So Tonight My Mom Decided to take me strolling around Scottsdale to Find Jason.
We ended Up going to his hotel(Not Like I'm a stalker, I don't encourage this to anybody cause it is very rude now that I think about it)
So we were walking the grounds.
Exploring everywhere.
We thought we saw Chikiese in the Bar but weren't sure.
So then we just gave up hope and decided to leave
Well while We were leaving we see two girls sitting on a bench and a guy who's back was toward us talking to them.
and my mom goes "You think those girls are stalking him too? haha"
And then I was like OH MY GOD THATS HIS DAD!
& Thats KRISTY AND CARLY!
and I rolled down the window and started bawling
& I just went off babbling God knows what and I was like
"mr. castro you're an amazing father"
and then I was like do you guys know where Jason is?
& he was rehearsing
and I said oh well just tell him i love him so much
and Carly goes
"Here, tell him yourself"
and she pulled out her phone calling him
I almost died then.
& I just went off on the phone
telling Jace how much he has changed my life
and brought me closer to God
And how much I love him
and he was laughing and was like
wow thank you that's awesome
sooo sweet on the phone.
and then Carly gets on the Phone
and was like Jason You gotta give analise a shout out at the concert(Hope he remembers! hahah)
And then Jackie walks out and she probably though I was cuckoo
Cause I told her how much I love her and how cute she was haha
and then Betsey Came out!
And she probably got more freaked out cause I like reached out of the car and yelled BETSEY!
and told her how much I love her and how well she raised her kids and whatevs
and stupidly through out this whole thing i didn't get pictures!
So you all prob think im lying hahah but im not!
& if i would have quit crying hysterically I would have been able to get some! Dang Im dumb
oh and m cas was in the room haha he wanted kristy to go in cause he had a question
I should have waited to see him haha

well yeah that was my amazing expierence

& I have to say it was everything I had hoped it'd be!
I got to meet Jason's Family AGAIN
& This Time I got to meet M Cas too =)
& Betsey Regonized Me When I was talking to Michael& They remembered my name hahah sweeet.

Hey, here's the thing that I wrote about my tour experience after I got home from it. It's kinda long and a lot about MCas. :

Saturday- I saw the hotel they were staying at and a bus across the street in a parking lot. I took a picture next to it and then went shopping at the mall, hoping to run into Jason or Michael. I probably seemed crazy with all the looking around I was doing there. When I was leaving the area, the bus in the parking lot was gone and another bus was a street down. So, okay, just seeing the buses was super exciting!

Monday night- A few dreadheads got together for a “convention” in the hotel that the idols just happened to be staying at. Kudos to hoorah4croft for bringing awesome brownies! Our room was cool I guess. I found the hammock between two palm trees. We never saw Jason, but at the concert Betsy said that they didn’t get back until 12:00 and we were already back in the room by then. So close!

Tuesday- The dreadheads met up and we saw Betsy really quick to give her the box with gifts including the puzzle piece. I got a really quick picture with her then, but my hair was blowing like crazy. Then I went with my mom to get our Exclusive Access passes we had won so we could use a private bathroom. la de freakin da. We never even used them.
Then we went in and it was almost totally empty! It was so cool to see it fill up. I went over to talk to my cousin and aunt who had managed to get backstage passes. (I’m SO jealous, but trying not to dwell on that.) I quickly wrote a letter for them to give to Jason. Some guy next to me asked me who I was writing a letter to and I think he thought I was nuts. Jason was totally excited when they gave it to him and he put it in his POCKET to read later. That’s just too exciting! I also gave my cousin a Jason picture that she got him to sign and a David A. picture for my little sister.
So then I went back to my seat and I was just kind of sitting around for a couple minutes. I didn’t know where the Castros were sitting, but I just felt like I should walk over this one way and it turned out that they were there! It was so awesome! I got pictures with Rene, Betsy, and Jackie, but Michael was off playing guitar hero or something. I went back to my seat and the stupid Poptart thing was going on. We saw Michael a few minutes later. I literally ran over there with sunshine*girl. First I asked him if I could get a picture and he nodded. He just seemed totally shy and cute. I ran up to him, got a picture, and ran back to my seat because the concert was starting soon.

You can hear enough about the singing from other people. I agree with them.

