I will write up my experience here in the next day or so. Still tired from the long day and drive. It was so worth going.

Here are my pix. I didn't get many good ones this time, but have lots of memories inside my head. I'll share them as soon as I can.

HAHAHA. I had no idea those glasses would be such a hit! :-) I'll have to post my review and pictures in a second...

You totally have a picture of him talking to me (well, the back of my head) in the afternoon and you can see the glasses in my hand. But I didn't give them to him until that night.

I'm putting off my report because we saw Jason before, during and after the show so I'm on overload. So I'll just tell the jacket story. Jason came out after the show. He was doing that sort of slow hopping walk he does, with his elbows bent and slowly swinging his arms front to back. When he does that walk, you know he's in a happy mood. He walked near our end of the line and looked down the line to see where to start. I swear the line was the length of a city block, about 2 deep. We yelled loud and long enough so he started on our end.

He was moving rather quickly, saying "wow, I'm cold" and mentioning the cold every other sentence. He was wearing his latest uniform t-shirt and manpris. He passed me by so quickly, signing things people were shoving in front of us. So although I'm shy, I had to yell for him to come back a couple times. Finally I asked him for a pic and he said sure. My husband took one, but he had the lens cap on. He is fired as my official photographer. Anyway, as I stood there with my arm around Jason's waist, I could feel him shivering. He said something like "I'm so cold" so I hugged him tighter, like I've done to my kids hundreds of times.

Then I said "Do you want to wear my jacket?". It was my windbreaker that I wear to OSU games...scarlet and grey. I was wearing a sweater, but grabbed that jacket out of the trunk on the way to bus stalking on a whim. He slowly said Nooooo, but was glancing at the jacket sideways while he said that. So I held it up and showed it to him and said "Are you sure? Here, it's just a regular jacket." I wanted him to see it wasn't a girlie thing. He said "Well ok. Don't you need it?" And I said "no, I have a sweater on." Even if I was on the brink of hypothermia I would have given it to him because he's been sick for so long, and still sounds a little stuffed up. I have a hunch that's what convinced him to take it.

I don't even remember handing it to him. heheh I seem to have these lapses of consciousness when I'm around him. He put his right arm through it and I helped him pull it over his left shoulder. I thought it might be too small on him, it's a woman's SML, but it's big on me and fit him perfectly. He said "I'll give it back to you on the way back."

Well, a few of us walked along the sidewalk as he worked the crowd. He was in a goofy, energetic, happy mood. I was so thrilled about that because when we last saw him in Cleveland he was tired and still sick. DingueApe (April) gave him some Drew Carey type glass frames with tape on the nose piece and temples and Jason loved them. He put them on for a picture with her and didn't want to take them off. The faces he made for most of the pics were hilarious. He was having so much fun and all the fans, not just his fans, were laughing and having a blast with him.

He told someone that he never gets sick but has gotten sick so much on the show. Someone else on the outskirts asked if they could ask him a question. He kindly but firmly responded "This isn't an interview." He came up to a bunch of young girls (under age 12) and spent so much time with them. One little girl with braid-dreads was so excited and thrilled with Jason signing her shirt and taking a pic that she burst into tears right after he passed them. heheh I know the feeling, honey!!

For one picture he made a silly face, then said "We better take that one over. I was caught off guard." So they posed again and he made an even funnier face, then said something like "that was better." I think there's a tape of all this that will be circulating soon; I can't trust my memory.

We finally got to the end of the line; he was outside for over an hour. I asked him if I could get a pic with him wearing my jacket. Then I asked if we could get it without the glasses, and he said ok. heheh I looked awful in the pic and my fired photographer didn't get both of us in it so hoping someone else did.

