I LOVE this song, and the lyrics are so sweet and romantic . BUT... i have one "lyrical" question: "I DRESS YOU DOWN" My mother always used that to mean just tearing someone apart, telling them everything thats wrong with them, and how badly they are messing up. As in: "my boss really dressed me down today. I'm surprised I didn't get fired". I'm sure jason couldn't mean THAT!?! Has anyone else heard it used that way?

Chocolatechic, i guess it wasn't just one of my mom's unique idioms, then, if you heard it before! She had all kinds of odd expressions that nobody else used!
Anyway, its pretty obvious what jason meant!

Not sure if this is the place to post this, but I really loved the concert in the VIP Lounge!! Guess it was the Garland concert. I can hardly wait for the CD and the single of Love Uncompromised to become available for purchase . Just had to say how impressed I am with the material and the arrangements, as well as the band. I've been out of town for a couple of weeks, so I just opened the email access and watched....thanks to whoever put that together for us !

I've heard that expression before, but I took it a little more literally in this song Hi Jason's people This is my two cents on the dressing up, down & kissing all over town part of LU : "I'll dress you up then I'll dress you down & I'm going to kiss you all over this town" means that you can be dressed to the nines (dressed up) or in jeans (dressed down) and he'll take you out on the town and show you off. (<kiss you all over this town). Do you think I'm makin' sense of it ? (or maybe I should say makin' "cents" of it).

It's "I'll MAKE you up and I'll dress you down" I think it means I'll help you get dressed to go out then later I'll help you undress.

I'm kind of thinking it's like when a kid does something bad but dangerous and you hug them and love them and then you yell at them. I kinda think that interpretation goes along with the rest of the lyrics like the part about I'm gonna teach your love a lesson cuz girl your everything I've been missing. Maybe like you've really missed somebody and when you finally do see them your frustrated and happy. I don't know