Intermission came along… I went back over to where the Castros were, but Michael had already left! I wanted to get another picture because the one I’d already gotten was crapola. I talked with Betsy for a bit... She said something about how Jason was always good at puzzles when he was little. And they have a tradition of doing a puzzle as a family for New Years. Or was it Christmas? I’m thinkin’ New Years. Then I saw Michael walking back down the aisle and I was totally excited waiting there with hoorah4croft. I got another picture with him. Then I pulled out my folder that was packed with pictures and stuff and he signed a picture for me. He signed hoorah4croft’s Jason towel, so then I had him sign mine too… My mom asked him if he sang and if Jason’s success had made him want to sing more. He said that it had, but that he wouldn’t want to do American Idol. I went back again to show him the petition for him to post a video blog. I had organized the whole thing and printed it out. Jackie said that she had tried to get him to do one. He was like, “Well what would I do on it? ‘I’m just sitting in my room now…” (or something like that! lol) And I said the creepers would love anything.
Jason was amazing of course. I didn’t take as many pictures and videos of him as I would have wanted to since I was so into watching him. I’m glad everyone else can share their videos and pictures with me!
After the concert, we waited and watched the buses drive away…
So, yeah, it was awesome fun! I don’t really have much else original to say right now. Everyone else can describe for you just how gorgeous Michael was, how sweet the Castros are, and how amazing Jason was! Hopefully this makes sense since I’m writing it at 4 AM. I’m still kind of jittery and not ready to sleep yet. The only thing I ate Tuesday was a sloppy joe at 11:30 AM and then I ate half a chewy bar at 1:30 AM this morning (Wednesday)! I’m just not in the mood for food. I’m too excited!

PS. I just remembered what someone (laxmom6’s daughter’s friend?) told me after the concert. She said that when she was talking to Michael, she asked him if it’d be awkward if she kissed him right then and he said it wouldn’t be the first time! bahaha

And to add to that, my cousin says she also asked and got to touch one of Jason's dreads! She said it was dry in the middle and really soft at the end. She also hugged Archie 3 times. I'm SO jealous and hoping I get to meet him in Utah when I go to the concert on the 15th!

Back stage in the pressroom, I have a chance to talk with several of the contestants before they enter their final preparations.

“This is the good life,” says Jason Castro of the relative leisure of tour rehearsals compared with the murderous regimen during the show. The previous two nights, he tells me, they spent racing go-karts at a nearby track. Two nights prior, Chikezie suggested the idea but went to bed before it could be realized. Jason’s mother, the unstoppable and vivacious Betsy Castro, persuaded a local go-kart raceway to stay open an extra couple of hours for the Idols, and the family went with Carly and Kristy Lee Cook.

The following night, Jason decided they had to go again to share the fun with all 10 finalists. Jason was clearly rejoicing in having the chance to just hang out with the others. “Being on the show was so crazy and chaotic. It ends up feeling like you almost don’t have time to be friends.”

Since the show ended, he says, he had a brief trip home to Texas during which he enjoyed a Jason Castro Day parade and getting the keys to the city, and he has been focused on writing music for his new album.

. . . One of Kristy’s joys of preparing for the tour has been getting to know the boys; in particular she reports becoming much greater friends with Archuleta and Jason.

As much as we wanted Jason to see us holding it for us, we wanted him to HAVE it more, so we figured the best way for him to get it would be to hand it off to the Castros. Rene' was so gracious to take it and pack it into their already "overstuffed taco". Ha ha Whitney can explain that one for you!!! His parents commented on our signs, our shirts, our star glow necklaces and our towels of course. They really appreciated us and told us all to scream loud for Jason! They are just precious!

Wow. Jason was beautiful. OTR was so sweet with Jason's perfect imperfection. "Crazy" almost brought me to my knees, it was FLAWLESS. And Daydream was wonderful. It was everything I was hoping for and more.

I was worried about his part in "Don't stop the music" since it was not his type of song, but he sang it beautifully and he looked like he was having so much fun.

i want to add how much fun it was meeting the DREADHEADS. It was a blessing to finally meet you lovely ladies!!

There was a group of about 15 of us waiting for the gift hand off to Betsy. It was freaking hot waiting for the meet up with Betsy, but well worth it. The concert was much more than I had expected. There were a lot of commercials by Pop Tarts and Guitar Hero and too many Fox commercials for IFTYCD, but it was fun to see the two David’s GH commercials. Based on the roar from the crowd, we knew that both David’s were heavily represented. We also got to see Blake and Jordan pitching their CDs.

Each singer sang their songs, and then introduced the next performer. They all seemed to have a genuine appreciation and love for their fellow Idols. That was felt throughout the night.

The concert started with Chikizie. He sang three songs, two of them new ones. He was surprisingly good and had great stage presence.

Next up was Ramiele. She was cute, but her singing was weakest of the group (in my opinion), which was a disappointment because I really like her. Rami sang three new songs. She is so tiny!

Next up was Michael Johns. He sang three songs previously done on Idol, all very nicely done. Great stage presence and very nice on the eyes!

Next up was Kristi Lee Cook. She was amazing and looked great too. She looked so tall and thin and was very good at moving her body, great stage presence. She sang much better than she did on the show. Kristi sang a good balance, one bluesy, one song from Idol and one country. Her voice was amazing.