Then Jason took the jacket off and handed it back to me. Can't recall if he said anything. I need to see that tape!! A bunch of us thanked him for coming out and wished him well in the future. He kind of shrugged to questions about the future and said something like "we'll see". I think he then ran back past the entire line to the buses; hopefully he looked out for the tree he walked into in the afternoon. Someone then felt the jacket and said "my gosh it's still warm from him." I'm not naming names here but you know who you are. hahaha

As we all walked back to the start of the line, people kept saying to me "he gave you his jacket??!!!!" I told them it was my jacket that he was wearing because he was cold. One girl asked if she could buy it from me! Not on my life!!! The funniest, most unsurprising thing is that a bunch of the Dreadheads asked me if they could smell it. hahahahahahahahaha I said "yeah, but I get first dibs on the smelling." ;D ;D ;D So they said yes that was only fair. I am laughing so hard as I'm typing this. So we each took a long whiff of the inside of the jacket, although I didn't want to let the strong wind blow the fragrance away. omgosh I'm still laughing. #ththlmaosmiley# There was absolutely no odor at all. I wrapped it up as tightly as I could and hugged it.

Other Idols came out during this time, and I was kind of disappointed that we didn't notice MJ until he was heading back to the buses. His is the only autograph my husband didn't get on his poster. We all stood around waiting for the buses to pull out. It was really cold out there but I wasn't going to wear that jacket. My husband and I stood across the driveway, up on the platform of the ticket booth. Security was so nice at that point and didn't make us move. Finally the girls' bus left; Carly was riding shotgun and waved to all the screaming fans!! Then the boys' bus left. I could see inside the front section from my perch, but saw only MJ sitting on a sort of bench with his back to the window, facing me. I waved but don't think he could see. Didn't see any of the other guys right there.

We went back to the car and to the hotel. My husband found the drycleaning bag in the hotel closet and told me to put the jacket in it so it wouldn't air out. He thinks we're all a little bit nuts, but he's been by my side through all this, talking pictures and never making one comment about our fandom, so I'm very lucky for that!!
And the only other thing I'll say is that I'm pretty sure Jason wears "tommy". Don't ask me how I figured that out. #giggle#

Heyyy, everybody!

So, I suck at recaps, but let's just say Jason sounded even better live this time than when I saw him in Chicago at the beginning of the tour. He did a lot of funny movement in the final number, and Michael Johns whacked him HARD on the back of the head as they walked the catwalk. Ouch. Between that blow to the back of the head by MJ and Jason poking himself in the eye and running into a tree before the show...well, I'm getting ahead of myself...

The afternoon was great. Jason only had about 35 minutes or so to cover everybody because he had press that day (of course, sad day for us!) He spent quite a bit of time with the dreadheads though... And what a nice guy he was! I had him sign a kind of crappy drawing I did and reminded him that in Chicago he told me my other drawing was in his house. He said well it must be in my house then. So I described it and he was like, yeah yeah, ok, and he knew what I was talking about. (It was a drawing his friends/fam saw a picture of online, and they liked it so much that I offered to send it to his fam so they could have it. He told me in Chicago that it was in his living room when he got home from Idol.) I asked if he'd read a music business book I gave him at the beginning of the tour (since he'd said in his blog that he's read a lot of books on the music biz), and he said he hasn't gotten to it yet. So he mentioned reading The Guardian because it was given to him by someone, so I made fun of him, and he got defensive, and it was kinda funny. He held a sign that said "I love NICU nurses!!!" for my aunt. He was like, "I love...NURSES, all right". Like yeah, I agree with that. Haha. I also mentioned kind of in a rush that he should meet up with Hanson to discuss how they distribute their records since they own their own label and have great distributors lined up all over the world. Sue handed him some stuff from our resident German Girl, Barbara, and he explained that the bracelet he used to wear that she gave him is broken. We said hi for her.

After Jason finished going down the line, he was retracing his steps to come pick up his gifts and head into press. I had just looked down at my camera to switch to picture mode, so the last I saw was him staring at his phone while walking at the same time, and I thought, I'm sure he sees that tree he's a few feet from. So a dreadhead named Kristy (bless her heart) yells, "Jason, there's a TREE!" And he stopped whatever he was doing (I guess he'd started waving to fans) and evidently thanked her, because he had only run into the branches. It was a short tree, like a shrub almost. I don't think he was hurt. He walked around it and was laughing hysterically, saying how ridiculous that was. Someone said, "Jason, you're..." and he goes, "clumsy, really clumsy" or something like that. It was very amusing.

