separate thread for it so that it wouldn't take up so much room in here, but for the sake of being organizational, I put it up in here. So, anyway, here's more! Only one more part left to go! ;D ;D ;D Now like I said before, David Archuleta is my second favorite. Actually, before I saw Jason do Daydream that first night, I was slated to go all out for David. He was my original pick at the very beginning. And then Jason came along, and there went that. LOL! Still love David though. And he performed beautifully. I loved his songs, and his voice was just amazing. He was stunning on Angels, and I LOVED the fact that he did Apologize. When he did that duet on the finale, it was so awesome. Love that song, and it was so hilarious that during the duet, David was outdoing the dude who originally did it. LOL! And I thought it was thoroughly appropriate that he did it on tour. Just loved it. And I loved Stand By Me too. It surprised me, he actually has a lot of stage presence for such a little thing, and he was doing these really cute dances too. I just love his voice. It’s really amazing. So, finally, came the song I’d been waiting for. When You Say You Love Me. He said it was one of those “mushy” songs he loves to sing so much. LOL! My sign was thoroughly charged up (that’s what we were doing all through Syesha’s bit), and so I started to hold it up as he introduced it. He did a really good job on it. It wasn’t Josh Groban’s version, but then again, NO one can do Josh like Josh. LOL! But he did really really good on it. When the song was over, I stood up with my sign, and held it up. And he came over to our side of the stage, and was talking and while he was there, he looked up at where we were, and he saw my sign!!!!!!!!!!! He looked at for a few seconds, long enough to decipher it, and he looked pleased, and then looked away. It was really cool! My brother said that he FOR SURE saw the sign, so the fact that he said David saw it made me feel good that I wasn’t hallucinating. LOL! It was cool! I also got a wave from him when he came onto our side catwalk. I waved at him, and he waved back at me, which was neat! Cook was really good. He had a lot of audience interaction, and said some really funny stuff. The crowd went totally wild, of course. He was out there for forever, just chilling and having fun. It was pretty cool. He filmed us all with his camera, which was really neat. He was very good. And then there was the medley, which was pretty darn good. I was glad to see Jason again, though both times he went onto the side catwalk, he went on the other side from where we were, and I was like: “NO!!!! Come over HERE!” LOL! At one point though, he was on the side of the stage closest to us, and he looked up at where we were, and I had my sign up, and he saw it!!!!!!!!!! I was behind the sign for a second, and when I got my head out from behind it, I saw that he’d seen it. But my family said that he actually waved!!!!! EEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!! VERY cool! That really excited me that he actually saw the sign, and not only saw it, but WAVED!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! So then the concert was over. I had decided (obviously) not to go out to the buses early. And if I had, I wouldn’t have gotten the Jason wave. But I tell ya, I was depressed. LOL! Yes, the concert was fun, and seeing Jason was awesome, but I was depressed. I’d been waiting for MONTHS AND MONTHS AND MONTHS to get to meet him, and I’d been collecting gifts, and everything else. And it was one of those things where if we’d gotten to the venue just a little bit earlier, things might have worked out before the show. Now my last option was to go to the buses NOW, and I knew that the chances of getting to the front, or near the front were practically non-existent. But, after having used the bathroom, and all of that, we made our way to where the buses were. And I had absolutely no hope at all of being able to do ANYTHING, and having no opportunity to meet Jason. I just knew it wasn’t gonna happen. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: tennyson613 on July 29, 2008, 04:40:55 PM elyse- you are killing me! ;D can't wait to hear what he said that led you to believe i'd already given him my gift.................. 8) #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Amasette on July 29, 2008, 06:05:36 PM I'm loving your story, snow! Here's the pic of my daughter and I with him- soon to be my new avi What do you mean "almost"?!? It was bad enough my twins went south!!! Bwahahaaaaaaaaaaa Hurry up with those pix! I need a fix! YEAH! LOL! That would be me again, with my friend Gail from Buffalo! The rest is a bit of a blur to me… Sometimes you just have to go for it if you want to be an effective stalker, groupie, fangirl, mm, I mean dreadhead. See this lady on the right in our picture, we don't know her. My daughter wanted a picture with MJ and we were all set up to take it when this lady just jumped in there and got her own picture. I mean the lady hadn't been around anywhere near us - she just came running up and pushed her way through. You can see MJ looking at me taking the pic and my daughter looking out of the corner of her eye at the lady's camera man. It was so funny! I would never do that - (for MJ anyway) - For Jasonnn??? YOU BET!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: tennyson613 on July 30, 2008, 05:36:05 AM All right, not sure if this will work, but here's the link for my Jason slideshow.... s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn8/tennyson613/?action=view¤t=c358df3d.pbw (http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn8/tennyson613/?action=view¤t=c358df3d.pbw) Enjoy! