My busmatesss' (BUS #24) favorite is actually jason's cover (sortof) of Badfish!! Who else knows what I am talking about?? I'm wondering if jason will do a cover of Badfish by Sublime.

Well, actually I think all Jason's music is like medicine. You know like the kids grape flavored stuff that tastes good and makes everything all bettah! But his "Badfish" is definitely one of my favorite feel good songs of his.

I hope we have it on #cd6# someday!! #fingerscrossed#

Music Medicine---I love it. ezacly--I find myself going back over and over, watching it--When you look at it--I think the girl next to him is Mandy ( hope it's O.K. to ay that here) That makes it even more extra special-- And I think there are some smileys missing--couldn't find the headphones one.

I don't know if it's Mandy or not, but it's me - snapping my fingers everytime I hear it. And I don't what it is about that song but it sure lifts ya up off a that reef, don't it.

I don't know -, but they sure are missing a great video and song---I just can't stop watching it--the video was on Castrocopia--that's the first time I saw it--and I'm so glad I did--now I can't stop. #thstars#

I love, love, love Badfish. OK, secret confession time. Other people dream about having any kind of moment with Jason... date night... yada yada. The Badfish video is my date night, and yes all of the people would have to be there too... I don't want to be serenaded... actually throw his family in there too because they are all so awesome. I would love to just be a fly on the wall when they have family get-togethers and pass the guitar around... to see how it is in his family... hey maybe Jason will make us a date night video of that.

The Badfish video makes me want to jump into my computer and hang out in that room with all of those people. That is like my most comfortable environment. I am not musically gifted... I'm kind like Jason but without the natural talent (his gift is unmatched in my eyes), BEFORE he learned to play guitar and let other people hear him sing. However, I grew up with music all around me. My dad is a musician and my mom is an artist. The arts were important to my family, so growing up, my dining room was a recording studio (often with a full drum set. Loved it when the drummer would leave his set because I was allowed to play!!) and an oil-painting studio. I dabbled in it all... painting, guitar (ouch on the fingers), keyboards (not my dad's forte, and I never showed interest in formal training), clarinet for a month(squeak!) drums (my dad swears I was actually good at that. He actually had me play on one or 2 of his recordings a while back because he wanted a steady beat with very few fills and he called his drummer "fill boy") singing in chorus (not solo. no power to my voice. prayed I was quiet enough that I did not stand out), but I never follow through. I just hang out with the musicians and artsy types... I was the non-music major groupie in college that went to all of the performances/recitals for fun when they were going for class credits.

All of my friends were music majors and they sang their way through their days. I just love that casual hangout listening to him play guitar and sing informally. That is like hanging out with my brother and my dad. I actually got my brother to learn to play Badfish after listening to Jason. He takes a little bit of a different spin on it that I also love, by the way. I have to admit that Jason kind of makes me not want to listen to original songs any more... even ones I like because I like Jason's voice/phrasing better. So I was going to download the original Badfish, but I'll take my ripped Jason on my couch version over the original any day. LOL!

That's it for my late night ramblings!