After the concert, Jason took his time outside. He walked the line for over an hour, taking pictures with everybody, signing autographs, the whole lot. When he got a little over halfway down, he was in front of me, and I told him that I have never gotten a picture with him on my camera (true story...last time in Chicago it didn't take. Luckily other dreadheads had taken pix.) So I held up my black glassless Drew Carey-style plastic black frame glasses with white tape on all the corners and said I thought we should include the glasses as a prop. (I work for Ticketmaster, and we get a lot of swag from venues and sports teams. One of our clients or local offices in Ohio sent us hats/tshirts/random swag as some kind of thank you, and in there was a box of these glasses. We thought it must have been some kind of marketing plan that either didn't work or they had excess stuff leftover from it. Anyways we all took glasses and wore them at work that afternoon and I had them on the desk at home ever since...Not sure why I brought them with me in my rush to pack up, but hey, it worked out.) So Jason wanted to be the one to wear them and put them on. We took our picture and he was like, these are AWESOME. I laughed and told him he could have them if he wanted. He was like, "Really?!" all surprised and was very thankful, which is funny. So he took a pic with my aunt, too, and asked her if she wanted him to take his glasses off, and she said it was OK since they were twins. (She has glasses.) That pic was also great. I apologized for making fun of him earlier in the day, and he was like, "huh?" and then said no worries. I don't think he even remembered. I have never said my name or anything, and he can't possibly keep straight who is who from day to night. So yeah, I showed him the photo with my aunt and he was laughing. I said, "Dude, this is like the, look how great my braces worked shot." I have a tendency to show people the picture immediately after taking it like as if Jason is my friend, haha, but he loved the look. So he kept going to the next person with the glasses on. I was kind of in shock that he hadn't put them in his pocket. So I said, "Dude, are you gonna wear the glasses for everyone else?" And he goes, "YEAH!" and then got this concerned face. "...Is that ok?" I was like, yeah, go for it. It's funny that he actually thought I might want that pose for only me, but hey, I say share the love. I just was thinking HE would be embarrassed, but he loved it. He kept making funny faces and hammin' it up all down the line. I think Becky got a great video of this. At one point I was telling him not to let people discriminate against him cuz of his glasses, and I think Carol said that maybe now you'll be able to keep from walking into trees...("Who said that?" Jason asked. Haha.) He kept readjusting the glasses like they were real, but then he goes, "Someone gave them to me. They're not real." And he points to the lens but since they were missing lenses, he poked himself in the eye. "Ow!" he yelped. "Did you just poke yourself in the eye?!" I announced. Everybody was laughing with Jason. "No... and I didn't walk into a tree earlier, either. That didn't happen, either." He was like asking people "with the glasses or without?" and going "let's get serious" when he would take them off. Just funny stuff.

So I took a couple videos of him also and got some good pix. The 6-minute video from the afternoon won't load on this computer so I'll load it at work tomorrow afternoon, I promise!!! But here are the others, plus my link to my photos from the show! And some of the best pix are below. Enjoy!

SQUUUEEEEEEEE! Hanna! Dingue! This is great, so great! Love the stories. I'm so happy you got a happy, joyful Jason. We missed him in Cleveland, right, Hanna? When we have our reunion, you better bring that jacket all sealed up so we can get a waft of him. Ahhhhh! So awesome.

Oh, hey, if you got to my youtube there's a video from the daytime and a couple at nighttime... nothing of the tree, sorry! How was I to know what he'd do...I was sure he saw that tree, but obviously I was wrong.

Hanna, you're so welcome! I didn't know it was your jacket, but that makes sense! I remember thinking it didn't "go" with his outfit, lol, like it seemed like it was someone else's...but God bless you for keeping him warm, because it was mighty cold out. I had goosebumps the whole night from the chill. :-)

The day in Ft. Wayne was one of the best days of my life.