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: mauz13 on July 30, 2008, 05:57:41 AM Quote from: tennyson613 on July 30, 2008, 05:36:05 AM All right, not sure if this will work, but here's the link for my Jason slideshow.... s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn8/tennyson613/?action=view¤t=c358df3d.pbw (http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn8/tennyson613/?action=view¤t=c358df3d.pbw) Enjoy! My shoulders slumped when I saw how cram packed the crowd was, as usual. I start poking around, stalking possible spots in the crowd where there might be enough room to breeze through…nothing…..If only I was skinnier! LOL! (That probably wouldn’t be good though.) And then, just when I’m about to give up, and go home all depressed and dejected and grumpy and feeling sorry for myself, and being mad at myself for not having been able to have gotten to venue just FIFTEEN MINUTES EARLIER, I notice that there are tons of people out on the street…….Now, 2 years ago when we were at the AI concert in Rochester, they didn’t allow anyone on the street. In fact, they put horses on the street next to the sidewalk to prevent people from going into it. (It was very stinky.) But as I looked more closely, I realized that they had the entire road blocked off from traffic, and the barrier had been extended, and went alllllll the way around the buses to the other side (we’ll call this a C shaped line). So I make my way onto the street, and am astonished that the crowd is only about 4-6 people deep. My mom and friend were with me, so I tell them to stay in one spot, while I go ahead and scout for another spot that might not be so full. I go, and find a spot not too far onto the street, where I would be about the 4th person back from the barrier. I quickly run back to my mom and friend, and get them and come back to the spot. I turn to my mom, and I say: “I HAVE TO STAY! I NEED TO GET THIS STUPID GIFT BAG TO JASON OR I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR ALL OF US TO GO TO WILKES-BARRE TO GIVE IT TO HIM AND I DON’T WANT TO WAIT!!!!!!!!” She was convinced. LOL! So we stayed. My dad and brother found us not long after, and were there for just a few minutes before, you know what happened? It started to drizzle. I was like: “DUDE! You’ve got to be kidding me.” I didn’t move though. At this point, I think it was safe to say that I was obsessed. LOL! I had my Dreadhead towel with me, so I put it over the programs. My mom and dad wanted to go wait in the car, so they took all the stuff we wouldn’t be needing, and my brother was going to get an umbrella, and come back so that he could take pictures, and get some more autographs from the girls. By this point, I was a little embarrassed about the gift bag. It had gotten beat up a little bit during the concert, and before the concert. The edges were a little torn, and it had seen better days. So I planned on apologizing to him for it if he came out. We heard some cheers from the main sides of the line on the sidewalk (the ENDS of the C), because they could see between the buses and the building, and we couldn’t. So we knew that people were probably coming out and going on the buses, and stuff. I FINALLY STARTED TO GET EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: fognurse on July 30, 2008, 10:20:11 AM Quote from: tennyson613 on July 30, 2008, 05:36:05 AM All right, not sure if this will work, but here's the link for my Jason slideshow.... s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn8/tennyson613/?action=view¤t=c358df3d.pbw (http://s300.photobucket.com/albums/nn8/tennyson613/?action=view¤t=c358df3d.pbw) Enjoy! I can't get over that one of Jason looking right at you during Daydream!!! Amazing! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 30, 2008, 11:55:23 AM Okay, here's another part. Only one more bit after this. And then y'all can either kiss me or kill me for writing such a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong experience, and for keeping you in suspence for so looooooooooooooooong. ;D ;D ;D I'll get my pics together and uploaded afterwards. So, my brother gets back to us, umbrella in hand, camera around his neck, and by this time, my other friend (the one who’d shown me Jason beforehand) and her husband had come out and met us in line, and so we all hung out. It threatened a downpour several times, and if I hadn’t had full control of myself, I probably would have started screaming at the weather, and giving it a piece of my mind. But it didn’t matter! We had an umbrella! And if it rained real heavily, maybe the crowd would thin. I was STAYING!!!!! Wild horses couldn’t have dragged me away from that spot. I’d left the concert thinking that I wasn’t going to get to do ANYTHING with Jason at all, not give him my gift, not get an autograph, not say hello, not get a hug, not ANYTHING! And NOW, I had just a little bit of hope that maybe I’d at least be able to give him my gift, and get my picture signed. (It was a printed out 5x7 version of the picture that was on my shirt.) MAYBE it was gonna happen. It actually wasn’t too long before the crowd at the end started screaming pretty loud, and Kristy came over. My brother was happy. Hers was the only autograph I hadn’t managed to get for him before the show, of the ones he wanted. So the two of us got our programs ready, and waited for her to come over, and when she finally did get to us, we got our programs signed by her. She was very sweet and nice. Just when she’d passed by where we were in the line, we heard another round of LOUD cheering, and who appeared but Michael Johns!!!!!! That was exciting. Okay, it was REALLY EXCITING!!!! It wasn’t Jason, but DUDE!!!! I might be able to meet Michael Johns! He rocks! He’s so awesome! *Bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy* It’s amazing how quickly one’s mood can change. LOL! Seriously, once the concert ended, my brother was like: “Where’s that after-concert buzz of yours? It can’t be that bad, can it?” He’d been very nice though. Before the concert had started, after