I feel like I am commiting a crime by saying anything negative on jasons site but i am just stating how I feel. It may be that I am not the only person out there who doesnt like the 'woohoo' I would prefer to hear something else in that place instead of woohoo. Since I wasn't at the concert and we don't have a close-up of him singing, I actually thought for a little bit that he could be saying "cuckoo" - lol. I guess it would fit, but I still like the "woohoo" better. |

Don't feel bad about expressing your opinion!! That's the beauty of music - we don't all have to like the same thing. The woohoo threw me, too, at first, and I am still not sure it's the best word he could find....but it's growing on me. haha And I'm not over the top about SYL, either. I love the verses........but could do with fewer "Shine you light" repeats. And I'm not crazy with Dave's backup vocals on this one, either. thats exactly what i think about syl-too many repeats. the verses are beautiful but i get tired of hearing the shine your light, shine your light, shine your light. |

I love this song--that woohoo gets me every time. I think this one and Sweet Medicine are my favorites.

I LOVE the Wooo Hooo Wooo Part!!! That is my favorite part!!! It was that little catchy phrase that caught my attention and got stuck in my head!! It's those little phrases like that, that make for great radio catchy songs. Remember that song about 11 years ago, called, WhoooHooo?(Real name of song is "Song 2") It was sooo popular just because of the Wooo hoo thing!! I can't remember what the name of the band is that sang that. Ohhh it was by Blur!! and I went to a huge woodstock type concert in Dallas, and they played this song, and the whole crowd went insane, screaming. WooHooo!!!! I can see that it may not be for everyone. Some little things like that get on some people's nerves. Like I don't like that song whistle while you twirk. The whistling drives me bonkers. I have a pet peeve about whistling though!! But I LOVE Woo Hoo's!!! I think Jason's Closer with the WooHoo's will get alot of requests!!

ok all of you are gonna jump on me but, i dont like the woohoo. The lyrics are good and the music is good but something about the woohoo just doesnt sit right with me. Sorry. This is my least fave of the 3 new songs, prob b/c of the woohoo. Not saying I dont like it, but I just dont like it as much as the other 2. I love Love Uncomp, Its Alright with Me, Only One, Matter of Time, Ill wait for you, and someday. Just not as crazy about this one and shine your light as i am all the rest of them. I'll agree it's not as deep as say.... "life has made you beautiful", but I do think it's catchy and fun so I like it. Every album needs a couple of those care free, FUN songs. |

I'd go as far as to say it MAKES an otherwise OK song ALOT more catchy and fun! The Woohoo draws me into the song because I want to hear it again!
It expresses that joy that you can't find any words for, so you've just got to WOOHOO! ;D