Let me start with the thing that ended my perfect day. When I was starting my 3 hour drive home at midnight, there was the biggest shooting star that I have ever seen! It went down in front of me right over the road and was really cool!

I arrived there at almost 2 pm (late) and immediately saw all the DHs. They had huge banners and signs. There was even a Santa sign where they were passing out CDs. So funny!

Jason and David A. walked out casually and sauntered over to all of us. Everyone started screaming. We were frustrated with security who seemed to want to have THEIR picture taken -- they were surrounding David A. and Jason, which thouroughly annoyed those of us trying to take any pics of the two of them. Someone said that David A. was singing "What a Day for a Daydream" . I didn't hear him, though. I think I develop ADHD in the presence of Jason and I can't remember anything. But Jason started with the DHs. When Jason came up to me, I first asked him to say "hi" to LauraAnne and later for a hug and I went to hug him. Well, there was only a rope separating us from the idols (thank goodness for no barricade) so I leaned in to hug him and I pushed him off balance a little. I think I may have said "Sorry" to him at some point after I almost knocked him down, too. Here are a couple of pictures.

After my picture with him, several of us (overstrung and I and mickeymouse) followed/stalked Jason down the line. I wanted to just be near him for as long as possible, listen to him, and take pics, etc. He had to go to press and we were kind of sad about that. David A. stayed out for an hour and a half with everyone and Jason could only stay out for about 30 or 40 minutes. Oh, what we could have done with the extra time with Jason......How is it that he had press on 3 of the 4 days that I saw him? It was still VERY nice, though. He was in the best mood, too. Oh, I forgot to mention, as he was walking back to go inside, he ran into a large shrub/small tree. kqq has it on video and it will be posted, I hope. After the show, he denied ever running into it, but we have photographic evidence. lol

Brooke came out and Chikezie also came out -- his birthday was on Sept 11 and people had party hats and sang and gave him gifts. It was nice. HannaB even made him a Happy Birthday Chikezie sign. She is one of the sweetest people!

After our wonderful time with Jason, a group of DHs went to an Italian place across the street that was so kind to let us use their bathroom during the wait for the idols, so a group of 8 of us went there. HannaB and her husband went to check into their hotel, so she didn't join us.

It was a blast to be with all of the other women. We compared our Jason pics and talked about him running into the tree, etc. I took a picture of them, but I won't post it since I don't know how they feel about their pics being on the internet. (If someone wants it, I can PM it to them.)

At about 5:15, we went back to the venue. Sarah aka ndsoccer5 thought that they were giving away afterparty passes at a radio station. Well, it turned out they had given them away at 3:30 or 3:45, which was frustrating. Who wanted those passes more than we did? I don't think anyone could have.

We got to our seats at 6:30 and OMG. My 10th row in the CENTER section was actually the THIRD ROW in the CENTER section. I couldn't believe it!! HannaB was 5 seats down from me and it turned out she was sitting next to Syesha's uncle (I think). There were alot of DHs with good seats. I think everyone in our entire group had in the first 10 rows of one of the sections. There were only 42 seats in the center section, which was incredible since I was one of the lucky few.

The concert started and it was amazing the difference when you have a great seat. My other 3 concerts were all at least 25 rows back on the floor because they were bought in presale. I didn't know the best seats became available the day before the concert, but I wish I had waited on ALL of the concerts.

So, they all sounded so much better when I was up close. I loved MJ's set again and I love Carly more every time I hear her. Her song "Bring Me to Life" I just LOVED! It has such meaning for me since I feel like Jason "woke me up inside". I LOVED seeing Brooke up close, too. She has the cutest smiles and expressions while she sings and she was wonderful. Then, intermission started. I told AmberTX that I would call in then and for Jason's set. It got quiet when we were in the bathroom, so I called her then, which wasn't a smart move. Most bathroom lines take forever, but this one moved at lightning speed once I placed the call. Amber wanted to talk to ndsoccer5 about getting the after feed, so I gave the phone to her and she actually had to go into the stall while she was being broadcast, I think. lol I'm glad I didn't have to do that. Sorry Sarah!