he heard that I had been unable to get Jason my gift, he pegged one of the security guards who was on the floor, and told them about my gift, and asked if there would be any way of getting it to him. It didn’t pan out, but I thought it was sweet that he’d asked. So anyway, back to MJ. I will say that watching him make his way to us was like watching paint dry. LOL! He went very slowly, and really took his time with the fans and tried to get as many people as possible, which was REALLY nice. But like I said, it was definitely a slooooooooooow process, and being anxious for him to get to you, while he’s so far away….it was agonizing. But exciting! LOL! Michael hadn’t even gotten to where we were yet when Brooke came out, and started where Michael had. Now, this is when the party started. Michael and Brooke were out, then not long at all after Brooke came out, Ramiele came out. Then, Chikeze and Carly came out, and Syesha, and then it was David A. (may not be in perfect order, it’s difficult to recall the EXACT order). So the first to get to us, was MJ, and I opened up my program to his page, and I asked the two nice ladies in front of me if they would pass up my program to him. They did, and I got his autograph, which was awesome. I also told him he rocked. LOL! All 4 of us who were together got autographs from him by passing our stuff up through the crowd. I skipped Ramiele, Carly and Syesha. But I got to reach over the crowd in front of me, and personally hand Chikeze my program, and he signed it, and then looked at me to give it back. I said thank you very sincerely, and he said you’re welcome. He looked tired, but one thing that really struck me about him was his eyes. He has one of the softest, kindest pairs of eyes I’ve ever seen. It really surprised me. He seemed very warm too. So that was really cool. When Brooke got to us, I opened my program to her page (she’d signed the front of it before the concert), and again, managed to personally hand it to her for her to sign. It was cool, ‘cause she recognized me from before the concert, and she asked how I was. I didn’t realize she’d asked me that though until it was too late (brain fart, too many men, LOL). She signed the inside of my brother’s program too, and he said thank you twice. I told her she rocked. LOL! (It was the only thing I could think of.) She seemed strangely surprised by the statement, and didn’t know how to respond. But it was cool. Brooke is DEFINITELY my favorite girl. She’s basically the female version of Jason, which is really weird. Now, at some point through all this exciting madness (I ALMOST think it was soon after Kristy and Michael came out), there were more screams, and through the grapevine, the cluster of people where we were heard that JASONNN had come out, and had started signing stuff WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY at the other end, the opposite end of the C from where we were. When I heard this, I screamed. I mean, really, SCREAMED. Now, there have only been 2 occasions when I’ve screamed out of SHEER OVERWHELMING excitement. The last time was just last summer (one year ago this past Monday, actually) at a Josh Groban concert in Albany, NY. For his tour last year, at each concert, during one of his songs he did an audience walk-through. My family was in the center section on the floor, 10 rows from the stage, and I had the aisle seat. When it became clear to me that he was going to walk right by me as he made his way up to the stage, I screamed. So, that occasion, and this occasion were the ONLY times that an actual SCREAM has come out of my mouth. Now the absolute HILARIOUS part of this, is that I’m 22, only about 4 and a half months away from being 23. I’m an adult (in age anyway). Standing in front of me was a girl who I would guess to be about 13 or 14. When I screamed, she looked at me with the most bemused look on her face. It was a look I would have expected to have gotten from someone in their fifty’s, who would have been amused by childish googling. So I was like: “That’s just great…..I’m getting funny looks from 13-yr-olds because of my behavior, and I’m 22!” Thank you Jason. LOL! I apologized to her very hyperly, and she just laughed at me and said it was okay. In the meantime, after having had the lady in front of my hand Michael my program, I tapped her and asked her if she would be willing to hand Jason my picture when he came out, and also my gift bag, if I couldn’t. She was VERY nice, and said yes. Then I went on a mini rant about the gift bag, and how I HAD TO GIVE IT TO HIM! LOL! So, with the rest of the herd of Idols, David A was out. Now, I thought that Michael Johns had been slow. HAH! David was unimaginably slow. He didn’t move from his first spot for, oh, it must have been a GOOD 15 minutes. Like, so many of the other Idols had passed us before he even got close to where we were. Now, him being my second favorite, I was excited. I made sure to get my program ready long in advance. I also had a headshot that HannaB had also gotten me. I wanted to have him sign that too (I have a cousin). I really have to say, I was glad I wasn’t on the end of the crowd, where it was so thick, where most of the Idols started. When David A came out, that crowd surged forward, and the barrier NEARLY gave way. It brought back memories from 2 years ago, when we HAD been at the front of the barrier, and thought we were gonna die. LOL! David was just coming around the curve, onto the street where all of us were when his dad came out. For a second, I was worried he was gonna try to tell him to leave, or something, and I nearly started growling at him. LOL! But he didn’t. I really didn’t know what to do with him. I didn’t know whether to be excited about seeing him, or to hate his guts. LOL! Were those horror stories about him true? Or were they not true? He seemed okay, and nice enough to the