Next up was Carly. She belted it out pretty loud as usual. She was very good, but I can’t remember what she sang, other than it was really loud. She got a standing ovation at the end.

Next up was Brooke. She came up on her piano, rising up from the floor. That was cool. Brooke sang her best Idol performance, then two new songs. Considering that she lived here, she didn’t seem to get that much applause.

After Brook, they did a group number for just those who had already sung. It was OK, but I was distracted waiting for Jason to be next. Next was Intermission for 20 more minutes of commercials. That sucked! They had this guitar hero competition between two older guys and nobody really cared. (If they had shown 12 yr olds, it would have held my attention)

Finally, we get to see our boy. Huge applause and screaming when he walked out. Lots more than any previous singer. He looked fantastic as usual and seemed to be so surprised by the outpouring of love for him. He had on red shoes! His smile was something. He was playing ukulele for SOTH and it was great. Halfway through the sound guy came up and plugged in his amp, then it sounded even better. Jason commented that he was sorry for that. OMG, it was so amazing that I didn’t even notice the mishap. He got loads of applause and EVERYONE was standing and screaming when he finished. He seemed shocked by our response. Next he sang Crazy, which made us DH very happy. (I heard comments behind me that they didn’t know he could sing that good.) Daydreaming was fantastic too! I was literally shaking when he was done. I was struck by his physical beauty and just in awe. I can’t think of any more adjectives other than breath-taking.

Syesha was next. I hardly remember her song choices, I forgot to write them down as I was still playing Jason’s over in my mind. Syesha sang great and looked great. She sang a song from Dreamgirls that was fabulous.

Next up was David A. Fans went nuts! Lots of screaming and he was as surprised as Jason at the response. He was great on all four songs. He also rose up on the piano from below, but he had tons of fog around him, you could hardly see him! David also wore red shoes. (Did he get this fashion tip from Jason?) There was probably more cheering for David A than anyone else, they wouldn’t stop!

David C was fantastic also. He sang 5 songs, two new ones. He sang one song dedicated to his brother that was very touching. He was really getting into the crowd too.

They did a group number with all the Idols, which was fun. Jason did his dorky dancing and seemed to having fun. Many of the Idols stated how different it was on this stage and how much better it was than on the show. The crowd was really into it.

As a good rule of thumb, all photos of Jason should be posted in the Images Board. You can start a thread in that board just like you do in this board. Hope that helps.

OMG, it was 115 degrees yesterday. It was probably still over 100 degrees when those pictures were taken. I swear, it's like living in a convection oven here. That being said, Jason looks hot, tired and adorable as usual. Great pics, thanks!

I'm never going to get a nap today! This was a nice close up video and the sound quality was great! Loved how he handled the interruption and how the crowd cheered when they could hear the uke.

Someone who was there could probably tell u better, but I watched the video and he is moving around stage a little, kinda jamming on his guitar, and just having a great time. I heard the commotion too last night and wondered the same thing.

Analise, thank you for posting this incredible picture. What a treasure from the concert. And man, where were you sitting. It looked like you were right up by the stage - awesome!!! I also wanted to know if you were crying or just shaking during his songs. I could tell you were emotional, but just wondering.

Ok here are some deets

The first time I met the Castros was at their hotel (I posted a thread about it called "My Amazing Adventure"
& This time they were just walking around the arena!
Right when I walked in I thought I saw Michael From Behind and I was like
I HAVE to say hi for the creeperz!
haha So I came up to him and was like "Hi Michael I'm a-"
Then Betsey saw me and was like "HI!"
K So I wasn't really that close I have to admit I rushed the Stage When Jason was about to come on hahah.
and during Daydream people were screaming when he was playing his guitar all over the stage and at one point goes "yeah!"
He was just too cute for words.

I actually don't care for that song, but I don't mind watching the Idols perform it. I'm sure it's an awesome show! I just find myself wishing they would have had some more spots other than just the contestants singing solos and then that one group number. Like last year, all of the guys had a band and played instruments and sang "Crazy" and "Hey Jude." Chris R. played the drums, Phil played the keyboard, I believe Chris S. and Blake played guitar and then Sanjaya had the tambourine. And then Chris S, Phil and Sanjaya had a "boyband" called Chriljaya and they did a really silly version of "I Want it That Way" and then gave pointers to people wanting to audition for the next season. I wasn't there, but I watched the youtube videos, and it looked like a lot of fun and goofiness. I was kind of hoping there would be a bit of that this year. Oh well. I'm sure it will still an amazing show!

