I hope this is in the right place... my first time to post.
So, I have emailed the entertainment editor of the Atlanta Journal Constitution with a story idea. I am hoping they will take me up on it. I want to go to the Tulsa show, with it being the last tour stop and cover the concert and the unique nuances that will go with it being the last show, interview the idols and the idol families that are there etc and put together a piece that will paint a picture of the AI experience start to finish, affecting not only the idols, but their families as well. The angle will be one of looking back reflectively and looking forward prospectively. They have published my articles before (on varying subjects) and when I covered the show in Duluth, GA for B98.5, one of the radio's staff recognized my name and said he was familiar with my articles, so I'm hoping and praying that maybe they will give me the chance to do this story. If so, Betsy if you're reading this, your family would obviously be the one I would want to talk with the most (I might be a teensy bit biased in my coverage of the idols)
. Ya'll, say a prayer that the paper will want to do this. With all the hurricanes and politics going on they may not have room, on the other hand, with all the hurricanes and politics, it might be just the kind of piece to lighten the mood. And of course don't forget, while I would be covering everyone, our favorite guy would be highlighted.