We returned to the show and luckily I remembered to call AmberTX right during the countdown to his set. Jason came out and we screamed and held up our signs for him. He started SOTR and he sounded better than in Cleveland, but that might have been because we were SOO close! Crazy was awesome, too, and of course Daydream, but his set is just too short! I found myself so mesmerized by him that I just couldn't take it all in. He didn't have his eyes open too much through his set because I think he was so into the music. He was very good and seemed to be over his sickness from the previous week when I saw him in Cleveland.

David A came on and I loved all of his songs and I was as sad to see his set end as I was Jason's. David A. has really grown on me and he is another idol that I will support and go to see in the future. For the last song, he sings "When You Say You Love Me" and it was AMAZING because he sang for about 10 or 15 seconds to ME! He stared at me the WHOLE time he was singing one verse with his incredible eyes. He was wonderful and his singing was really powerful.

David Cook came on and sang well and threw some guitar picks into the audience in every song. I didn't notice just how many until I was closer to him. Someone made a sign that said "I MADE THIS SIGN SO DAVID COOK WOULD NOTICE ME" He thought it was funny and took it from her and showed the audience and traded her a water bottle for it......and he asked her if it was a fair trade. lol

PDSTM started and I loved seeing Jason on the stage again, of course. We left after PDSTM and we still got front row on the rope outside, which was nice.

Now, I was NOT going to stay after the concert to see Jason, as much as I wanted to. I didn't think it could top the afternoon (but I was wrong -- it was JUST as good). The other DHs kept trying to convince me to stay and I kept thinking I should go because of the 3 hour drive ahead of me, but thankfully I stayed.

Jason came out early -- like at 10:45 and he came to us FIRST!!! Yay!! I just watched him more this time. I didn't think I deserved another hug since I had almost knocked him down the first time. I took a picture of him with a few people for them. But, again, we decided to follow him down the line. The only other person to come out was KLC, so why not stalk Jason? Right after I saw him, early on, he said he was cold and he shivered. Okay, so HannaB gave him her jacket to wear (a red one). I was kicking myself because I was going to bring my jacket with me after the show, but I didn't. It was from Victoria's Secret, but it was blue. Oh, why didn't I bring it? I don't think I ever would have washed it again. lol So, we stalked Jason up the line. I won't describe it too much since there is going to be a video of the whole thing and she said she'd post it. She also has the video of the tree-bashing incident. Dingueape gave him the nerd glasses and I liked seeing him acting silly and goofy like he was. I hope his silliness came through on the camera. One thing I hope didn't come through on the camera is me talking because I kept getting in her way while she was filming and I was trying to take pics. He was wonderful with everyone. I am so glad I went to see him again because my last images of him in Cleveland were sad ones and I didn't want to remember him like that. I could tell that he seemed unhappy or down in Cleveland (David Cook, MJ and most of them didn't come out AT ALL and Jason probably came out to greet us even though he didn't quite feel up to it.). He seemed much happier in Ft. Wayne, so I really enjoyed seeing him like that. When it was time to go, I told him that we wouldn't forget him and that I was sad and he said "I'll see you guys again real soon" or something like that. That was a nice thought to leave with. He left after staying out for about an HOUR!! HannaB got her jacket back from him (I was the person who said "it's still warm" -- well, it was!) and all the DHs smelled it, which was quite humorous. lol Then, I said goodbye to everyone and I left. I got home at 3 am, but it was worth every second of my drive and I didn't get tired one bit.

Later, these are when he was wearing the "nerd" glasses. They go great with HannaB's jacket. Any other guy would not have pulled this look off quite so well, but Jason looked as great as ever.






