One thing that makes this book unique is that there is NO mention of God in it. However, as Beth points out, God’s name may not be in it, but it is ON it. Every word in the Bible is God-breathed. She states that there is as much to learn by where God does not make Himself obvious as where He does. He has lessons to teach us about the times when we cannot see Him. He reveals Himself through ordinary events. Sometimes in Scripture, God does things with or without humans. He parted the Red Sea, while Moses stood there. Sometimes though, He wants us to get in there and DO the work. He wants to USE us to get things done. We are called to be light in a dark place. That is our duty as Christians. WOW!! That is very powerful!!

When we can't seem to find Him - look for Him.

Another way I like to think about it is when we feel like God has forgotten us or doesn't care or don't know where he is just rememeber it wasn't God who moved, it was you. That made no sense. Ok stopping no.

I'm sure Esther didn't see herself as one whom God had His eye on, just as we don't always feel remembered by Him. I tend to look at what others are doing and think I'm not doing anything....therefore God doesn't see me as he sees others. A convenient lie!

So let’s try to put ourselves in Esther’s shoes…Have you ever felt like God has forgotten about you? Have you ever felt like anyone but you would be God’s choice? This is a question we all can answer, thanks Kendall! In church tonight I noticed all these single women. Some divorced, some widowed, some never married (like me). I wondered how they dealt with being single. I used to often think God forgot about me - why should I be single - why me God? Millie...You may still be single, but I have always wondered if I had known the living God and surrendered to him earlier and trusted him to guide me through life...where would I be now, letting him chose for me, and for me not to listen to the pressures of the world and family...

When we can't seem to find Him - look for Him. That's right! Deuteronomy 31:8 says, "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." He NEVER leaves. If you can't find Him, keep looking!

Ok stopping no. Sometimes it isn't even a question of anyone moving but one of circumstances clouding our line of sight. I find that just when I think God has forgotten me, He does something only He can do to show me that He has not and will not forsake me.

No one sang yet, so I'll take a turn!
Carry You - Amy Grant Lay down your burden, I will carry you I will carry you, my child, my child Lay down your burden, I will carry you I will carry you, my child, my child
If I can walk on water And calm a restless sea I've done a thousand things you've never done
And I'm weary watchin' While you struggle on your own Call my name, I'll come
Lay down your burden, I will carry you I will carry you, my child, my child Lay down your burden, I will carry you I will carry you, my child, my child
I give vision to the blind And I can raise the dead I've seen the darker side of Hell And I returned And I see those sleepless nights And I count every tear you cry I know some lessons hurt to learn
Lay down your burden, I will carry you I will carry you, my child, my child Lay down your burden, I will carry you I will carry carry, my child, my child
I will carry you, my child, my child I will carry you

And what is the quote about us seeing things as though through a glass darkly, but later we will see them clearly..