fans and everything. He wasn’t out for long before he went back onto the bus. F I N A L L Y David made it to where we were. Things got very squishy though, and the DIM hope I’d had earlier of MAYBE being able to get to the very front of the line for a hug vanished. But that was okay. I got the inside of my program signed by David, but was unable to get an autograph on the headshot. That was okay though, my cousin never needs to know. LOL! I was ecstatic to have gotten his autograph. I’d gotten 4 out of 5 of my TOP favorites, and my very VERY VERY VERY VERY favorite was on his way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: keahgirl8 on July 30, 2008, 01:05:16 PM Seriously...you're killing me with this story! It was funny, earlier on, when Michael was out, before he’d gotten to us, and I THINK before Jason had come out, SEVERAL people started a “Jason, Jason, Jason” chant, and I joined in. Hehehe! It was cool! I felt like a big bad fan. LOL! Waiting for Jason was so much fun. Of course, everyone else except for Cook had already come out, and had already passed us, which was really cool. I hadn’t expected to be able to meet MJ or David even when I got in the line. It was a totally amazing bonus, and a wonderful surprise. Once we’d gotten everybody, my two friends suggested that we move down the line, closer to where Jason was, so we wouldn’t have to wait as long. But I didn’t really want to move because I was still only about 5 people in from the barrier, and the line got bigger the farther down the street you went. But they went off to scout, while I stayed in my place. A minute later they came back, and said: “He’s just down there a little bit! He’s not far away at all!” And I was like: “REALLY!!!! ?” My eyes got about as big as saucers, and I started shaking and sweating (and, as I found out later……those poor short people whose heads I extended my arms over…..), and freaking out. DUDE! I was gonna get to give Jason my gift!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got it all ready to go, and as he got closer, I gave the lady in front of me who’d I’d talked to earlier, my picture and asked if she’d give it to him, and I decided I would personally hand him the gift bag myself, as I’d been able to reach Chikeze and Brooke. Just to the left of where I was, in front of me, were really short little people (I think they were kids), and I could reach over them. He was coming from the right. My brother kept telling me to get the gift bag up so he could see it, but I was kinda frozen a little bit as I watched him smile, and look beautiful, and come closer and closer to where I was. I don’t think I was breathing at this point. LOL! Before he got to me, he turned his head just right, his dreads flew about in just the perfect way, so that I was able to see the blue bead, and my head got mushier. LOL! I’m pretty sure that my picture got autographed first, because that nice lady was closer to the right, where he was, than me. It was awesome that I got my picture signed. The only problem, is that he signed the BACK OF IT, which was just plain white paper. I’d wanted the front signed so that I could frame it, and all that jazz. But, at the moment I had other concerns. He got to the short people in front of me, and I held my bag out to him, standing on my tippy toes, and reaching as far as I could. My brother was just behind me, and as I had gone mute, he yelled out: “Jason! That’s for you!” And then he quickly added: “From her.” LOL! Jason looked at it, and took it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The very second he took it, I said: “I’m sorry about the condition of the bag!” Just as he was saying: “Is this for me?” (The fact that he’d said that didn’t register until WAY later.) Not having heard what I said (it was a rather complicated way of saying, I have to admit, but it was EXACTLY as I had rehearsed in my head earlier), he said: “WHAT?” And my brother piped up and said: “The bag got a little crumpled during the concert.” He like, TOTALLY didn’t seem to care a bit about that, and he asked again: “Is this for ME?” And I said: “YES!!!! It’s for you!” He looked so sincerely pleased, and he said: “Thank you!” (Looking right at me through this whole exchange which was absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) When I say he looked “sincerely pleased”, I mean, he looked like this was the one and only gift he’d gotten on tour. Now I KNOW that’s not the case. He gets sooooooooooooooooooooo many gifts at EVERY stop, but he was so gracious, and humble, and really made me feel kinda special, and that actually really surprised me. After he’d said thank you, he said: “What’s in it?” And before I could respond, he got this mischievous look on his face, and took out the piece of tissue paper that concealed the gifts, and then he started to peer in excitedly. He looked in for several seconds, and then finally said: “Oooohh! Gag gifts!” The shock pen was the tallest gift in the bag, so it was the easiest and first thing he saw. Now, when he said that, he said it excitedly, and at the same time, between the look on his face, and a certain tone he had to the excitement, it was like: “Wow, two bags of gag gifts in one day.” And then I remembered that Tennyson had said that SHE had a bag of gag gifts she was going to get to him, and it became EXTREMELY clear to me that she’d gotten to give it to him before the concert. So, I just quickly added: “Not just!” Just to make sure he knew that he hadn’t gotten two gift bags in one day that had the exact same stuff in it. LOL! Well, I felt buzzed like crazy. I’d gotten an autograph, I’d gotten to give him my gift, and I’d had a conversation with him, and he LOOKED AT ME as we talked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *THUDD* He was gracious, and sweet, and just amazing. However, he had signed the BACK of my picture. LOL! So, feeling