Ordered my stuff....although why does the card in the FanClub membership say "Dreadheads"? Not to beat a dead horse here but we don't all consider ourselves to be "Dreadheads". No offense meant to anyone, but I'd consider myself more of a Jason Castro fan than being lumped into a general fanbase...
I think generalizing gets away from what's important....the music
And once he is done with AI, he needs to be taken as a serious artist...and this IMO won't help
I still bought it though...need to show my support!

I agree totally. A more generic form something like Jasoncastromusic.com fan club (sneak the website in to - BONUS)! Would certainly make us freaks/fans who aren't dreadheads feel more included.

Yay for the merch! But, referring to Aimster's question above, what happens when Jason decides to cut his dreads? I think he should be known out in the non-AI world for his music, not his hair.

is there a window cling? I didn't see it.
I am now a card carrying member of the Jason Castro fan club. GULP. I hate labels.

i agree Aims. i'd buy the membership if we're not generalized as dreadheads. again, i have nothing against the name AT ALL. i'm a HUMONGOUS and very much a fully invested fan of jason but i do not consider myself a dreadhead. just my .02.

not to mention the date is all wrong on the letter. It was February 2008 not 2007

Wow...I missed that, castrofan. Interesting.
I have the same feelings as Aimster and the other gals, but I still signed up, of course. Nothing was holding me back from being a member of Jason's fan club. Seriously.
And, uh...I also bought a poster. Where is a 27-year-old supposed to hang a poster like that?!

I think that's the penalty we pay for being first and fastest to order. I would guess they already have the package together and the can hopefully make changes to future orders. I agree about the dreadhead label. I don't want it to be about Jason's hair - it's all about the music. Hope someone hears our suggestions! c

Does anyone know if the bumper sticker is a cling? It says vinyl, so I am hoping it's not a sticker.
And for the record, I do hope the dreadhead term is phased out eventually. I realize it was a spontaneous occurrence, but I really hope to see Jason recognized as a serious musician/singer/songwriter and the true talent that we all know he is. I believe shedding the terminology could be beneficial.
That said, I'm forgetting that I am 45 yrs. old and buying a fan club membership!! #giggle#

not to mention the date is all wrong on the letter. It was February 2008 not 2007 The date being incorrect on the letter has already been noticed and that's being reprinted. There's likely to be a delay of shipment for the fan club materials because of that, but there really wasn't an opportunity to get a new picture together to put on the store.

Do the shirts run small? I'm trying to figure out what size to get! Also, is the shirt that you can add to the fan club membership the black t-shirt?

I agree Aimster...I'd really love to see reference to Jason Castro Fans, rather than any of the individual fan bases. I actually thought that was the intent.

I am assuming the store and fan club membership is only available in the US right now. I am in Canada and tried to sign up but the only other option on the drop down menu beside USA is "first, select country" but there is no where to select a country. and it won't go through for me. I am seriously bummed, hope this changes soon.

I agree that the fan club membership should specify "Jason Castro Fans" and Castro fans only. Also, a short description under the "Description" of items might be helpful. I totally get what's included in the fan club membership package from the pic, but it's always nice to "have it in writing". Same with the other merch - what are the shirts made of (100% cotton?) and what sizes do the different sizes fit (Medium - 8 to 10?).
Just some suggestions. Otherwise - super job!
Oh, and can't wait for the travel coffee mug (pretty please)!
