I also have been MIA for health and then computer problems, but when I heard this song on my friends computer, I went home and stole my moms laptop to use until I get mine back! Thanks for the link to the MP3, I will have to get that ASAP.
I LOVE this song and have been playing it as much as possible, THANK YOU JASON!
ok, and on a side note, after watching quite a few times, do any of the Dreadheads who know what "THE dreadhead robe" look like think he may be wearing it? It was that color blue, and its low cut and the sleeves would probably be about that length.... wouldn't that be wonderful!! In my mind he is and that makes me smile just a little more knowing he is keeping all of us close to him while we wait for more!

someone posted these over at tdh. they're from the original date night of sweet medicine! he made a little change when he performed it live at tulsa and garland.
I feel a lil lost, I feel a lil blue Wish I could dim the lights and find my arms around you And burry all this space that keeps two hearts apart for a moment well be dimonds in the dark
(Chorus) Cause you've got it My reason, my only hope believe me love Cause youve got it, I need it I cant stay away Cause ur my sweet, sweet medicine baby Ur sweet, sweet all of the time Ur sweet, sweet medicine save me Save me tonight save me tonight
I pull you close to me, kiss you in the dark First time feelings but we know just where to start We dance beneath the sheets and sing a lovers song You sing so beautiful so beautiful you are
(Chorus)
Blue skies Baby gives me blue skies Baby gives me blue skies How I love my blue skies ohhh
(Chorus)
Save me tonight, save me tonight

Did anyone notice he changed the lyrics to this song in Garland just a little? He replaced "first time feelings but we know just where to start" with "I've been so lost that I don't know where to start" (at least that's what I think he said.) I wonder if it was a mistake or a permanent change. I got so used to the song the original way, but the more I hear the Garland version the more I think it fits the theme of the song.

worldwartori- I know I'm a pest but I really do appreciate this, I have to use my daughter's computer so I don't make it here as often as i would like and don't keep up with things in a very timely manner, I am a die hard fan of Jason's and dreadhead #1910-yea- he is such a blessing to all of us!! So please know how much i appreciate you help! Thanks, and I will check the other thread or site you gave my. Thanks

I just saw that you wrote that already in your previous post! That's what I get for reading too fast... but yes, the original version definitely fits better as far as timing goes. Hmmm... I wonder which version he will choose for his album.

I actually like the Tulsa/Flytrap version the best ... how he "says" instead of "sings" "I pull you close to me". I noticed in Garland that he changed "How I love my blue skies" to "How I miss my blue skies". #IDunno#

interesting that there would be lyric changes. How are we suppose to memorize his lyrics if he keeps changing them. #giggle#

I hadn't listened to this one for a while, but I did today. Such a yearning quality to his voice. I just love it.

This is my favorite song of his besides a song about stars A true artist who has the ablity to make you feel what their feeling is what he does with every song he writes.im falling in luv with all of them As to why he changed the lyrics ?? Only he knows. =)

This is the beauty of live performances, each is always unique in some way or other.

I really liked the version he did of this song at TAMU. Singing it lower made it easier for him to hit the higher notes with a more powerful voice, making it much more effective. Of course, either way it ends up on the album will be great.