emboldened from my experience, I decided to try to get the front signed. He was moving very quickly though, and I couldn’t get to him before he’d gotten to a part of the crowd that was too deep. And, then out of nowhere, this guy next to me said: “Why do you like him? He sings like a girl?” Now, he was probably in his 50’s, kinda roly-poly, and I could tell he was teasing me. So I just said, looking as though I were on cloud 9: “I think he sounds lovely!” And he said: “But doesn’t he sound like a girl? Isn’t that what Simon said?” And I’m pretty sure I said: “I don’t care what Simon said.” And he kinda laughed. And somehow, my picture came up, and I told him what had happened with it, and he said: “Oh, I’ll get it signed for you!” So he took, and tried to hold it out to him, and he yelled out: “JASON! I’ve got a picture here for you to sign from this girl here.” It was slightly embarrassing, but sweet. Jason was currently extremely busy though, signing other autographs, and talking to fans, and he didn’t catch it. The dude was like: “I’m trying for you here.” And I thanked him. And then someone who looked like they were maybe with him held out her hand, and took it, and it did get passed up to him, but it was BACKWARDS again, which was horrible, because his autograph was already on the back. I tried to convey that the front needed to be facing him, but it didn’t work. He got to the picture, went to sign, saw that his signature was already on it, and he got this funny confused look on his face, nicely said: “I already got that one,” and moved on. I got the picture back, thanked the people for their efforts, and we left the crowd. I left on cloud 9. Not long before, I had lost ALL hope of giving him my gift, and I was prepared to leave with it, and then in just a short time, EVERYTHING had changed. It was PERFECT. Granted, if we’d gotten to the venue earlier, I could have gotten the whole entire package. But, considering the depths of despair I was in by the time the concert ended (okay, maybe a little dramatic), what had actually happened was, for me, an absolute dream. I’d gotten a total of 10 autographs. One from EVERYONE except Syesha, and a second one from Brooke. My program is a MESS of autographs, and I have a very “unique and undeniable” autograph from Jason. I might get one of those glass frames, so that the front AND back can be seen. But yeah, that’s my story. After all the ups and downs of the day, I got to do the most important thing. It may not have been quite as special an experience as most of the other Dreadheads who got to meet him before, but like I said, for me, it was a dream. Yah! Okay then. I’m done. LOL!

Rochester NY tour thread from DDB part five: ===========================#####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: tennyson613 on July 30, 2008, 02:19:50 PM Aaaah snow- it was worth the wait!!!!! He asked me- "What is it?" too, which I thought was really cute- like a little kid that doesn't have the patience to open a present.... I hope that he is "torturing" the Davids and MJ with our gifts as we speak... ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 30, 2008, 03:15:20 PM I'm glad you enjoyed it, Tennyson! Yeah, it was exactly like that...Too impatient to wait to open it. I was so surprised that he opened it, and looked into the bag right then and there. I TOTALLY wasn't expecting him to do that. It was a bonus to get to look at him peer into the bag so excitedly with such an adorable expression on his face!!!!!! Yes, let's hope that's he employing our gifts! ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Amasette on July 30, 2008, 03:57:32 PM Loved your whole story, Snow! SO glad it had such a happy ending! (I'm gonna go through the 'behind the line crowd' pictures I took after my own special time with Jason and see if there's any of him opening the bag. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: HannaB2 on July 30, 2008, 03:59:52 PM wow, Snow...YAY!!! I'm glad you got the gift to him and could see his reaction right before your very eyes!! So all in all it was a VERY successful experience. Thanks for writing all that up! Can't wait to see your pics when you have time to post them! As for a 22 year old screaming....this 50+ year old could only say "Oh my god, Oh my god" after my bus encounter with him. He makes us feel young and exuberant (well, you ARE young and exuberant) and that's part of what is so spectacular about him. Thanks for all the great pics and stories, everyone! Such fun reading them! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 30, 2008, 04:14:25 PM Amasette, THANK YOU! Oh man, that would be so awesome if there was a picture. My brother got a lot of Jason pics, but none of our encounter because he was too busy making sure I would actually be able to follow through on it. LOL! It was a bright blue gift bag with white handles, and white tissue paper. Rebecca, YES! It was a smashing success. And we're THINKING about maybe going to the Wilkes-Barre show, and if so, I'll have a second chance and maybe I'll have a before concert encounter, INCLUDING a hug. ;D ;D ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: BRiTTANYMARiE43 on July 30, 2008, 04:33:35 PM I didn't even go to this concert.. I'm actually in Washington; but I just HAD to read! You guys have the BEST stories! And Snow; could yours have been ANY more intense! I swear I was on the edge of my chair the entire time; felt like I was right there with you! I'm glad he finally got your gift and I guess a signature on the back is better than no signature at all!! =). Also.. tenny; I think it's tenny.. That shirt is absolutely ADORABLE and your daughter is so precious! And whoever was talking about the pink push-up bra and how it "stretched" out in the heat... hahah whatever that was all about --- HILARIOUS!! I literally LOLed ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: keahgirl8 on July 30, 2008, 05:11:52 PM Great story! That's how he looked when he got my gift too! He treats every gift like it's the only one he's ever gotten. He's amazing. *sigh* Okay...ahem...I'm done now...lol #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on July 30, 2008, 07:57:13 PM BrittanyMarie, thanks for the compliment! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! Yeah, he is a total doll! He knows how to make you feel like you're the only person in a crowd of several hundred. It's amazing how terribly gracious he is. BTW, I should be able to get my pics up tomorrow. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: rosequeen49 on July 30, 2008, 09:32:24 PM Quote from: Mrs. S. on July 29, 2008, 08:56:50 AM Quote from: rosequeen49 on July 28, 2008, 07:39:04 PM Quote from: Mrs. S. on July 28, 2008, 03:43:58 PM La Pics, girls! And here they are. It really is amazing that my mom managed to get ANY pics of Jason at all, considering how short a time he was there after we got there. These are all 850 pixels wide, so just right click, view image/picture/whatever it says, to view the full sized version. I'll get the rest up later, when I have time to get them ready. Oh, and by the way, the person with the blonde stubby ponytail, and the butterflies in her hair in a couple of these pics? That's me. ;D And once again, I am ASTOUNDED by how stupefied I still was from Jason when David came out...SO MUCH of what I remembered about that was WRONG. LOL! I wasn't even at the front of the line at that point. My friend, who's obsessed with him was, and I was behind her. I had to hand someone my program to have him sign. Dude.......I was wasted from having seen Jason. ;D Maybe it's a good thing I didn't get a hug...I mean, if just SEEING him had fried my brain that much....... ;D ;D ;D And I'll just go ahead and post the others, if you don't mind. I'd link to the album, but I have a couple pics of my friend in here, and I don't think she'd be thrilled if her face wound up floating around on the internet. ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: lovinjc on July 31, 2008, 11:45:17 AM Quote from: Mrs. S. on July 29, 2008, 09:28:18 AM Quote from: laxmom6 on July 28, 2008, 10:51:25 PM Wow....the stories just keep getting better and better!! and the pictures!! YOU BET!! What lady? I don't see no lady! *looks around* ;D Thanks for the great crop!! I love the title of the picture "byebyelady" - That is sooo funny! My daughter will love it. She doesn't live with us since I didn't give birth to her (the hubster's ex did - LOL), but she will love it!! Thanks - I'm not so good at all that stuff! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: longhorngirl on July 31, 2008, 08:12:36 PM Quote from: rosequeen49 on July 30, 2008, 10:14:44 PM Quote from: BRiTTANYMARiE43 on July 30, 2008, 04:33:35 PM I didn't even go to this concert.. I literally LOLed ;D ahhhhhhhhhhhhh you will LOVE IT! TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE CONCERT" (A Dreadhead's Lament) 'Twas the night before concert, when all through the house, No one had dinner yet (except maybe the mouse). The stockings were flung on a pile by the door, For laundry and housework had become twice the chore! The furball was meowing 'cause she hadn't been fed, While visions of "blue eyes" danced 'round in my head. The hubby was cranky -- he'd had "just quite enough!" But I went right on bustling and kept packing my stuff. I found myself scrambling, for now I must pay, Because posting on forums had eaten my day, My legs were not shaven, my eyebrows weren't tweezed, The waiting raw chicken will just have to be freezed! I had run out of time for that day at the spa, (You think J-Cas will notice my new pink push--up bra?) The ten pounds taken off was pure hell at the gym, And I pray he won't notice my third double chin! And then in a twinkling it popped into my head My iPod needed charging and my cell phone was dead! So what if I blew it and didn't make dinner? The blue jeans I bought really make me look thinner! I then went into "panic" (with the hubby quite p--st). Spirit towel, official T -- where the heck is my list?! I dreampt of my Idol -- when finally I slept, On stage, in his Pantzzz, and the autograph I kept! I shot up in bed! There had arose such a clatter! (Got only three hours, but that now doesn't matter.) Then I sprang to my window, and what did I see? A busload of DREADHEADS, waving madly at me! "I'll be out in a second", I called out to the van, As I grabbed the binoculars and my digital cam. I had finished the laundry and the dishes were done, Today's finally the concert! This chick's gonna have FUN! I ran back for an instant -- my ticket! Bob Marley! Can't forget "One Love" for our first tailgate party!! As far as tomorrow (though it's prob'ly a sin), I'm predicting a fever and may have to CALL IN!! OH BOY, OH BOY, OH BOY, OH BOYYY... by: Mrs. S.Forever 40 DH #1802 Bus 37 I love this, too!! I was also in Sacramento with your daughter - so i totally relived our day- and seeing the whole thing , watching her squeeeeeeeee!!... Thank you everyone. I know that my time with Jason has come and gone for now...but I thought you might like to actually see the 'unusual' objects that he signed before stories of our day with Jason in Rochester give way to the excitement of other stories from other cities... (the picture on the front of the cups) (picture on the back) Sorry my images are so huge! And, a random question... Can you tell what's in the foreground of my new avi?? I took it at the signing, and I love it...but Amasetta says it looks like he's standing behind a big shoulder ... (It's actually one of the DH spirit towels that he's holding up on something flat to sign...) #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: overstrung on August 01, 2008, 09:09:46 PM Amasette, the mugs