I agree that they should've have had a band act. A lot of the idols play instruments and this would've been a good chance to show them all off together. AI just doesn't seem to get it this year.

awwww... im kinda teary-eyed right now too...

remember the first time he sang this and captured our hearts? --- he was soooo skeeereed...

and NOW.... WOW.... he gained a lot of confidence, he is in his element, he's just being himself-- having fun, (not to mention being freakinly cute), and most importantly HE ROCKED IT!


so glad to see him grow in front of our eyes!!!

i'm so proud of him!!!!

Hey, here's the thing that I wrote about my tour experience after I got home from it. It's kinda long and a lot about MCas. :

Saturday- I saw the hotel they were staying at and a bus across the street in a parking lot. I took a picture next to it and then went shopping at the mall, hoping to run into Jason or Michael. I probably seemed crazy with all the looking around I was doing there. When I was leaving the area, the bus in the parking lot was gone and another bus was a street down. So, okay, just seeing the buses was super exciting!

Monday night- A few dreadheads got together for a “convention” in the hotel that the idols just happened to be staying at. Kudos to hoorah4croft for bringing awesome brownies! Our room was cool I guess. I found the hammock between two palm trees. We never saw Jason, but at the concert Betsy said that they didn’t get back until 12:00 and we were already back in the room by then. So close!

Tuesday- The dreadheads met up and we saw Betsy really quick to give her the box with gifts including the puzzle piece. I got a really quick picture with her then, but my hair was blowing like crazy. Then I went with my mom to get our Exclusive Access passes we had won so we could use a private bathroom. la de freakin da. We never even used them.
Then we went in and it was almost totally empty! It was so cool to see it fill up. I went over to talk to my cousin and aunt who had managed to get backstage passes. (I’m SO jealous, but trying not to dwell on that.) I quickly wrote a letter for them to give to Jason. Some guy next to me asked me who I was writing a letter to and I think he thought I was nuts. Jason was totally excited when they gave it to him and he put it in his POCKET to read later. That’s just too exciting! I also gave my cousin a Jason picture that she got him to sign and a David A. picture for my little sister.
So then I went back to my seat and I was just kind of sitting around for a couple minutes. I didn’t know where the Castros were sitting, but I just felt like I should walk over this one way and it turned out that they were there! It was so awesome! I got pictures with Rene, Betsy, and Jackie, but Michael was off playing guitar hero or something. I went back to my seat and the stupid Poptart thing was going on. We saw Michael a few minutes later. I literally ran over there with sunshine*girl. First I asked him if I could get a picture and he nodded. He just seemed totally shy and cute. I ran up to him, got a picture, and ran back to my seat because the concert was starting soon.

You can hear enough about the singing from other people. I agree with them.

Intermission came along… I went back over to where the Castros were, but Michael had already left! I wanted to get another picture because the one I’d already gotten was crapola. I talked with Betsy for a bit... She said something about how Jason was always good at puzzles when he was little. And they have a tradition of doing a puzzle as a family for New Years. Or was it Christmas? I’m thinkin’ New Years. Then I saw Michael walking back down the aisle and I was totally excited waiting there with hoorah4croft. I got another picture with him. Then I pulled out my folder that was packed with pictures and stuff and he signed a picture for me. He signed hoorah4croft’s Jason towel, so then I had him sign mine too… My mom asked him if he sang and if Jason’s success had made him want to sing more. He said that it had, but that he wouldn’t want to do American Idol. I went back again to show him the petition for him to post a video blog. I had organized the whole thing and printed it out. Jackie said that she had tried to get him to do one. He was like, “Well what would I do on it? ‘I’m just sitting in my room now…” (or something like that! lol) And I said the creepers would love anything.
Jason was amazing of course. I didn’t take as many pictures and videos of him as I would have wanted to since I was so into watching him. I’m glad everyone else can share their videos and pictures with me!
After the concert, we waited and watched the buses drive away…
So, yeah, it was awesome fun! I don’t really have much else original to say right now. Everyone else can describe for you just how gorgeous Michael was, how sweet the Castros are, and how amazing Jason was! Hopefully this makes sense since I’m writing it at 4 AM. I’m still kind of jittery and not ready to sleep yet. The only thing I ate Tuesday was a sloppy joe at 11:30 AM and then I ate half a chewy bar at 1:30 AM this morning (Wednesday)! I’m just not in the mood for food. I’m too excited!

PS. I just remembered what someone (laxmom6’s daughter’s friend?) told me after the concert. She said that when she was talking to Michael, she asked him if it’d be awkward if she kissed him right then and he said it wouldn’t be the first time! bahaha

Oh my gosh, I just love this guy more and more everyday. The look on his face at around 41 seconds when the sound guy was plugging in the ukelele is priceless; the look he gives the guy is just too funny!! And yet kept on singing and never missed a beat! I just love him!

Thanks for bringing all this over! It was the first concert of the summer...we'll have such great memories!
