This is one of my favorite articles about Jason. Here's a sample...

We reach a huge empty room at the end of the hall, where photographers and other reporters are set up by a picture window, lenses angled and ready. There is one chair waiting, like a target. Castro hesitates to sit.

This article just proves what a genuine, grounded person Jason is...I agree with everything he said about fame and celebrity. He really is a "genuine find".

This article hit me so hard. It's way too easy to get lost in the "celebrity" mindset. Jason is such a rare breed and it's SO refreshing.

I've read this before but it's definately worth a second read. I love this quote:

"He was a sort of anti-Idol, playing up nothing, saying he didn’t talk much, smiling instead of crying. Just a guy with a guitar, some cool tunes to let loose. Unaffected by the pressure of the race, he didn’t seem to need to win; being there was enough. And that is what we, the real live regular people who don’t sing on TV shows, liked. A lot."

I think he proves all of this and more when you meet him...and see him. Rare, for sure. The boy is golden.

WoW! I think this is the best Jason article i have ever read.Jason really is the anti-idol, and I mean that in the best possibl way!
I'm going to print this out, so I can show it to people when I play Jason's music for them. I want everyone to know who Jason is, the heart behind the music.

I love that the music is what matters to Jason. I have faith that he will never sellout, and make music that he doesn't like, just to be a bigger mainstream star! He is SO REAL!