are gorgeous!!!! I'm HOPING that I'll be able to get the rest of my pictures up today. Unfortunately, MANY of the concert pics came out not so great. But there are a few of Jason that didn't come out TOO BAD, and they have nice views of the pantzzz in them! ;D And then the after-concert pictures are great! You know, I haven't even looked at any of the albums of pics that have been put up in this thread? Nor have I been able to keep up with the pics in the other threads to see if he's wearing my bracelet...GAH! Too busy! What a successful M&G for us all! (That lg. green bag he was carrying in your pics had my poem in it.) Thx for the quote from Syracuse.com review. I'm told that "middle-aged lady" shows up quite clearly on their video, too. Goinng to look for that now... It's amazing how quickly friendships can be formed. I hope I'll get to see you, Tenny and Lil Dreadhead at our first DH Convention. I'll bring the Banner so we can ALL sign it this time, and Jason, too! That boy's almost too good to be true. I was around a campfire last night enjoying "several" pitchers of Cosmo's with Gail and some other friends and reminiscing about all the fun of that day that went by much too quickly. I'm thrilled for you and Tenny for getting those 4th row seats!! Be good and be happy. See you on the forum! I SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET THE REST OF MY PICS UP TODAY! LOL! You wouldn't think it would be so hard to get some pictures posted, would you? GAH! I'm so excited about the after-concert ones. My brother got one either WHILE he was peering into the bag, or just before I'd given it to him. I can't tell, but he'd just signed my picture, and it was on its way back to me. You'll want to at least look at the full sized pics from after the concert. (Right click, view image, or whatever, and it'll show the bigger version.) After the concert: Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ^Like I said before, he'd just signed my picture in that one. You can see it being passed back to me on the right of the pic. This must have been JUST before I gave him my gift bag. It COULD actually be when he was looking inside of it, but I think Jody had stopped taking pictures at that point, to make sure I'd actually give it to him. ;D And I didn't see him holding it in the next picture. But it was probably moments before he got the gift bag. And my picture is in it, so that's cool! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Amasette on August 03, 2008, 11:15:33 AM Quote from: daydreamingurl84 on August 03, 2008, 10:45:39 AM happy one week of meeting JASONNN everyone!!! I know it's a long story. ;D And yah, he was real good to me that night. Not only did he get some fantastic pics after the concert, but he also bought me a few souvenirs. He got me an AI7 Teddy Bear, a Jason headshot, and he bought one of the mugs for my mom and I. I think he was as depressed over the fact that I was depressed when the concert ended as I was...LOL! But, on the other hand, I DID get him THREE outta FOUR autographs from his girls before the show, so he, in a sense, owed me for that. ;D So he got great pics after, and my mom got great pics before. It's funny, Jason was the first one we saw that day, and the last one. Hehehe! I liked our last encounter MUCH better!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D And dude.......those pantzzz are absolutely PERFECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *THUDD* I love his legs, I love his legs, I love his legs! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: HannaB2 on August 03, 2008, 09:53:16 PM Great pictures, Snow! He looked tired in them, but they do have such long days. I'm glad he got your gift!! How exciting for you!! I liked the Chikezie and Rami pics too. During the first half of our concert I was doing the cell feed for Rickey so I couldn't see them because our seats were way in the back, and I didn't dare stand up with my cell phone waving over my head! Thanks for sharing those!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: etihwwons on August 03, 2008, 10:02:45 PM Oh, he was DEAD TIRED. That was definitely obvious. He looked a little tired BEFORE the concert, afterwards he was absolutely exhausted. But VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY sweet!!!!! I just showed my brother all the pics, and he got a kick out of the one where Jason was looking right at the camera (so did I, but for different reasons, LOL). My brother is 6'2", with REALLY LONG ARMS, and he had the camera in his hands, which were extended STRAIGHT up into the air, and he was just shooting pics over the crowd. So to Jason, it must have looked pretty funny. The Floating Camera Of Death. ;D I'll bet the 2 girls he was posing for a picture with looked at that picture they got, and wondered what the heck he was looking at! "It's a UFO!" "No, it was Superman!" ;D ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Mrs. S. on August 04, 2008, 12:46:18 PM Quote from: lovinjc on August 03, 2008, 08:22:23 PM Quote from: Mrs. S. on August 03, 2008, 06:52:45 PM SNOW! Looks great. what did Jason say/do when you gave it to him? Thanks, LovinJC, When I stopped him he had already gone to the end of the line, was tapped by a crewman that it was "time" (so it must have been 3:00). He was starting back, but he stopped for me, saying 'I have to go". I very quickly introduced myself as Mrs. S. from Buffalo and told him I framed this poem that his mom already had a copy of. I took it out of the bubble wrap and he accepted it, was smiling and actually started to read it. I said, "Oh, no, you don't have time -- you can read it later". He then thought I wanted him to sign it. "You don't have to sign it Jason -- I signed it -- it's a gift for you". Then Gail said, "turn around Nat" and he quickly posed for a pic with me. I was very fortunate other DH's took the