I wonder if they will praise Michael and try to make him look better than Jason. Last year they were nasty to Jason and maybe they will continue to be!

I had planned to watch AI anyway just for the entertainment. But I never want get caught up in it like I did this season. Since there is only one Jason Castro, I can't see that happening. He is #1 as far as celebrities go. I do think it is so exciting that Michael has auditioned. If he makes to Hollywood and the top 24 and continues, it will make watching next season alot more interesting.

(sorry...i re-watched jason's last few performances and jerks doesn't even BEGIN to describe those judges) i'll never forgive them.  |

i wonder about that too..... i hope not. that would really pizz me off and i'd stop watching. i wouldn't put it past them- the jerks. They better not continue with the insults or they're going to anger and alienate Jason's fans all over again and risk losing them for good. BTW, love your smiley Tamra... very appropriate. haha Also, has anyone noticed that the you tube video of Michael cage fighting has been removed? It was there yesterday. It appeared to me that Jason forgave AI for the harsh treatment and didn't let it get to him. I see no need to hold on to anger when Jason clearly hasn't. Forgiveness frees the forgiver. Holding on to anger gives power to the object of that anger. Just my 2 cents.
I've had a favorite AI contestant before and I still love him and support him. When I became a Jason fan I did not feel disloyal to my other favorite Idol. Jason was a nice addition to musical artists that I love. Not a replacement, an addition. I plan to support Michael if he gets to Top 24 and to vote for him as long as he is on the show. No strings - no conditions.

IMO Jason is a perfectionist and way to humble. He focuses on what he thinks he lacks which is power and range. I think he has more than enough of both. What Jason seems to fail to understand is that vocal tone and being instantly recognizable to the listener is huge and Jason has that. No one sounds like Jason. The ability to make your listeners feel to move them is also huge. IMO no one infuses emotion and feeling into songs like Jason does. Also Jason phrasing is so creative and poignant and moving. Jason artistry is bar none. That said, if Michael has something special about his singing that is unique and undeniable well I will support him. If he is just another big voice vocal gymnast's I won't. Exactly...Jason was unique, that's why so many people identified with him. He wasn't just another A.I. cookie cutter performer. He had style. True, is voice may not have been as strong as some of the other performers. But, that's part of the reason why I liked/like him so much. It's a perfectly imperfect flaw that sets him apart from the crowd...and he had all the range and character as the "stronger" singers too, which was very special. Jason's one in a million...that's for sure. And, Jason earned that status. I've said this before, but I'm not going to automatically like Michael because he's Jason's brother. I hope he does well...I WANT him to do well. Don't mis-understand me, he'll need to earn my favoritism which will be a really tough thing to do, but I have a good feeling about him. |

Veryyy interesting. I'm sure he will be different from Jason which is good. They are each their own person - I'm curious to see how he did in the try outs. We'll just have to wait and see.

you think michael would put himself through this for laughs? im sure he has better character then that. i dont think he wouldnt be doing this for that reason since he saw first hand what jason went though as far as schedule and practice. but im interested in why you think this since we dont know anything about his motivations yet. I'm not saying anything about his character. And when did I say 'for laughs'? I'm happy for Michael! I hope he makes it! I'll be praying for God's will in his journey as well. If he's good (which I'm sure he is, since Jason says he is) and he makes it, I'll be voting. That will not lessen or change how I feel about Jason's music or how I support him and his career.
There is room on my iPod and in my heart (*sigh* Let's all say a big "Awwww!" to my cheesiness...) for everyone!

Nobody is all good or all bad. We all have light and dark inside of us...what matters is which one we choose to act on most of the time in our lives. I try to go with the light, but lately I've been feeling kind of dark...that's when Jason can start playing and his voice makes me feel better. |

In fact, they were like that fairly often. But, they ride alot of people like that. I don't think it's anything personal...I think they just want to get the artist to realize and use their full potential...that's why they're tough. Don't get me wrong, I don't think Jason deserved all of the criticism he got. They were unjustifyable mean to him sometimes. But, it's over...it's done...and Jason seems to have come out of it fine. I see no reason to hold a gruge. Life's too short and it's only television. I really don't see myself liking any A.I. contestent more than I like Jason, but that doesn't mean there isn't room in my music collection for a season 8 favorite. As to whether or not it'll be Michael Castro, I couldn't say yet. But, I'm sure looking forward to finding out! ;D |
