Q/A with the director and co-writer - wonderful things said about Jason. www.independent.com/blogs/film-fest-2009/2009/jan/24/Amar-A-Morir/The co-writer wanted to find someone to sing Hallelujah for the film and searched on youtube -- “And suddenly I see the face of this guy with dreads and I listened to him singing the song and thought ‘oh my god, this is amazing.”

Ah! Someone beat me to it! We should definitely pass this around via Street Team, don't you think?

So glad AI LET Jason do this! I'm sure they were in it for themselfs but a lot of time even when money is involved they'd just a soon throw someone under the bus. Another testiment to the power of prayer IMO.

HOLY THUDD!!! That was amazing. Just absolutely amazing. His voice really truly wrecks me. Mmmm! Loved the audience response too. Absolute silence during the song, and then an explosion of cheering and clapping. It was sweet. Thanks so much for putting that up!!! Man...it just goes right through ya! ;D Were there any big stars there? Snow - I'm definitely not complaining! It's just hard when you make all the plans to go and then at the last minute, RL gets in the way! But I will always have Pantzylvania and Garland, and I'm really, really happy that he seems to have tons of support there! Hopefully we'll get lots of reports (sooon!) from the lucky gals that went! I know, it's really frustrating. All that excitement and then the let down, and like you said, the planning and everything. It's just a good thing that when stuff like that happens, we have some good experiences to think about to prevent ourselves from going totally and completely wonko. ;D

What a beautiful, passionate rendition of the song.
I'm so....moved, proud....there really are no words. He blows me away.

We're on vacation and have been outside in glorious weather all day and then I come in from the beach and watch Jason's performance and read this and it's the icing on the cake that's been our day.

I was there It was great the movie was way too violent for my taste but it was worth it to see Jason perform one of my favorites. He was perfect. Did he come out later did anyone get to actually talk to him. I was with my husband and I kidn't want to subject him to my crazy fan mode. Afterward Jason went across the street to the Wine Cask, with his dad and Michael. We were all invited to tag along. I stayed until 1:30 am. They are all SO nice. My husband didn't go with me, but he called while I was there. When I told him I was there with Jason..he wanted me to see if Jason would talk to him. So I asked and nice as Jason is, he agreed. Now my husband is finally a fan!! ;D

It was so wonderful to go and see jason. We sat right in the front row. Afterwards jason came out and took pictures with us and talked with us for quite some time. Then he told us he was going accross the street and ask if we were all going. And of course we all said AH YAH. So we all hung out accross the street where the movie premeir was all meeting for food and drinks. Jason spent a lot of time with us laughing talking. It was great, he was there the whole time and we were able to go up and talk to him again. He also spoke with my sons on my cell and said hello he was so nice. I'd say we were there paryting until 1:30am and then Trishcoach and I decided it was time to go get some sleep. These memories will be with me always. I met some great new friends, spend quality time with Jason and his father. His father sat with us girls just enjoying the company it was fantasic.