same shot of us, so I have several pics or partials with me in them. Lastly (I was pushing it) I asked him to sign my T and he very patiently did that, too. Somewhere in there, we had that brief conversation about Niagara Falls. He sounded like he really would like to have gone, but they were heading for Pittsburgh... What a hunk of joy that boy is! Busy, tired, but extraordinarily kind and patient with every single one of the fans, young and old(er). And I got my "moment" to treasure... (It's actually one of the DH spirit towels that he's holding up on something flat to sign...) Those mugs are cool!!! #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: daydreamingurl84 on August 07, 2008, 07:48:47 AM so its been over a weekk and out thred is stilllll going stong WOOP!!! i love and miss u girlsss!!! ;D #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Mrs. S. on August 07, 2008, 08:04:57 AM Quote from: daydreamingurl84 on August 07, 2008, 07:48:47 AM so its been over a weekk and out thred is stilllll going stong WOOP!!! i love and miss u girlsss!!! ;D MEE TOOOOOOOO! Mrs. S. #####################Title: Re: 27 July~~~Blue Cross Arena, Rochester, NY Post by: Riza on August 10, 2008, 09:33:12 PM I wish I can add some magic on my pre and post tour experience report. But there is none I could not leave in time to make it to the pre tour. We got into Rochester late, but only missed the pre tour autograph signing by a half hour. We decided to walk around, visited the Dinosaur but it was too late for lunch and too early for dinner, so we just roamed around. I saw some “blue shirts” seated in the middle, but it seems that they were almost done, so the shy me did not approach the table. My husband and I just roamed the perimeter of the arena marveling at the entourage of semis and other big trucks lining both sides of the streets flanking the arena. I took this opportunity to educate my husband about Jason. (After all, my husband is a Texan). We debated if he will be allowed to carry his big camera and we both agreed that it is worth a try. We were parked so close (at the back parking lot where we can see the idol bus) that he can leave the arena and stow his camera if needed. We went in the arena to an empty room, came back out and stalked the empty bus. Then the State Farm people came by, I tried to borrow their red shirt and badge so I can go in as staff. They decided the closest I can get to their shirt is a few feet away while they take my picture. After I found out what the picture was all about, I begged them to take my pictures more times than they were supposed to. I wanted several views of the Jason towel and Jason Rockwall shirt plastered on the jumbotron during the intermission. Actually, I did not want them to take pictures of other non Jason fans ! The pictures were projected, but it was too tiny for me to recognize from my bird’s nest view. The concert: This is my first Idol concert so I do not have any to compare with. We were at the 200 level, so its way up in the sky. With my poor eyesight, everything is a blur to me from my perch. But I was there only for Jason regardless of the fact that I do like some other idol’s music as well. There have been so many reviews that I cannot add anything at this point. The thing that is so outstanding is the effectiveness of the simpleness of Jason’s set. I wish he had more songs as I could not have enough of his performance. The band was a bit loud in my opinion for the type of performance and songs by other idols. It seems they had to compete with the band to be heard. So when Jason came on, it was pure joy that I can hear his melody and his strings very well. It also helps that he has a mike that is so close to him and was able to capture even the softer sounds of his music. I do not know if Jason has some freedom in choosing his songs or his accompaniment. I have always told my friends that Jason is a smart musician. He knows his music and how he can impact the songs he sings. He does not pick songs because it is popular, but because he feels the song and it has a connection with him. He is so genuine and has no pretense that makes him so endearing. I enjoyed his set so much it was well worth the long trip to be in Rochester that day. BTW...that great camera, was no match to our distance and the low lighting. I made a mistake by asking my husband to take pictures from the jumbotron. It was blurry. I do have some thought about the concert as a whole. I know that the producers avoided group songs as it did not work out in the past. However, I would like to have seen some script rather than a plain line up for a little bit more umph. This is just my opinion. After the concert: Of course, hubby was rushing to the car so we do not get bottled in by traffic. We were driving back that night to Niagara Falls. I certainly lost hope of seeing Jason. I was not acting the fangirly that I should. Then I decided, we have to stay hoping I can get a picture with him. I was also hoping for an autograph. I brought a copy of my favorite picture of Jason for an autograph. So bravely, I told my husband, I want to see them come out for an autograph. He agreed, but there were so many fans already congregated, most of them are teens and I feel bad trying to crowd with them. I also felt some raindrops, so I lost hope. Then Kristy and Chikezie came out. I stayed behind the pack, did not even tippy toed. Then when I was going to give up, Jason showed up. He started at my end. I was so happy and I did not realize I was taking videos instead of pictures. So my videos were ultra short. When I realized I was using video, I punched the off button at the wrong moment. So even though he said “ Hi DDB,” it was not recorded. (so sorry). After he glided onwards, we left. We still had a long drive back through unfamiliar territory. Here are some pictures, they are better seen full screen.