Here he is holding overstrung's sign. The sign said "JASON IS HAWT", but unfortunately I cut part of it off because I was in such a hurry to capture his funny expression. I think it would have been hilarious with the glasses, too. (We should have asked for that one.)

eh, looks like you have to wait!  ;D  We had a massively wonderful time!  WVAPeachez, Mickeymouse, sandiemae and sherry all put on a fabulous time for us in Ft. Wayne, and Jason came out before (1st out!) and after the show and had an amazing set!  More later, don't want to post without my sidekick!

we had a great day here in ft wayne.  It was great meeting the other
dreadhead girls and the jason experience was...................well,
what can i say.  He came out in the afternoon and spent alot of time
but in the evening...............he really took his time and of course the
lines were even worse at night.  I wanted a hug so badly...........everyone
else seemed to be getting them.  I told him right before he left to get on
the bus that someone asked if i was his mother  (i think because i was
passing out the cd's) and asked him if i could have a hug before he left.
He said sure "mom" it was the highlight of my whole day.  He is so awsome
and such a beautiful presence about him.  How proud his real mom must
be of him. (I know I am)

I'm sure you will be getting pictures soon.  KQQyy has alot of video,
yes, she caught the tree incident, Too Funny and so Jasonlike.
I really enjoyed everyone.  Thanks to overstrung and mnbluets for my
great seat...................you are so special to me and KKQQY.  I got the
biggest kick out of all of them.  I don't think I saw Kitty without a smile
on her face and she seemed to really "love" her sign she made.  So cute.
I don't think it ever left her hands 
I hope everyone keeps in touch............and what a thrill it would be to
meet other dreads.  Sandimae and SherryL......................to funny.
What a blast we had........................
Hope everyone gets home safely..................great job you guys.
I'm going to go and get my pictures developed..............hope i have some
good ones..................

SOME KIND OF AWESOME WONDERFUL AND THIRD TIME IS THE CHARM!

Thank you so much to the lovely Indiana dreadheads who made me feel welcome, especially mbbluets who invited me to come stay with her, and the Ft Wayne Dreadheads, WVAPeaches and MickeyMouse (her son and his friend), Sherry and Sandimae; Kqqy, ndsoccer5, sierrach from Chicago, lizabeth7, HannaB and her hubby, dingueApe, Jasonsnurse, amidollover, and kk7888, and anyone else I am forgetting.... wasn't it fabulous??

The weather was 70 F PERFECT!!! No sweltering smoky Sac skies, or hot humid Georgia night. I was in my meteorological element. Kisses to Indiana...

TMJ is Too Much Jason, and you can never get enough! But can I just say AGAIN, the guy was so patient and made down the line at both daytime and nighttime meets. It was impossible not to follow him and just watch him interact with so many... Kqqy will have some awesome video of that. The night meet was only 1 or 2 people deep because they had this thin little roped stretched out for 100s of feet. Jason's patience will never cease to AMAZE ME!!!! And he sang GREAT!!

First row seats near the catwalk THANKS TO MBBLUETS, and for the first time, I sat through the entire show!!! what a way to end my year of Jason Castro. I could have held out my hand and caught MJ's sweat as he sang the right/wrong song.

Thanks to mickeymouse and WVAPeaches for only having left over the right letters to make my sign and mbbluets for making me spell it the right way... I sure hope someone got a pic of Jason holding it, I think Kqqky got the video.  My cam battery died during Cookie's performance.

The Cookie fans were awesome, Cleo, who DC took her poster on stage, and traded her for his waterbottle with and AI cozy. And I loved, loved, loved my new dreadhead friends, Camille and Madison (about 18?), who when they saw my sign before the concert, asked me if I met Jason during the day because they were in school, and how they could meet him, and I told them where to go after and they should ask him to sign their shirts. Later when I found them and they were so sweet, so I gave them 2 extra photos I had to have Jason autograph. They came up to me later and showed me they later got him to sign their arms and their shirts. Man, it felt so good to see THEIR smiles.

And Mickeymouse, may I just say, I NEVER saw a smile leave your face all day and night either!  Like I said, IT WAS SOME KIND OF AWESOME WONDERFUL!!  More stories later and pics to come.
