It's all about PROMOTING the music! We're looking for highly-motivated individuals to work on and head up Jason's US and International street teams. If you: ~ have strong organizational skillzzzz~ enjoy team projects and working with the public~ have experience managing/modifying online networking platforms like MySpace and Facebook~ are ready and excited to manage local promotions for one Mr. Jason R. Castro AND~are at least 21 years old (some of the venues we'll need to canvas to promote Jason may serve alcoholic beverages) let us know! Team structure will consist of teams by state/country that will report to a regional team leader, so we're looking for both State/Country and Regional Team Leaders (some larger/heavily populated states and countries will be subdivided, e.g. Northern California/Southern California). If this sounds like something you can get into, please go to the U.S. or International sign-up boards on JasonCastroMusic.com to give us your name, state/country and whether you're interested in local or regional team management. Team leader candidates will be contacted by JCM staff over the next few weeks to schedule interviews. If you're not interested in street team leadership but would like to be a team member: Please sign-up on the same boards by posting the state/country in which you are available to help. There's no job too small for a street teamer, so even if you've only got a little bit of time to contribute, there is a job for YOU! (There is no age requirement for street team membership.) If you live in an area where you could be involved with more than one street team (such as New Jersey, or near a state border) and have a desire to do so, please list both areas in your post. Please do not chatter in the sign-up threads. If you have any questions or comments, there is a Q & A thread on both the U.S. and International Sign-Up boards. Thanks!

~ Please find the thread for the region for which you will be signing up.
~ Please post the country you live in and which team position you are interested in: Regional Team Leader, Country Team Leader or Street Team Member.
~ Countries may be subdivided into more than one team at a later date as population/interests dictate.
~ If you have questions, please ask them in this thread. Please do not chatter in the sign-up threads.
Thanks!

What is the difference between Regional Team Leader and Province Team Leader?

Just the nomenclature. Canada is divided into provinces, so....

Yes I think I know we are split up into provinces.... hahaha. So a Regional leader only covers a certain part of the province while a Provincial leader covers the entire province, is that it? And what is the difference in responsibility for each? Thanks!

To be honest, Van, to my knowledge we need to see what kind of response there is for Canada to know exactly what will be needed. Most of the provinces cover a pretty big area and may need to be sub-divided, in which case there may be Province Team Leaders and City Leaders. The other option is naming Canada as one region, with team leaders by province. Clear as mud? Haha! Here's what I put in the US Q & A thread, which we'll have to adapt for international teams. State Team leaders will organize street team events, manage activities, make sure team members are getting their jobs done, manage the online networking pages for their area, keep track of every aspect of the state team, etc.
All state team leaders will report to a regional team leader, who will be doing all of the above on a larger scale.
Also? Other duties as assigned. Heh. (Isn't that always on job descriptions?) We're still developing roles and responsibilities and should have a detailed list very soon.

Ok. I'm here to be a pest yet again. hahaha, sorry.
I know there exist lots of other Canadian Jason fans that would totally sign up. My question is, has this really been advertised anywhere for members of the board to really see? I mean I only know about it because Kim (kbelisle01) came on IDF and let us know. Otherwise I don't check the street team section *that* often and I probably wouldn't have seen it for another little while.
Just a suggestion that maybe this should be promoted better if you want more participants? Maybe sending the members an email? Or what about sending out a universal PM like what was done for the Street Team name contest? I really think that would help gather more people. Realistically, not everyone checks out every part of the forum on a regular basis.

The bulletin has also been posted on other Jason forums (GG, DH, Castrocopia, IDF and JC Online) and we're also planning to release it as a bulletin on Myspace, You Tube and Facebook in the next day or so. Thanks again!! JCM

The Canadians haven't come out of the woodwork yet, but I already see an increase in the other teams!! ;D I would suggest sending out an email as well if you can, since those that don't log on the site everyday, might not know there is a PM waiting for them. But of course I'm not being pushy... ya'll are doing an amazing job with the site thus far!!

Hi there! ;D I've read that for the US Regional Team Leaders you have scheduled all the interviews. I would like to know if I missed something or the interviews for the Internationals are still pending. Thank you so much!

Hi mariana, We have not scheduled any interviews yet. We're still making initial 'get to know' calls in the US. We're going to finish those before scheduling any interviews. As soon as we finish the 'get to know' calls for the US, we're going to move onto the International regions. Right now we're finishing up North and South Central and just starting to schedule Mountain and Pacific calls.

The regional leaders are contacting those who returned questionnaires to schedule an interview, Tweetie. Garland has kind of thrown a wrench in the gears, but you should hear from your regional leader soon if you haven't already.
If you have any more questions, we're here to help -- just drop them off in the US Q and A thread.
